Overall, my stay at Crowne Plaza was okay. The location is very convenient, which made getting around easy. However, I was a little disappointed that the room wasn’t serviced during my stay, even though I had placed the door sign requesting it. Apart from that, everything else was fine.

Check in staff wasn’t very helpful. Didn’t give us a parking pass initially. He asked for photo ID which he was given then he insisted on only a passport. The room was clean but no view and had a water sound coming from the kitchen area.
I have stayed in this location several times and this is definitely the most unhelpful staff I’ve come across. The property itself was clean and well located for my needs.

La habitación es muy agradable, con una ubicación céntrica y una hermosa habitación, con grandes instalaciones. Los snacks y paquetes de bebidas complimentarios que se ofrecen en la habitación al check-in fueron un gran toque, y incluso nos llenamos los chips (que fueron un gran golpe con mis amigos) en nuestro segundo día.
Gracias por ofrecer una gran y agradable experiencia y voy a considerar quedarme aquí si vuelvo a visitar la costa del oro.

Great location. 10min walk to the beach. Lots of eateries around the hotel. Supermarket abit further down. Tram is just right below the hotel. We booked ocean view room, the view is fantastic!

We travelled with two children, after we entered the unit, there was an oily smell. And the carpet was dirty. I used a tissue to wipe it and it had black stains. So I put the carpet aside then cleaned the floor, the wet towel was all black.
Every chair has debris on it and I just told my children not to lay on the floor and not to sit on the chairs.
Moreover, there were stains on cutleries and on the oven. The cleanliness was HORRIBLE.
When we were taking a shower, all the water just went out to all the floor in the bathroom.

Great spot for anyone going to the Goldy to watch the real football at Robina Stadium.
Train line right at your doorstep as well as Robina Town Centre which caters for all your needs no matter what your situation or budget.
Nice clean,spacious,secure room with friendly staff at the front desk.

We had an amazing stay at Meriton Surfers Paradise! The ocean view room was absolutely stunning — waking up to the sound and sight of the waves was unforgettable. The apartment was modern, spacious, and came with excellent amenities, including a washer and dryer which made our stay so convenient.
The facilities were top-notch, and everything felt clean and well-maintained. The only thing to note is that the car park entrance is quite steep and a little intimidating at first, but once you get used to it, it’s manageable. Overall, it didn’t take away from the wonderful experience. Highly recommend staying here for anyone visiting the Gold Coast!

PPippa-louisePlace is amazing clean , fresh and of high standard .
But when it comes to booking and service this is another story .. for the money I paid to stay 2 night I thought this would be the perfect place to rest I’m 5 star style .. place yes , service a disaster. Firstly when I arrived at Swiss bel .. I went to reception to book in as I booked online a queen bed room he asked if I had a vehicle I said yes agreed to the $35 a night and he said he would just take it out of the bond I paid at end if that was ok I said yes perfect .. when I got up to my room it was 2 single I called reception and advised I had booked a queen bed and there is 2 singles he said oh the house keeper hadn’t changed the beds or didn’t look at booking , I asked if someone could just come up and fix .. he said there is noone to do this now come down and j will find another room for you . I went down stairs said I would go get something to eat and when I come back hopefully a room will be sorted. I came back he advised me that he had upgraded me and I asked if I could have the new key and I will switch rooms and come back down with the other key to save me bringing my luggage down and then back up again. I got to room and key didn’t work to go to 6th floor . So I brought my luggage down and told reception that key didn’t work . He said sometimes this happens with those keys /actually quite often said he would come up with me and check . Yes card did not work so he used his staff card to let me in said he would fix and come back . He came back 10mins later to test and it had been foxed . Not sure what the upgrade as as room was smaller than the first , had no shower gel (was empty container when I went into have a shower) thought it may have been replenished on next day with room
Clean still empty on second day and cleaner took face washers and never replaced them so I washed with shampoo and a hand towel .. when I came back on second day went to put card into open the car park and it didn’t work .. I went to reception to let them know I was trying to get into car park and the card doesn’t work, she (Asian lady) advised me that I hadn’t paid for parking .. I had to explain everything from the night before then asked me they will take it out of my bind I said yes that’s what I agreed with the night before . No apology just more interested in getting payment for parking. She added parking to

