Fantastic location with stunning river views and a really nice hotel to stay in. The staff are very attentive and the facilities extremely comprehensive. The breakfast is a real must for anyone who wants the genuine full English experience and is cooked to order.

El hotel está en fase de renovación por un tiempo, por lo que puede ser una suerte si tienes o no una habitación renovada. La habitación era limpia y el baño sin lugar a ducha. La señora que nos ha inspeccionado fue muy amable. La única queja que podía decir era que la habitación que teníamos señal de teléfono no existía, podría haber sido más caliente en la habitación pero es entre el verano y el invierno y para nosotros estaba bien. Me gusta este hotel y por el precio que usted lucharía para encontrar en algún lugar tan bueno. Visitará de nuevo.

I booked the hotel as I needed somewhere to stay en route to south Devon agter collecting my son from a late flight at Bristol airport, so our stay was short, and overall I was pleasantly surprised by the hotel. We arrived at 1:15am and there were a few things that could be improved - very tired after a very long day and a late drive, I found the instructions to find our room qyite confusing. On the paper with instructions it had the building names, but in the dark you can't see these, so it took us some trial and error to find our room. The room itself was clean and comfortable (albeit very warm and needing the window opening), as was the bathroom. My biggest concern was that I saw there was a kettle, but after searching numerous places I couldn't find a cup or glass to have some water to take my nighttime supplements, or to have something to drink in the night (I had to return to the car to get my water bottle). At receptionnin the morning I asked if there should be glasses or cups on the room, but the receptionist didn't seem to think there would be, whcih i found a bit odd. It was only on returning to my room and reading the welcome folder that I saw mention of a drawer where I'd find tea cups etc. Then sure enough I saw it marked clearly and found it. This was my mistake of course, however I would suggest that, baring in mind some travellers arrive late at night and basically want to roll into bed on arrival, it would be helpful to have some glasses or something left visible, so that clients don't have to search for them when they can barely keep their eyes open! Other than this though, I found our stay to be very pleasant, and I was impressed that the cooked breakfast was made to order, fresh and hot. Overall a good stay, just a few things that could be improved to make it easier for those arriving outside if reception opening times.

29/04/2025. We have been to the cliffden hotel three times and had a club room on the first floor they were nice large rooms but this time we were on the second floor our room was very small and claustrophobic nothing like the photos in the booking . We asked for a different room and the man at reception said see me tomorrow morning and if there's a larger room you can have it. Later on in the day my partner went to reception to book a table for an evening meal for us. While she was booking the table the lady at the reception said there were no other rooms you can have. The barman was very polite nice to chat to. We only had one meal in the evening cod and chips could not find much cod it was all batter. Other meal gammon and chips gammon would be good to repair your soles on your shoes. Go to the local chip shop absolutely beautiful. We used the indoor swimming pool which was nice and clean. The gardens are lovely, and the beer is very expensive. Go to the jolly sailor pub with drinks at good prices. Reception is not very helpful. I can't understand why the hotel puts people with dogs on the second floor because when the dog wants to go to the toilet by the time you get down to the entrance the dog has already peed on the carpets. Luckily our dog can hold her pee and she is small enough to carry.I have followed other people with their dogs and seen it. Overall we were very disappointed with our stay this time.

The hotel itself was nice; can’t fault it. Our room however, had a weird, stale smell and was off-putting, with no way to ventilate the room by opening the windows, as you cannot open them - A/C is not a natural ventilation. Bed was comfortable, slept perfectly fine, just not nice waking up with the smell, as mentioned before. Breakfast was good, although I’ve had better.

Soy un invitado de regreso frecuente. El hotel está situado en la parte inferior de la calle principal de Totnes. Es un hotel y bar ocupados, sirven comida. El edificio es viejo con una escalera central que conduce a las habitaciones. Las habitaciones están muy limpias, decoradas de forma sabrosa y las camas son cómodas.. El hotel está muy bien situado, y el hotel está muy bien situado, y el hotel está muy bien situado. El hotel está muy cerca de la ciudad, pero no se puede encontrar en el hotel. T han permanecido en otros hoteles etc si no hay vacaciones aquí, pero de mi experiencia si te gusta un ambiente relajado amigable, hermosas habitaciones, ubicación Totnes como base, entonces este es el lugar para venir . También es un paseo a un paseo de la película más hermosa que he estado en, que se está ahogando, a lo largo de la calle principal, El hotel ofrece capacidad para 6 coches en la parte de atrás del hotel.

Obsługa była miła i pomocna, napewno polecam ten hotel innym. Bliskość morza jest bardzo dużym plusem.

Anteriormente enviado por correo electrónico para preguntar si el estacionamiento de coches está disponible y se le dijo sí, el estacionamiento de coches en el lugar, llegó a encontrar no estacionamiento de coches y tiene que estacionar en un parque público (y pagar) arriba de la colina del hotel. El director se disculpó y renunciaba al comisario de 20 libras de comisiones, y se recomendó que el partido de Inglaterra se mostraría en el bar y las bebidas serían 3 por 2. El hotel se ha vuelto a ver y aprovechar para ser informado por el barman que las hastas no funcionaban y porque no podía trabajar 30% de las bebidas que no ofrecían 3 por 2 y lo que queríamos que hiciera en ella. Desgraciadamente, el mal servicio al cliente no es lo que yo esperaría y no optaría por permanecer allí otra vez.

Lovely friendly place next to the river. Plenty of parking facilities just over the bridge which is approx five minute walk.  The room itself is spacious enough although for some may be a little dated. Bed is comfortable with a lovely duvet and pillows. Only downside was the curtains which are not blackout so do let in too much light for me but heyho I still had a reasonable night sleep  To get to the room we stayed in, we had to walk up a spiral staircase which for some people, this could be a struggle as the steps have been assembled quite tightly due to space so make the steps on the small side, there is obviously a handrail so coming down side ways helps.  Breakfast was continental consisting of fruit, cereal, yoghurt ( which was exceptionally tasty) toast etc. An English breakfast was offered at an additional cost but we preferred this option.  All in all a lovely place to stay with friendly welcoming hosts who were on hand to offer advise and assistance should you need it.

The hotel is lovely, great atmosphere and brilliant location. I got the sea view room and it's literally in front view of the beach and all the action. The room was large, spacious, clean, massive super-king bed, and the facilities were good as I discovered a basement gym which is really neat. However, as frequent traveller who loves functionality, in comparison to what I've seen in other like-for-like hotels, for a premium room with sea view, one of the window panes were smudged and dirty so I couldn't fully appreciate the ”sea view”. Secondly, for a premium room you would expect biscuits, water bottle, fridge as minimum, and optional extras for premium rooms I see bath robes and slippers. But the hotel didn't have them at all. All on top of that they didn't serve dinner as a whole (and hence no room service) and then charging £15 for parking, which is ridiculous to be totally honest. I parked on street 2 min walk away £6 by 12pm next day.
