I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the InterContinental Qiandao Lake. The room was absolutely stunning, and the lake view was breathtaking. One of the most special features of the room was the bathroom design — the bathtub was positioned so that you could relax while enjoying the beautiful lake scenery, which made for a truly memorable experience. The staff were polite, friendly, and always willing to help. I also loved the hotel's interior design, which features a lot of natural wood, creating a warm and elegant atmosphere throughout the property. The breakfast offered a good selection of both Western and Chinese dishes. There is also a nice local Chinese restaurant nearby where you can try the region's famous fish, which I highly recommend. The only downside was transportation. Unfortunately, I missed my train because we were unable to get a taxi for about 40 minutes. Even though I tried to arrange transportation in advance, it was still not enough. The hotel does not provide a taxi service, so I would strongly recommend allowing plenty of extra time if you need to catch a train or have a fixed schedule. Apart from that, everything was wonderful, and I had an amazing stay. I would happily return in the future ☺️

Mi habitación olía a cigarrillo, lo cual es relativamente normal en China, ¡PERO! Pedí una habitación para no fumadores, pero hay un cenicero. Cuando quise lavar mi ropa, me dijeron que la harían y la enviarían a mi habitación. Más de 12 horas después, seguían sin enviarme la ropa. Tarda una hora en un ciclo normal y casi dos horas en secarse a baja temperatura. ¿Por qué tardó el triple? Y el baño estaba sucio, con esas motas marrones.

Our party of 3 adults spent 3 nights at the Fuchun Mountain Golf Resort in early 12/2024.  We came to Fuchun to see the scenaries that had inspired the famous 富春山居圖 painting.  We booked 2 basic rooms (Linyin Garden View), but received free upgrades (Guizhou Lake View) at check in.  I must admit our initial feelings as we arrived was one of creeping doubt, because the Fuyang city streets we had driven through (we drove in from the Hangzhou Xihu area) were very industrial, just giant factories one after another and the immediate area outside the property was just a bunch of small suburban farm homes and shops.  Furthermore, as our car pulled up to the front lobby entrance, no one greeted us.  Not a soul was in sight.  Our driver had to poke his head inside and announce guests are here and service is needed.  From there on, however, things only got better and better.  So, yes, this was a quiet property.  There wasn’t a lot of staff standing about.  But, there was enough personnel to provide all the basic services expected.  And I found they were very friendly, quick to respond, and efficient.  During our 3.5 days here, we explored and enjoyed this beautiful hotel inside and out.  The hotel itself (the main building) was simply grand.  Its design and decor was a perfect balance of East Meets West, modernized traditional, understated elegance.  The layout was a bit of a labyrinth.  There were wings, corridors, and stairs you can go down to find restaurants, spa/gym/pool, conference rooms, sitting nooks, a small boat dock, and even an impressive collection of embroidery art on display.  Our rooms were large and airy, spotless, the ceiling was high, and the windows opened onto the lake.  The bathroom was spacious with a double sink and lots of counter space.  Beds and pillows were very comfortable, definitely in line with 5 star international standards.  Outside, there was a man-made lake with 2 groups of swans (or were they white geese?).  They crisscrossed the lake during the day and slept below our windows at night.  There was also a little children’s playground (with a pair of ducks) and what looked like a small amphitheater.  Several short paths allowed us to walk the sizable grounds.  Early one morning, we followed one across a little brook to the edge of the tea terrace.  Another morning, we strolled down a road flanked by bamboo that led to the beautiful villas that stood apart from the main hotel.  Everywhere, the atmosphere was tranquil and the views spectacular.  We ate most of our meals at the hotel since we were unfamiliar with the area and didn’t really want to go out looking (this was the end of a 2 week trip).  We tried both of the restaurants on-site (the Chinese and the Western/Fusion) and thought they were fine overall, since food/ingredients were fresh and of good quality.  Taste and craft were okay, not great but acceptable.  In truth, we were probably not too demanding at this point, as we had already gorged out during our previous stay in the HZ/Xihu area.  In summary, our family really liked the Fuchun Mountain Golf Resort.  We were very comfortable during our short stay.  We really appreciated the quiet calmness of the place as well as the warm service provided by the entire staff.  We would love to return.  It was an easy car ride from the HZ city area, and it was easy to hire cars to nearby and more distant attractions.  Lastly, for those interested in the 富春山居圖, there is a replica of the painting (both parts and to scale) displayed downstairs in the spa :)

We had a wonderful stay at Banyan Tree and were pleasantly surprised with an upgrade to a two-bedroom villa. The villa was beautifully decorated and thoughtfully designed, offering both comfort and a memorable experience. The breakfast was excellent, and we particularly appreciated the effort made to accommodate our strict vegetarian dietary requirements. The buggy services were consistently prompt and efficient. The resort’s location amidst the wetlands provides a unique and tranquil natural setting, though some guests may find it slightly secluded. Communication through WeChat was smooth and responsive. We would also like to especially commend Samiksha, the intern, and the dining team member who spoke both English and Chinese fluently. Their attentiveness and willingness to help significantly enhanced our experience. As areas for improvement, the swimming pool water could have been warmer, and the addition of facilities such as a sauna or jacuzzi would further elevate the guest experience. Overall, we had a very enjoyable and well-managed stay and truly appreciated the warm hospitality of the team.