I later received a phone call from a lady called Theresa asking how my stay was and I explain that it has been the most disappointing experience I have had ever ! Explained the above she said she would come and replace the shower gel and face washers I said it’s ok I have already had my shower used a hand towel and shampoo because I’m already in bed .. she said that I hope that my stay apologetic on my experience already , I hope it is better from now and if I need anything to contact her and ask for Theresa I said thank you I appreciated the call … then then 10
Minutes later she comes knocking on my door I have to get dress to answer the door she knocks again I said I’m coming
She is at the door with the shower gel and face washers getting me out of bed . I understand why she brought it but I told her I was in bed and I had already showered . So then I go to hand my key in to check out to be told I have outstanding parking I need to pay .. I advised Theresa that it is coming out of the bond payed and this has been told now to 3 people .. as I said place is absolutely fantastic.. apart from missing shower gel and tissues

Bar fridge and microwave, toiletries in the bathroom.

I was excited to see a very large, modern wide screen TV with onboard Android system.
Disappointed that no internet connection (so I could have used my own passwords for my streaming services.
Even more disappointed that there was no aerial connected, but I had brought my own tech and internet. I just switched off the TV.
Imagine my extreme displeasure to board the 3rd floor lift at 05:00 to have the doors closed - but no button worked!
I WAS TRAPPED IN THE LIFT!!!
I pressed the yellow emergency button for 5 seconds - no answer - pressed multiple times.
I phoned the hotel main number, so they could press the lift call button - no answer.
I phoned the 24/7 emergency 1300 number. The operator said she would send someone out - who would phone me with an ETA.
Getting anxious, being 60 years old with a heart condition, I dialled 000 to call the POLICE!
The dispatcher commended me on remaining so calm.
I assured her, being very hot in cramped spaces with very little air was definitely not conducive to my remaining calm.
They said to call 000 back if I got out before the fire brigade arrived.
Five minutes later I heard voices outside. Someone heard my banging on the lift doors and cries for help.
I GOT OUT
That night the guy on reception said sorry.
I explained that, although the room was marvelous - and that I did eventually get out, a man of my age and I'll health could have died - why wasn't anyone on duty to answer the damn lift emergency phone?
He said he was sorry.

CChih minWe stayed in the hotel for three days（7/7-7/10）. On the first day, no one came to clean the room. We thought we needed to notify the service counter to arrange cleaning. On the second day, we used the ”cleaning notification” button on the phone in the morning, but no one came to clean the next day. On the third day, we reported it to the service counter in the morning, and they said they would arrange for a cleaning staff. As a result, when we returned to the room on the third night, we found that it was still not cleaned (this was the first time we were deceived). So we called the service counter again, hoping that at least they could change the bath towels for us to use. The service counter staff replied that they would ask someone to bring us clean bath towels, but they did not keep their promise in the end. We were deceived again.

La habitación es muy amplia, la cama muy cómoda, la piscina del hotel, aunque no es enorme, es suficiente, dispone de zona para comer exterior.
El desayuno que ofrece el alojamiento por 10$ es abundante y bueno. Nosotros lo cogimos una de las mañanas con el extra de bacon y huevos y solo con el extra ya nos hubiera sido suficiente gracias a sus generosas porciones. Para los precios de Australia es muy recomendable desayunar aquí

