Buen hotel, pero lamentablemente no hay agua caliente, solo agua tibia en el mejor de los casos. Al llegar, me dijeron que la piscina no estaba disponible debido al mantenimiento, que es muy deficiente y no me lo informaron al reservar.
Además, estaban haciendo obras encima de mi habitación, lo que generó mucho ruido desde las 7 de la mañana, lo cual fue muy molesto.
El personal es increíble, muy amable y servicial, y la comida y el servicio fueron excelentes.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Great stay with excellent breakfast and convenient location
We stayed at Amber Hotel Cebu for two weeks and had a very enjoyable experience overall. Breakfast was included every morning, and the food was excellent with good variety and quality a great way to start each day.
The location was also very good, making it easy to get around Cebu for shopping, dining, and sightseeing. The hotel was comfortable and well-maintained, and we felt at ease throughout our stay.
Overall, a solid choice in Cebu and great value for money. We would happily stay here again.

The hotel is overall nice, with friendly and helpful staff. Although the floor in my room was a bit dusty, the location is very convenient—just a few minutes’ walk to the mall, and the bus terminal is directly opposite the hotel. The buffet breakfast has limited options, but the food is quite good.

Great service by Eunard. We arrived late to the hotel at 11pm because our domestic flight from manila got delayed. He arranged for us breakfast at 3:45am to be sent to our hotel room as we were planning to go to oslob for the whale shark watching at 5am. Aside from that, there was great first aid medical assistance when needed. There was free shuttle service to airport, two swimming pools and gym & spa facilities. Housekeeping service was prompt and friendly too. Highly recomended. It is also pretty near to SM city seaside, a huge mall with almost everything you could ever want, although there is also a mall connected to the hotel too with a convenience store for light snacks at night.

Staffs are accomodating,they let us check in earlier,the room was big with a very nice view , near to all food establishment,breakfast buffet was good , near to mactan beach ,there's a free transpo going to the beach or you can walk since it's very near,which we did .i will definitely recommend this hotel and i will comeback for sure.

Perfecto para quienes viajan solos. Hay calefacción y el aire acondicionado es muy frío. Hay televisión, pero tampoco la usé. Intenté cambiar de canal, pero incluso el canal que estaba viendo desapareció, jaja. Si quieres ver el amanecer, la habitación 506 es perfecta porque está al final ☺️ y es simplemente barata. Perfecta para quienes buscan ahorrar.

Very clean! For this price didn’t expect it. Booked before the flight for a rest. It was nice, but there is no shampoo, no soap and no toilet paper. Also didn’t know how to turn on hot water, so showered without it, but wasn’t a problem since it wasn’t super cold.

¡Tuvimos una estancia excelente con toda la familia! El alojamiento estaba muy limpio, espacioso y cómodo, perfecto para relajarse después de un día de actividades. El personal fue increíblemente cálido y atento, siempre dispuesto a ayudar con una sonrisa. Las instalaciones eran ideales para familias y nos sentimos como en casa.
Muy recomendable para familias que buscan una estancia cómoda e inolvidable. ¡Sin duda volveremos!

I enjoy my stay with Maayo Hotel. The amenities is great, thr location is good too. I can see the Mactan Bridge as well as the sea. They have a pool and I enjoyed my time swimming in there. 10/10 for Maayo!

A 10 minutos en auto desde el aeropuerto, conveniente si llega tarde o sale temprano, la recepción está en el 3er piso, el personal es muy amable, lo ayuda con cualquier pregunta que pueda tener, la habitación estaba en la planta baja, en En la planta baja hay varios baños combinados con duchas, habitación con 4 camas (2 literas), se proporciona toalla, lo único que debes tener en cuenta es que debes tener tu propio papel higiénico y jabón, ya que no están disponibles en los baños

What didn't you like:
A small selection of paid breakfast. There is no buffet and you need to choose from the menu. But you can only choose 1 dish and drink for each one. In other words, don't expect to try even a couple of dishes for prepaid money. Here you can choose only 1 dish for breakfast. The rest is paid. It became clear only on the 3rd day of the stay, as they could not understand how the breakfast system worked.
We were charged 390 Philippine pesos for SPAM (or rather, three slices of local ham). It's expensive for this kind and quantity of food.
•On the last day, the cost of paying for a fruit plate increased. It was 350 pesos, it became 400.
•When ordering tom yam, we asked for additional shrimp (+250 pesos). We were served soup with 7 shrimp halves. We still haven't figured out how many shrimps there would have been without the extra ones we paid for. 🙈We thought they forgot to add additional ones. Then we saw the bill and additional shrimps were deposited.
•Few seafood dishes. Considering that you are 50 meters from the sea. There are also few products with vegetables. We suffered because of this. There was no light food.
•The leaves in each salad were stale.
•Service fees were from everything. We understand when the service fee is for food, but we still don't understand why the fee was for a massage. That is, the fee for the massage + the service FEE for the massage.
•There were also fees for filming shark swimming on our phone. We also did not understand why the fee, if the tour itself cost 7,500 pesos + 300 pesos was a service fee (again, we do not understand why it is not included in the total cost of the tour) + 260 pesos for shooting on the phone;
I was disappointed that when booking an excursion to swim with sharks for 7,500 pesos, fishing was included, but no one offered it to us. They just took us, we swam and brought it back. They say the tour took 5 hours, but it was two and a half hours.
•Hand soap has not been refilled in two days;
• The automatic circulation of water in the pool was rarely turned on, so we swam with flies for two days... trying to catch them from there;
•The performers were an hour late for the first tour, and 30 minutes late for the second. We don't understand why our time wasn't respected.
• One shower wasn't working. There was no water coming out of it;
• Often they didn't bring half of the dish. That is, if you ordered a meat plate with grapes, cheese and crackers, be prepared that I may not bring you crackers, but there will be 3 pieces of cheese. That's for 590 pesos. We ordered this plate twice, and two times we didn't get any crackers. The second time we asked and they informed us. Also, when ordering mashed potatoes with chicken, they brought us chicken without mashed potatoes. We asked and were informed. Everything was already cold. They didn't add a banana to the banana pancakes.
Unfortunately, curtains are not blackout, for those who cannot sleep without them, bring a sleep mask.
I write absolutely all the little things, as I am very careful about the service. I really liked this hotel. In any case, I recommend it wholeheartedly. After all, they communicate politely with you here, there are gorgeous views from a spacious room, and there is a large swimming pool. But I have to write down the little things so that the management can improve the quality of service so that staying at this hotel leaves only positive emotions for absolutely everyone! After all, the hotel is really beautiful!

