The dorm is transformed from a prison, it is super nice. Front desk helps me upgrade the room as well because now it is a slack season. Overall experience is good, but the bathroom is a bit less, i cant imagine if the dorm is full of crowds with sharing just few bathrooms. 😂

I’ve stayed in fair few budget and mid-range hostels, and overall, Cable Beach Backpackers has a really good vibe. The Good Stuff: • Its a perfect Location. Literally walking distance to Cable Beach, restaurants, and bars. There’s also a bus stop right outside that heads into town every 20 minutes, which was a lifesaver. • The staff are so welcoming and easy to chat with. The little on-site bar has great prices, and the outdoor area is awesome—heaps of undercover seating and a brilliant hammock zone. The kitchen is also massive with plenty of room to cook and store your food. • Having good Wi-Fi was amazing, especially since mobile network coverage can be pretty patchy around the area. • I felt completely safe the entire time. I never worried about my personal safety or my belongings, which is always a huge relief when backpacking. The Not-So-Good Stuff (Just being honest): • I was in a 4-person dorm. It’s pretty basic (two bunks and a clothes rack) and felt super cramped once everyone brought their bags in. The biggest issue was airflow. The window wouldn’t open, so even with the ceiling fan and two portable fans blasting, it got really stuffy and stinky. The only way to get fresh air was leaving the main door wide open. While I felt safe enough to do this, it’s still not ideal for privacy or keeping the bugs out. Putting flyscreens on the doors could fix this! • I didn't see any lockers in the room for safely locking away small valuables. If they do have them and I just missed them, it would be great to have them highlighted at check-in, otherwise adding some would be a great upgrade. • There are noise restrictions after 10 PM, but people were still talking loudly, playing music and making noise late into the night every evening. Also, a lot of guests didn't clean up after themselves, so the shared tables and bathrooms were pretty messy a lot of the time. People also ignored the designated smoking areas. Overall, the location, Wi-Fi, and staff are top-notch, and it feels like a very safe spot to stay. I know you get what you pay for but it could still do with a little bit of a reno and better upkeep to stop the shared spaces from getting messy.

Apartamento Mountway Hotel: Una joya económica para viajeros asiáticos en Perth Recientemente me alojé en el Apartamento Mountway Hotel en Perth y debo decir que es una de las mejores opciones en su rango de precio, especialmente para viajeros asiáticos que buscan una estancia larga con cocina. Ubicación: La ubicación del hotel es increíblemente conveniente para desplazarse. Está a solo 1,1 km de la estación central de tren y puedes tomar autobuses gratuitos como el Red CAT, el Blue CAT o el Green CAT, con paradas a solo 100-250 m, perfectos para desplazarte fácilmente. Detrás del hotel se encuentra el impresionante Kings Park y el Jardín Botánico. Si no te apetece caminar los 300 m para llegar, el Blue CAT te dejará sin esfuerzo. La accesibilidad al transporte público y a las atracciones cercanas es una gran ventaja. Limpieza: Aunque el exterior puede parecer un poco anticuado, el interior está sorprendentemente impecable. Reservé una habitación para dos, pero la ropa de cama y las almohadas eran suficientes para cuatro, lo cual fue un detalle muy agradable. Todo se sentía fresco y bien cuidado, y quedé muy satisfecho con la limpieza. Instalaciones: La cocina privada fue un punto a destacar: estaba equipada con una olla arrocera, ollas, sartenes, tostadora, nevera y suficientes cubiertos, platos y utensilios para cuatro personas. Incluso ofrecen café, algo que agradecí. Sin embargo, hay algunas desventajas: la cocina eléctrica es pequeña y anticuada, lo que hace que cocinar sea un poco lento. Además, no hay sal ni condimentos básicos, ni palillos, lo que podría ser un inconveniente para los huéspedes asiáticos. El baño tiene una bañera muy limpia, pero carece de champú y gel de ducha, así que tendrás que traer los tuyos. A pesar de estos pequeños inconvenientes, sigo considerando que Mountway Hotel Apartment tiene la mejor relación calidad-precio en su categoría. Es práctico, cómodo e ideal para viajeros asiáticos que quieran quedarse más tiempo y cocinar a su gusto. ¡Lo recomendaría con mucho gusto a cualquiera que busque una experiencia hogareña lejos del hogar en Perth!

Cons: parking a bit limited, unsecure. Elevator is functional but a bit scary for my partner. A microwave or similar would have been nice? Or even just cutlery? In places, property is showing age but within reason. Noise through floors/walls from other guests, even closing doors a floor above is very audible let alone TV/etc Shower head needed descaling and was a bit erratic Pros: On beachfront, although our view was a bit obstructed. Dining next door has always been excellent, great food. Room was large, functional, and quite clean and pleasant. Bed was comfortable, pillows pleasant and linen clean. Check in and out was easy and simple. Overall, I'd stay here again and plan to book a room again in December. Our 2 nights here were great, and watching the water from our table having dinner in the rain was fantastic. If you're expecting a 5-star resort, you'll be dissapointed. If you want a clean, large, comfortable room, in a good location and easy access to good food (recommend the fish and chip shop 5 mins away), and just a pleasant beach front stay? Book here.

Great 2 nights stay in this hotel. The check in process was easy and they served us well. As the hotel designed like heritage style, we can experience the old-timer environment. It's a shared bathroom, and it would be better if the hotel equips more lights, especially during night time. They do have a private customer parking spot which is great and convenience. Overall, we have a pleasant stay in this hotel

A nice hostel not too far from Perth city center. Good things I liked: - Comfortable mattress, with a small curtain for a little privacy - Staffs were nice and helpful - common areas, kitchen, and showers/toilets were cleaned daily - Plus point: Breakfast included (simple toasts with peanut butter/Jam/choc spread) - Free coffee and tea (not the best quality but ok) - near bus stop and grocery (Woolworths) Not so good things: - rooms are quite cramped - no signage outside, bit confusing & hard to find for first timers - Most of the furniture and kitchen facilities are quite old - front porch & yard seems messy & unaesthetic - Price-to-quality ratio: ok The free breakfast, nice & helpful staff, kitchen space and social areas make this hostel recommendable. However, needs for hostel signage & revamping of all spaces & furnitures would make it a highly recommended hostel.

Solo me quedé una noche porque tenía una visita guiada al día siguiente. Fui a la cocina a las 6 de la mañana antes de irme y estaba en un estado asqueroso. Había palomas rondando por las sobras y la cocina de gas estaba encendida. Estoy de acuerdo en que son los que se alojan allí y la falta de respeto que tienen por el lugar, pero seguramente deberían revisarlo al final de la noche o muy temprano, ya que no es culpa de todos. Me impidió usar la cocina. Hay un cartel que dice que se multará a quienes dejen ollas fuera, pero había tantas que no se revisa. La habitación privada estaba limpia y tenía lo básico. Pero las zonas comunes eran desagradables.

Good place to stop for a night if you’re doing the Perth to Wave Rock roadtrip. Motel is located in a peaceful small town called Kondinin. Servo is just right outside the motel.

Our family was very big and comfortable. It is old style but we like it that way. The beddings are very clean and professionally made up and the mattress is firm and very comfortable like those in international hotels. We did not get hot water at night, maybe over utilised but it was okay in the morning. Maybe it is more cost saving to install instant heaters to save water wastage from waiting for the hot water with the running tap. There was some simple continental breakfast. We had issues with checking in but it was more to do with not reading their check in emails advice very carefully. Despite this and the hot water, we would still recommend this place for travellers.
