A modern kitchen and home theatre/living room with a 55" TV make it a great place to stay home and relax. Instead of a generator powered by fossil fuel Villa Matija has an alternative energy system that can run the house for modest amounts of time with little attention and quite some time with careful energy management. And don’t worry, our solar hot water is backed up by a traditional hot water heater that provides an abundant supply of hot water whatever time of day you need to shower. While both bedrooms have air conditioning, we encourage our guests to leave the windows open at night with the fan on and the AC off to experience the local climate.
