I took the cable car to Sarankot, it was a great experience. I had the carriage all to myself. I must say the staff were wonderful.. From the driver who picked me up at my hotel to the ticket staff, the boarding staff and exit staff I would recommend this to everyone going to Sarankot. I stayed at The high Ground Hotel, it was basic, cheap (£12.00 per night) which included breakfast My room was excellent and I had a nice view of lakeside from my small balcony The room and private bathroom was was spotlessly clean. The staff were wonderful, so helpful and very attentive. Dinner was great, I tried sadako for the first time, I really enjoyed it after the initial shock of how spicy it was. The only downside was the weather. It was very misty, so I didn't see the Annapurna Mountains at sunset. The morning was also misty however I did see the mountain a, even if it wasn't clear.

Bueno: Ubicación conveniente, fácil de encontrar. El lago está a unos 500 metros. Hay muchos restaurantes y pequeñas tiendas cerca. Una habitación agradable con una cama cómoda. El agua caliente es suficiente. La habitación tiene todo lo necesario, incluyendo un hervidor de agua con menaje para preparar té y café, y agua potable. Hay un balcón con una mesa y dos sillas. La limpieza es diaria. La azotea del hotel tiene una terraza con vistas a las montañas donde puedes relajarte (algunas habitaciones también tienen vistas a la montaña). La vista al lago no es muy buena, ya que está parcialmente oculta por otros edificios. El personal se encarga de todos los trámites técnicos necesarios (incluidos los billetes del teleférico y los taxis, aunque los precios de los taxis nos parecieron excesivos en comparación con Katmandú). De regreso a Katmandú, nos llevaron gratis a la estación de autobuses (a unos dos kilómetros). El desayuno buffet era bastante decente. Malo: Había una nevera, pero no funcionaba.

I had a great stay at this hostel in Pokhara, perfectly located right by the lake. The common area is spacious and уютная, making it easy to relax or meet other travelers. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the breakfasts were fresh and delicious… I’d definitely stay here again!

К сожалению, звёзды ставлю только за работу сотрудников на стойке регистрации. Парни на ресепшене действительно вежливые, отзывчивые, всегда готовы помочь и подсказать — и маршруты, и трансфер, и где поесть. Им отдельное спасибо и пять баллов из пяти. За три дня не вынесли мусор, уборки нет, не поменяли полотенца, пыль так и лежала. Грязно. Такое ощущение, что сервис и чистота — это разные отели. Но спасибо администраторам на ресепшене — самые приятные люди в этом отеле.

El hotel es un hotel sencillo. Mi habitación está situada al lado del ascensor y en el segundo piso. Fue tan ruidoso toda la noche debido a los huéspedes que se ingresan y salen.

El hotel está muy limpio y se encuentra en una tranquila zona residencial, cerca del lago. Sin embargo, ocasionalmente hay cortes de luz, algo inevitable. La tienda también ayuda a reservar billetes de autobús y otras excursiones. Si compra una excursión con ellos, el servicio podría ser mejor.

The hotel is a little far from the lakeside, so it takes a bit of extra time to get to the main area. However, the distance is balanced out by the great value for money. The rooms are clean, the staff is helpful, and the amenities are well-maintained. If you don’t mind being slightly away from the lakeside, this is a solid and budget‑friendly choice. I had a pleasant stay overall.

Very nice hotel. Breakfast buffet had a good assortment. Room service was always quick and cheerful. Fan in our toilet was noisy and some water ran from the shower floor into the toilet area. You do get quite a bit of noise coming from Lakeside road businesses Overall a pleasant enough.

An excellently located guest house. Just off the main road in central Lakeside yet so calm and peaceful. Quite unbelievable really. Beautiful gardens, spacious rooms and 2 min walk to the best section of the lake in this area. Pratigya, one of the owners, helped me decide what trekking route to take and recommended some cool extra sections that turned out to be big highlights for me. She helped, advised and booked everything from buses, permits, taxis and masseuses and made sure I had her number for in case I ran into problems on my trek. As a solo female traveler this was extremely comforting. When I come back to do one of the treks that can only be done with a guide I will be contacting her and her husband. I highly recommend Yeti guest house and especially the owners / hosts.