PPHILLIP JAMESThe Mantra Hotel has outstanding location. It is directly in front of the Woolworths supermarket - the best option in central Cairns. It's also virtually opposite (the esplanade side)the lagoon public beachfront swimming pool. Finally it's just a 5 minute walk from Cairns Cruise Terminal, with outstanding day trips to Green Island, Fitzroy Island and the Reef. I booked a sea view room. When you enter the room, you don't see the ocean, but a building across the road. However, the view from the balcony was amazing. The balcony overlooks the main features of lagoon on the sea front. During the day it is great view - the lagoon pools and sea in the background. At night you cannot see the sea (as to be expected) but you have the amazing lagoon lights, which makes it very desirable and even romantic. Our room was at the end of block, which overlooks a shopping mall (no car noise) - looking right from the balcony is the lagoon view and looking left is a mountain view. However, from 2:00pm to 6:00pm the sun comes directly into the balcony area, which means it unusable until sun sets. Of course if you don't mind baking in the sun on the balcony, this is not really a concern. The room itself is pretty basic. The mini fridge of OK and TV has domestic channels only - no cable TV for BBC/CNN. The bathroom is of a good size. There is combined shower & bath. However, when using the shower, it can slightly flood this bathroom. A shower curtain may be desirable because the glass panel is not sufficient enough. At $225 per night this hotel was not cheap and you can better deals by coming in the off-season OR going bit further down the esplanade, and choosing another hotel. The Mantra does have its own pool and it is wonderfully heated, with normal deck chairs you would expect at 4 star hotel. However, the pool gets very little natural sunlight, because it of its location between 2 buildings. Overall, the hotel has amazing location, and it is still recommended, despite the shortcomings mentioned. My final note: When we checked in, I was impressed with the level of service provided by the receptionist. She had a very welcome attitude and a wonderful personality.

TTraveller354Después de leer los comentarios muy mezclados, nos fuimos y lo reservamos.
La ubicación era hermosa, las vistas atractivas, los animales adorables, pero cuando se trataba de pasar tiempo allí, no había mucho que hacer.
Nos encontramos en un ferry más tarde, así que sabíamos que no tendríamos mucho tiempo para disfrutar del sol después de la llegada, pero debido a una mezcla, nuestras maletas se perdieron durante una hora, lo que nos hace perder cualquier oportunidad de entrar en la piscina mientras estaba caliente.
Después, fuimos a cenar. Hay sólo 2 restaurantes disponibles, y sin hacer una reserva antes de la mano, es un poco difícil ir cuando quieras. La comida estaba bien, pero costosa como se esperaría de un lugar como este. Una vez terminado la cena, el entretenimiento por la noche (Alice en Wonderland screening) ya estaba en marcha y nos encontramos con nada que hacer a las 9:00.

El día siguiente planeamos un día de snorkelling, alimentación de rayo y cayaking.
Apreciamos la herramienta de snorkel libre, así como las instrucciones y recomendaciones de seguridad claras del guardaespaldas. La experiencia de alimentación de Ray era sorprendente y era evidente que el personal sabía de qué estaban hablando y estaban passionados por los animales.
Sin embargo, el cayaque y otros deportes acuáticos fueron cancelados debido a los vientos altos, dejandonos, una vez más, sin nada que hacer. La cena temprana (muy divertido momento con los vallebis tratando de robar nuestra comida y ser super cobarde), un paseo por la playa, una película en la habitación y una hora de la cama temprana.
Así que en todo, hermosa ubicación con grandes experiencias del tiempo permiten, asegúrese de traer algún entretenimiento si el agua es demasiado fría para nadar en la piscina o el tiempo se vuelve amargo.
También: si quieres comida a la tarde, asegúrese de traer algunas comidas ya que hay una selección limitada disponible.

TTheobaldEste es un lugar fabuloso para quedarse. Elegimos una habitación tipo estudio, con vista al mar, y realmente valió la pena. Aunque llegamos tarde, contactamos al personal de llamadas en la puerta y nos hablaron sobre el proceso de registro. El servicio fue amable y atento en todo momento. El único pequeño inconveniente es que las habitaciones solo se limpian una vez cada 8 días. Sin embargo, cuando solicitamos toallas limpias, estuvieron felices de proporcionárselas. El complejo de la piscina es encantador, la piscina está un poco fría para el invierno, pero el spa era cómodo y disfrutamos mucho de la sauna. El desayuno estaba incluido y teníamos la opción de elegir entre tres cafés en el complejo, con comida deliciosa en los tres.
¡No podemos esperar a volver!
