Muy bueno
Bbrayden_foongIt was definitely an enjoyable and worthy experience of traditional ryokan with tatami and futon with the best view of Mt. Fuji from the room window! The hotel itself overlooks parts of Mt. Fuji with Lake Kawaguchiko, and we even added on dinner and breakfast during the stay! They are simply one of the best meals during the trips in Tokyo! The onsen is another bonus to enjoy while seeing the view of Mt Fuji, even though it is public hot spring which might be a culture shock. Definitely worth to try it out again to enjoy the traditional Japan vibes around Lake Kawaguchiko.
UUsuario invitadoEveryone we encountered was incredibly kind and welcoming, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The warmth and hospitality created such a peaceful and comforting atmosphere throughout our visit. It was a truly serene and beautiful experience that left us feeling refreshed and grateful.
KKibiwottA very lovely hotel that is a heaven for kids.
They have all the necessities you might need for babies to preschooler. Great staff, all friendly and helpful and really great amenities. Located in a peaceful lovely town with very kind and friendly locals.
Only gripe is that the soundproofing of the rooms are non existent! We could hear the entire conversation of the guest next door.
90% local Japanese guests but surprisingly they are not the usual polite and considerate guests. They allow their kids to run and scream down the hallways outside the rooms as early as 6am and late as 11pm, the adults themselves are talking loudly too. So, if you're a light sleeper who goes to bed early, this hotel is not for you.
UUsuario invitadoFor any Yuru Camp anime fans, if you also are interested in an Onsen experience this is the perfect place. The facilities and staff are amazing! I couldn't believe the size of my room, especially after coming from a business hotel in Tokyo. I thought Deluxe Twin was just the ”deluxe” version of a standard single twin size bed room instead of two twin beds but there are no complaints.
Given it's more remote location I was expecting zero English but I was so surprised at how well some of the staff spoke English and had print outs for English speakers. I have to shout out two staff members, Nozomi and Joon Bae's english combined with my limited and grammatically atrocious Japanese they went above and beyond making me understand how everything worked as well as assisting me with my ventures outside of the onsen. They have two e-bikes available for rent which I rode to the next station on the minobu line so I could visit the school that was used in the anime as well as get a taxi to take me to Lake Shibere, from episodes 6 and 7 of season one.
It was my first time in Japan, being the only foreigner at the hotel for the two full days, I only visited the baths once however the facilities are amazing and I plan on going back to use the Onsen more.
Service staff were efficient, although queueing to trade your keys for your shoes slowed things down. (Understandable, because this is also a day-trip onsen, so the hotel needs to ensure all tabs are covered before letting guests go.)
Facilities were old but well-maintained, although my room window couldn't be closed without force. Wide variety of baths to choose from, and convenient hours.
Note that there is no shampoo, conditioner or body soap in guestrooms, as this is an onsen facility - all soaps and bath amenities are provided in the onsen area.
Several onsite restaurants providing many food options, which made up for the lack of vegetarian-friendly options around the area.
UUsuario invitadoA traditional Japanese-style hotel with an amazing location right by Lake Kawaguchi. Many rooms and the onsen offer beautiful views of Mount Fuji, creating a very relaxing atmosphere.
The biggest highlights are the stunning Fuji view, good breakfast/dinner buffet, helpful staff, and convenient shuttle service from the station. The rooms feel slightly dated compared to newer resorts, but they are clean and more spacious than typical Japanese hotel rooms.
Highly recommended if you want a peaceful onsen stay with iconic Mount Fuji scenery.
LLim Sian howEnjoyed our stay at Fuji Onsenji Hotel. The room was clean and comfortable, and the onsen was very good and relaxing. Breakfast was a highlight felt like a private omakase experience, beautifully prepared and delicious. The only downside is the location, which is a bit less convenient, but overall a pleasant and memorable stay.
