Hoteles de 3 estrellas en Distrito Nacional, República Dominicana

I had stayed here before the pandemic about 3 times. The property is very clean, it is located in the older ”colonial” part of the city. Traffic in this area is a nightmare due to the narrow streets. SAFE area, police presence all over. The GOOD: Clean, Safe, Staff Friendly, plenty of places nearby to eat. Breakfast supplied is ample and of decent quality, food for linch or dinner in the hotel restaurant is good though limited menu, space for seating is very limited inside the restaurant, water pressure in the shower is excellent the room safe is large. The BAD: Room Small like an IBIS, Bathroom smaller than an IBIS, A/C in my room was ”marginal” at best and previous stays here noticed this, Elevator very slow, the worst part this is not a business hotel. While the Internet provided is decent, there is NO work space available at all in the rooms. NO electrical outlets available all are hidden behind furniture or the bed and no desk type area. Had to charge my phone in the bathroom outlet and use computer on battery. Also had a room phone and minor toilet issue which I reported twice and nothing was done. DO NOT have the hotel arrange for the hotel taxi to drive you to the airport cost is $50.oo ! Make your own arrangements or get an UBER. CONCLUSION: While on vacation for a couple of days this is a Nice place to stay and see the colonial sights and enjoy the atmosphere. However, ”on business” this is not the place to stay. I will be returning on business for a longer stay in late January or early February, unfortunately I will have to stay elsewhere.

Objetivamente, no lo recomiendo. Hay un casino en la planta baja, que es bastante ruidoso. De hecho, no hay agua caliente para bañarse y las instalaciones son relativamente antiguas. Sin embargo, la piscina es muy bonita y las hamburguesas están hechas. junto al restaurante de la piscina también son riquísimos. No se recomienda si traes niños.

I’m all for a colonial experience but not when it’s overpriced. El Beaterio is charming and feels authentic. Old wooden beams, clay tiled floors, wooden armoires, four poster beds which were surprisingly excellent. Even the bathroom was clean, had great water pressure & temperature. WiFi worked well enough. I suppose my issue with El Beaterio is how cold and unfriendly the service was all around. Reception was frosty and all business. They were quick to ask for a 50$ deposit even before they asked for my passport. And the front desk guy was also too quick to push for a tour HE was guiding the next day even if his English wasn’t particularly a strong point. Breakfast, while good and hearty, was again served with nonchalant silence. I suppose management doesn’t care much for attempts at warmth or sincerity —but what stings is the price. One would expect just a bit more from a property that charges 100$usd per night especially around Zona Colonial where there are plenty of choices. So go ahead and book if you’re in for the “colonial” experience. Just don’t expect old world charm or regular world friendliness or professionalism.

El desayuno fue realmente bueno y delicioso. El personal fue muy amable, solo les escribí para cambiar la habitación, pero no me respondieron, así que les aconsejo que revisen los mensajes y respondan a tiempo. El dormitorio con 1 cama de matrimonio era realmente agradable. No tenían muchas opciones para 2 camas individuales, aunque estaba limpio. El aire acondicionado funciona muy bien. Está muy bien ubicado en el centro de la ciudad, hay varios restaurantes y bares a poca distancia.

Minus 1. Rook 316. Air conditioner not working. Remote screen broken and cannot see control panel. Couldn't change to another room as hotel was full. Had to sleep in room with fan only. 2. Fan didn't seem to work at first but staff managed to repair it. Working fan made loud noises. 3. No mirror in room. 4. One window faces inside of the house corridor the 2nd window is in toilet facing the outside. Plus 1. Both staff at reception very friendly especially the night shift guy who helped to solve the air con and fan problem. Both are good in english. 2. TV has a few channels in English. 3. There is lift and room has the basic amenities. 4. Location is superb and a good local restaurant nearby.

I have no complaints. My stay was well pleasurable. I would like to, however give special thanks to Wesley at the front desk, he was very courteous and accommodating, especially that he speaks English well, we were able to communicate with ease and also the cleaning staff who always have a warm and pleasant look on their faces. One in particular name Molin.

You cant go wrong with this one. Very nice staff, good location, good bed shower and modern. Plus is the self laundry- washing and drying. Very good and new facilities and it is free. Will def go with this one again.

Süßes kleines Hotel am Rande der Altstadt! Es hat mir super gefallen! Die Zimmer sind sehr unterschiedlich in der Lage! Ich mochte das Zimmer 11 mit Blick auf die Bäume vor dem Haus im Park! Etwas dunkel, aber ruhig und entspannt! Die anderen Zimmer sind im Hinterhof. Das Personal spricht leider kein Englisch. Dafür schauen sie aber den ganzen Tag gern die Dominikanischen Realityshows, und das ohne Kopfhörer! Aber dieses Gequietsche der Handys hört man überall in Lateinamerika! Ich hoffe diese Seuche ist bald vorbei!

Apart from the hotel's convenient location and the somewhat distinctive public areas, there is little to recommend it. The room facilities, in particular, are quite dated—and even in a state of disrepair.

El hotel estaba bien, pero esperaba más, probablemente no me quedaré en este hotel otra vez.