LLeif ReyYou get what you pay for with this hotel. Although some of the appliances are old they still get the job done. The smart tv was a great addition to the room as it allowed us to watch and stream movies and tv shows. The only disappointing part was the internet connection as it wasn't stable and it wasn't fast enough to use reliably if you wanted to work.

EeaeaoI recently stayed for two nights at Sheraton Cebu Mactan Resort and had a genuinely enjoyable experience overall. Since the property is relatively new, the facilities felt exceptionally clean, modern, and well maintained. The room was spacious and comfortable, with tasteful interior design, quality bedding, and a relaxing balcony view that made it easy to unwind after a day out. Housekeeping was consistent and attentive, keeping everything spotless throughout my stay.
One of the highlights was definitely the staff. Everyone I interacted with was warm, professional, and eager to help, from check-in to dining and activity assistance. Their friendliness created a welcoming atmosphere that made the stay feel more personal rather than just transactional.
The private beach is another major advantage. Having direct access to a quiet beachfront made it convenient to enjoy the ocean anytime, and snorkeling there was particularly satisfying. The water was clear, marine life was visible, and the overall environment felt safe and relaxing. The pool area, restaurants, and common spaces also added to the resort-style experience.
Overall, I would highly recommend this resort for anyone visiting Cebu who wants comfort, cleanliness, good service, and easy beach access in one place.

Excelente hotel por su precio. Pequeña cantidad por número. La habitación tiene todo lo necesario, todo está limpio, la ropa de cama y las toallas están limpias, huelen delicioso. Nos alimentaron con deliciosos desayunos. Hay una piscina y tumbonas en el lugar. Zona bien cuidada. Nos lo pasamos genial. Lo recomiendo 👍😉

BBubbleChimpGood for experienced divers but not for new divers, solo travellers, relaxing beach time or a deluxe experience even though it was £200+ a night so I did not think it was good value.
For me it was just the wrong choice and I didn't do enough research. The main disappointment comes down to me basing my expectations on the price instead of the 3 star rating. I haven't paid that much for a hotel before and usually go for 4 or 5 star places so I just don't understand the pricing, maybe that's just how it is in the Philippines. The staff and service are good, breakfast and the room are ok, spa and diving are the good amenities so it might be the diving location which warrants the price.
Lunch and dinner are good. I recommend the honey yoghurt muesli with mango and the chicken salad (with a dressing) for breakfast. Everything I had on the lunch/dinner menu was great - the tom kha gai soup, Dorado, burger, curry etc all good. Small range of beers and cocktails available but cocktails were good too.
The room and bathroom are fine for 3 star standards. There is termite stuff falling from the wood beams and dead moths or similar insects on shelves which did not get cleaned away.
The Swedish massage was good, I recommend Gail. The shiatsu was painful and pinched my skin so she switched to Swedish. The pool is murky and not enticing to swim in, lots of mozzies around it too.
I much preferred the beach and water conditions further down at Dauin. I like to relax on a nice beach and swim etc. that's where the great snorkeling is too. But the water at Atlantis is too rough and windy and the beach too narrow.
Although the dive masters are great for leading dives and probably for the other diving skills, I wouldn't recommend getting your open water certificate here especially if you're at all nervous about it. There were some differences with the SSI videos like being able to practise boat entry in the pool first and using a snorkel that I would have preferred what with the condition of the water there. The beach, water and entry conditions are so much better 20-30min down the beach at Dauin, Bongo Bongo beach. I managed to earn my open water and it was the reason for this trip but it wasn't a pleasant experience and I watched the divers enter at Dauin quite jealously.
Considering you can do 4-5 dives a day here plus a day for Apo island, I think 3-4 days here would be perfect.
The hotel tour prices were a bit more expensive than others I found and they do not arrange joiner tours so as a solo traveller, their tours were prohibitively expensive. For some reason there were no joiner tours available outside the hotel either, I don't know if that's because of the season (jan-feb) or that's usual for the Philippines but it's the first time I've experienced that in my travels.
The tour to Apo Island is good and well arranged. The only thing is as a snorkeler you have to wait until after lunch to get to the shallow turtle area but it was great and a benefit of going with the hotel is you leave on their boat right from the hotel, no need to drive to the ferry.

Tuvimos una estancia muy agradable en Henann Alona Beach. El hotel es grande y estuvo muy ocupado durante el check-in, sin embargo, tienen tantas piscinas que no se nota la cantidad de gente. Nos lo pasamos muy bien en el bar de la piscina durante la hora feliz y pasamos todo el tiempo en el resort. A los restaurantes les vendrían bien opciones un poco más saludables y el desayuno con opciones más vegetarianas (ni siquiera había una barra de yogur o granola natural, y había más opciones poco saludables). Si sales del complejo, ¡entras directamente en una calle llena de bares y restaurantes! El gimnasio estaba muy bien equipado y las habitaciones eran buenas. Por favor mejoren las cortinas, ya que no oscurecían la habitación.