To have the misty, poetic beauty of Wuzhen almost to oneself is an unforgettable luxury, and it’s an advantage that truly sets this property apart. Yet, what truly elevated our stay from exceptional to unforgettable was the service, personified by Jiajia. Her warm, attentive, and genuinely caring hospitality catered to our every need with a graceful efficiency and a radiant smile. She anticipated requests, offered wonderful local insights, and handled every detail with such personal care that we felt not just as guests, but as cherished friends. She is the heart and soul of the Clubhouse experience. The Silk Commerce Clubhouse is more than a place to sleep; it’s the perfect, tranquil base from which to fall in love with Wuzhen. It offers a rare blend of cultured history, modern comfort, culinary delight, and, most importantly, a standard of service that makes you feel profoundly welcome. La habitación está limpia y ordenada, y conserva su encanto antiguo. El desayuno no es tan deslumbrante, pero es pequeño y exquisito, se puede pedir a la carta y es muy cómodo para comer. Almorzamos en el hotel, que sabía muy bien y exquisito. Para la cena, estábamos justo enfrente de su hotel. Había muchos viajeros individuales haciendo cola y esperando durante mucho tiempo, pero el hotel puede ayudar con las reservas. We had a really nice time at naked Stables. The property is incredibly green, the huts are very nice, and the general service is solid. It's a lovely environment to just relax in nature. However, the absolute highlight of our trip was Joan. Navigating travel logistics when you don't speak a word of Chinese can sometimes be tricky, but Joan went completely above and beyond to help us with absolutely everything. She was incredibly proactive, patient, and truly cared about making sure our experience was amazing from start to finish. The hotel itself is nice, but Joan is the one who made our stay unforgettable. We cannot thank her enough for her exceptional hospitality. If you stay here, you'll be incredibly lucky to have her looking after you!

An unforgettable luxury wellness retreat. I discovered Xixi Xin Hotel while searching for a peaceful escape, and it exceeded every expectation. The architecture is breathtaking, blending traditional Chinese culture with modern luxury in a way that feels elegant, authentic and incredibly calming. The attention to detail throughout the property is exceptional. The suites are beautifully designed with natural, eco-friendly materials that create an instantly grounding atmosphere. Upon entering, you’re welcomed by a Marshall speaker with a curated selection of nature sounds—waves, birds, rustling leaves and crackling fire—setting the tone for complete relaxation. The bathroom is equally impressive, with beautiful curtains opening to a soaking spa prepared daily with fresh rose petals and natural bath salts. Thoughtful touches such as soft linen loungewear and complimentary disposable swimwear made the experience feel effortlessly luxurious. Service is truly five-star. Each suite is assigned a personal butler who is attentive, responsive and genuinely committed to making your stay effortless. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble, and the hospitality was warm, personal and sincere. I was initially hesitant about the vegetarian restaurant, but it was one of the highlights of my stay. The dishes were nutritious, beautifully presented and worthy of fine dining, while still being surprisingly filling. For those who prefer meat, there are also excellent restaurants nearby. The wellness program is outstanding, with daily yoga, Tai Chi, sound baths, traditional Chinese medicine consultations and other healing experiences. Classes run for around an hour and are led by knowledgeable instructors who genuinely care about your wellbeing, creating a deeply relaxing and restorative experience. With only around 8–10 suites, the hotel remains wonderfully quiet and intimate, allowing guests to completely disconnect from the outside world. After just three nights, I left feeling genuinely relaxed, grounded and restored. A rare hidden gem that combines exceptional architecture, thoughtful design, impeccable service and meaningful wellness experiences. If you’re looking for a peaceful five-star retreat focused on luxury, wellness and tranquillity, I couldn’t recommend Xixi Xin Hotel more highly. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Es un hotel para todo tipo de personas: parejas, empresarios, familias, etc. El hotel es increíble. El personal fue muy amable, pero para un hotel de 5 diamantes, nadie habla inglés. Sin embargo, todo estaba limpio. Las primaveras calientes abre de 14:00 a 22:00. Desayuno de 6:00 a 10:00. La cena se cierra a las 20:00, algo temprano para los extranjeros. Pero es un buffet grande, así que siempre habrá algo delicioso para comer.

Realmente es un hotel 5 estrellas, desde la recepción al entrar al área escenica , ahi te registras, tu equipaje lo dejas ahí y te lo llevan a tu hotel, posteriormente te entregan tu entrada y un pase del bus para que puedan llevarte cómodamente a donde estas hospedo. Al llegar al hotel te esperan con mucha alegría y te llevan a la recepción del hotel donde te ofrecen los planes de alimentación y desayuno. Hay una persona que siempre esta a cargo de que estes bien y a través de wechat puedes hacerle cualquier consulta. La habitacion es muy comoda, con todas lo necesario , limpia, cama cómoda, te reciben con un plato de frutas y en pequeño frigobar puedes tomar refresco o cerveza gratis. Todo de gran calidad El desayuno es realmente bueno y es mucha comida, no pude terminarlo, pero todo es de gran sabor y calidad Hasta el ultimo momento estuvieron atentos a todas nuestras necesidades y nos llevaron de regreso a la entrada para tomar el bus. Quiero reconocer en especial a 小华 por supuesto esmero y atención en todos los detalles, sin duda hacen la diferencia Hospedarse en este Hotel es realmente un tiempo muy agradable, volveré.
