It was definitely an enjoyable and worthy experience of traditional ryokan with tatami and futon with the best view of Mt. Fuji from the room window! The hotel itself overlooks parts of Mt. Fuji with Lake Kawaguchiko, and we even added on dinner and breakfast during the stay! They are simply one of the best meals during the trips in Tokyo! The onsen is another bonus to enjoy while seeing the view of Mt Fuji, even though it is public hot spring which might be a culture shock. Definitely worth to try it out again to enjoy the traditional Japan vibes around Lake Kawaguchiko.

Dos días y una noche superaron con creces las expectativas. Fue más que una simple estancia y dos comidas. Fue una muy buena experiencia de estancia. A su llegada, el personal de servicio le presentará en detalle varios derechos e intereses y los entregará en la habitación. Las pausas para el té y los lounges incluidos en el precio de la habitación requieren pasar la tarjeta de la habitación para entrar, y la oferta es ilimitada. Por la tarde, hay matcha japonés y snacks en otro salón de té. La cena y el desayuno kaiseki fueron ricos y deliciosos. Hay una piscina al aire libre en la habitación. Se siente tan bien contemplar el Monte Fuji mientras se sumerge en las aguas termales. Además, la piscina está llena de agua que circula constantemente, a diferencia de las salas de aguas termales domésticas que liberan agua cada vez que se sumerge. . La apariencia del hotel es un poco antigua, pero el jardín es hermoso y también vale la pena ver la actuación de tambores por la noche.

Everyone we encountered was incredibly kind and welcoming, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The warmth and hospitality created such a peaceful and comforting atmosphere throughout our visit. It was a truly serene and beautiful experience that left us feeling refreshed and grateful.

We had a wonderful stay at Grand Mercure Yatsugatake as a family traveling with a baby. The hotel is surrounded by nature, with beautiful views of the mountains, which immediately creates a calm and relaxing atmosphere — perfect for families who want to slow down and breathe. The hotel is very family-friendly. Traveling with a baby can be stressful, but the staff made us feel welcome and comfortable from the moment we arrived. Everyone was kind, patient, and attentive, which really made a difference for us as parents. The room was spacious, clean, and quiet, with enough space to comfortably stay with a baby. We especially appreciated the peaceful environment at night, which allowed our baby (and us!) to rest well. The facilities were also well suited for families. The common areas are easy to navigate with a stroller, and the overall layout of the hotel feels relaxed and not overwhelming. The natural surroundings add a special charm and make the stay feel refreshing and rejuvenating. Overall, Grand Mercure Yatsugatake is an excellent choice for families with babies who are looking for comfort, tranquility, and good service in a beautiful natural setting. We would definitely consider coming back and recommend it to other families traveling with young children.

I very much enjoyed my stay at the Shimobe Hotel. I originally wanted to stay at a nearby temple in Mount Minobe but realized that it was mainly an experience made for foreigners. I think we were the only foreigners there for our 2-night stay. I personality want to avoid staying with foreigners and want more of the local experience. The service was great, they could check you in and out without too much of a language barrier. We added dinner during check-in without any problem, we realized that the town closed early at night and was concerned that we wouldn't find a great place to eat dinner. The buffet dinner was great and we got a complimentary sashimi plate and yuzu highball on our second day. The breakfast buffet was also very good with a mix of local and western dishes. The station is located right near the hotel so it makes it a perfect spot to make a quick Mount Minobe day trip.

Esta vez vine al lago Kawaguchi, elegí quedarme en este hotel centenario, que fue muy bueno. La ubicación del hotel está un poco lejos de la estación Kawaguchiko. Se recomienda utilizar el autobús de enlace designado por el hotel para llegar al hotel en unos 10 minutos. Aunque el tío que conducía el coche era muy mayor, era muy eficiente. Si ve un pasajero, tomará la iniciativa de recoger su equipaje. Las sillas con cojines se colocarán antes de subir y bajar del autobús para que nos sea más fácil subir y bajar del autobús. Si no puede tomar el autobús del hotel, también puede optar por tomar el autobús de la línea verde desde la estación Kawaguchiko hasta la estación Shikishima Nomatsu. Hay una señal que indica el hotel donde se baja. Sin embargo, la Línea Verde sale cada hora, por lo que hay que prestar atención al tiempo de viaje. El ambiente del hotel es muy bueno, con jardines que rodean todo el hotel. Frente al monte Fuji, debes elegir una habitación con vistas a la montaña. Las ventanas de la habitación ofrecen una vista panorámica del monte Fuji, lo cual es muy impactante. El Hotel B1 también cuenta con aguas termales cubiertas y al aire libre, y la comida sabe bien. El recepcionista de la recepción le explicará cada instalación en detalle y es amable y atento, lo que hace que la gente se sienta muy relajada. El único inconveniente es que básicamente no hay restaurantes alrededor, por lo que puedes elegir el hotel para cenar o ir al 7-11 cercano para empacar la comida de regreso al hotel.

El Hotel Fuji Lake, situado a orillas del lago Kawaguchiko, ofrece una vista espectacular del monte Fuji por un lado y unas hermosas vistas al lago por el otro. Por la mañana, el lago se cubre de una ligera niebla y la silueta de la montaña aparece y desaparece; por la tarde, los colores del atardecer bañan el lago, creando una atmósfera de una serenidad que quita el aliento. El patio, con sus arces y pinos, parece un cuadro. Pero lo que realmente impresiona es el personal. Desde el botones que saluda amablemente y sube el equipaje a la habitación, hasta la recepción que explica detalladamente las normas del hotel (un agradecimiento especial al Sr. Oishi por su entusiasta presentación de las instalaciones del hotel). Cuando regresábamos al hotel en días de lluvia, nos ofrecían toallas, y en el vestíbulo siempre había té caliente. El personal del restaurante es muy profesional. Nos alojamos 4 noches y cada vez que volvíamos, la habitación estaba impecable (¡gracias por vuestro esfuerzo!). Al hacer el check-out, el personal nos acompañó hasta la puerta despidiéndose con un gesto. Cada detalle está cuidado con esmero, lo que hace que uno se sienta bienvenido. El Hotel Fuji Lake no solo se graba en la memoria por el reflejo del monte Fuji, sino también por el encuentro más amable de todo el viaje.

Fue un hotel relajante, las habitaciones estaban bastante limpias y había una variedad de aguas termales disponibles. Quedé muy satisfecho.

The room is nice. But It used to be more impressive when we stayed at this ryokan 5-6 years ago. Somehow we felt like their service dropped significantly. Everything are more strict  for example daily cleaning time is 11.00 -11.30 only and cannot be postpone. Check out time is 11.00  and then we decide to chill a bit at the lobby before leaving ( around 11.20 ) they politely asked us to leave by telling us that they will clean the lobby.  Which I think is there right to do so but it really feels uptight - not relax at all - and not as impressive like the other ryokans we stayed.

En esta ocasión me alojé en el Hibiscus Resort Hotel Kawaguchiko Intermi Branch, y la experiencia en general fue muy buena. La higiene del hotel era excelente; las habitaciones y las zonas comunes estaban limpias y ordenadas, lo que me brindó mucha tranquilidad. El servicio fue muy atento y el personal amable, lo que hizo que mi estancia fuera aún más cómoda. Las instalaciones son bastante completas, cubren todas las necesidades básicas y es un lugar muy práctico. Si bien la ubicación no es la más céntrica, es ideal para quienes viajan en coche o buscan un ambiente tranquilo. En resumen, fue un hotel seguro y de buena calidad.
