Está situado en una colina al final de un camino bastante empinado, pero las vistas eran preciosas. El personal del hotel era amable y el hotel en sí estaba muy limpio. Las camas tenían mosquiteras, así que la protección contra los insectos era excelente.

Heaven on earth! Absolutely spoiled every morning with breakfast on their rooftop overlooking the famous Ella Rock. Possibly the best bedroom view I’ve ever seen. We travelled in April which is notoriously muggy and hot, but the electric fans are very powerful and kept us nice and cool in the evenings, they even have a sleep setting on them! Couldn’t have asked for much more. 5 min TukTuk to and from town (500sr or £1.50). Or a peaceful 10 minute walk. 11/10 would recommend

The location was absolutely stunning in the heart of the jungle but only a short walk to the nine arch bridge (you can even see the train passing through the trees during the day). The bird song and jungle noise was so peaceful, the rooms were clean, quality bedding and well thought out little touches in terms of toiletries (even some books on the shelf). The breakfast was delicious and so much food! But most importantly to note Yugesh was fantastic at attending to our needs whether that be to organise our laundry to be sent out and cleaned, making sure we had everything we needed for breakfast or coming with us on the walk to the bridge to get the best spots to film the train crossing, pictures etc. He was very kind, professional and thoughtful, he really made our trip. Another person to note was Nimal, the TukTuk driver who helped us easily get about. Free shuttle to Ella town from the hotel which is great! Anything else at an extra cost. Highly recommend this unique stay.

Keeping in mind this is a 3 star hotel, the positives are the rooms are big with a balcony looking out at amazing views (ours anyway), and the pool is clean and quite big also with amazing views and a concrete elephant water feature!!! The location of the hotel is pretty good too - far enough from other properties to be quiet but close enough to Ella main drag that you can walk in 10-15 minutes or pay a tuk tuk driver double the rate of Colombo to get to and from. The big negative for us was that despite being told upon checking in that the room would be cleaned every day, it was not. And I was told the reason why was that we didn’t hand in our key for it to be done - which seems bizarre after staying in hotels for decades and not being told to or having to hand in a key in order to get a standard daily room clean. The insinuation that it was our fault for not handing in a key (not that we were told to do so on checking in) was extremely irritating. Food was ok but overpriced so we ate elsewhere (lots of options). There were lots of little things in the rooms that could be easily addressed to make them nicer - definitely not having ripped old bath towels, and removing an empty TV bracket from the wall (like a TV used to be there but not anymore - or was it just our room, who knows). All these little things add up to I really think the room rate is too high - but we are here in the high season so maybe that’s just the going rate.

J’ai apprécié l’emplacement un peu à l’écart de la grande avenue, mais il est vrai que le soir la rue est sombre. La chambre est grande avec un grand balcon, la literie est confortable. Par contre je n’ai pas aimé que le petit déjeuner soit mentionné et qu’on m’ait averti la veille qu’il ne le servaient pas sans même trouver d’alternative. Le wifi n’est pas du tout stable et la communication avec le gérant est presque inexistante. On ne m’a jamais répondu ni pour le petit déjeuner ni pour le wifi

Dowa Elegance Resort is a peaceful retreat surrounded by beautiful nature. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the staff is very kind and attentive, and the atmosphere is perfect for relaxation. A great place to enjoy the beauty of Sri Lanka with warm hospitality.

Es un poco alto en una colina, pero la vista desde mi balcón era maravillosa.También está justo a la calle principal, así que si no te importa el paseo y baja todavía está relativamente bien situado a estar cerca de los bars y restaurantes y tiendas de los backpackers. El desayuno tenía muchas opciones locales de Sri Lanka que aprecié muy bien, y el personal también estaba feliz de explicar cada plato a los nuevos. ¿Un pequeño consejo para el equipo: quizás contratar a algunas mujeres empleadas? Como una mujer que viajaba sola, una de las primeras cosas que noté fue el personal de todo el hombreo al menos, no vi una mujer trabajando allí en mi estancia 2-night. No tengo ningún problema con eso, pero los viajeros de mujeres solitarias más jóvenes podrían estar involuntariamente asustados

When we originally booked there was only 1 review so we were hesitant to book but decided to anyway. It turned out to be the best decision and we couldn’t be happier. The room and view is absolutely beautiful. Watching the sunrise and hearing the birds from the big and comfortable balcony was a highlight of our trip. The hosts really thought of everything. They have a tuktuk service to take you into the city, the hotel is a few minutes walk from the nine arches, lots of amenities you might need, and delicious breakfast. We hope to stay again! We had a lovely stay at Ella Rawana Den Hotel in Ella. The location is excellent — just a short walk to town, making it very convenient for restaurants, cafes and exploring the area. One of the highlights was the beautiful balcony view overlooking the lush green hills. It was the perfect place to relax in the morning or evening. The room was big, clean and comfortable, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. However, it’s important for older guests or anyone with mobility issues to know that the hotel is located up a very steep hill. Cars and tuk-tuks cannot access the property directly, so you need to walk up, which can be challenging — especially with heavy luggage. Because of this, it may not be suitable for elderly or disabled travellers. One small improvement would be for the hotel to provide a hairdryer in the rooms, as this would be very helpful for female guests. Overall, a great stay with beautiful views and kind staff — just be prepared for the steep climb!
