I had a really enjoyable stay at the Carlton Hotel in Folkestone. The hotel is in a great location, making it easy to explore the town and the seafront, and the staff were friendly and welcoming throughout my stay. The room was comfortable, clean and had everything I needed for a pleasant stay. The hotel has a traditional feel, which gives it plenty of character, and overall I found it to be good value for money. Check-in and check-out were straightforward, and the whole stay was hassle-free. I’d happily stay at the Carlton again if I’m back in Folkestone and would recommend it to anyone looking for a reasonably priced hotel in a convenient location.

A pleasant stay with a beautiful sea view Overall, everything was satisfactory. However, during check-in, the staff initially mistook our reservation as being for four people and without breakfast. After climbing the narrow stairs to the top floor, we realised that the room provided had beds for only four guests. The staff rechecked the booking and then gave us the correct room for five people, with breakfast included. Although the mix-up and changing rooms were inconvenient, the issue was resolved. Our room had a beautiful view of the esplanade and the sea, which we greatly appreciated. The breakfast was also enjoyable, and the rest of our stay was pleasant.

This feels like good quality accommodation, despite being an Attic room the ceiling is quite high . However the room layout is naturally restricted so one twin bed is snuggled against the wall with restricted headroom. The payoff is a good sized ensuite with natural light . The upside in the summer is the aircon, the downside in the winter is the radiator adjacent to the twin bed. This is a small twin room next to a pub with lots of history,

Hot strong shower, the room is clean except the carpet which is a bit filthy. Very good and speedy check in, but it's manned only in the am and evening. We returned at 11pm one night while the car park was all full. We had a bit of a headache
