Hoteles con parking en Costa occidental, Nueva Zelanda

We were greeted with warm hospitality by the owner Angela when we arrived to check into Franz Josef Oasis. The executive king suite room was clean, cosy and spacious. We enjoyed sitting on the sofas with warm blankets place for our comfort near the fireplace. The location of this place is also good as it 5 minutes drive to the town where we had a delicious dinner at Blue Ice Restaurant and Bar which was recommended to us by Angela. The service is excellent and I will definitely recommend this place to those who are travelling to Franz Josef !

Puede que la temporada sea muy poca, el baño es nuevo y la mayor ventaja, el cuarto no es grande y no hay instalaciones de cocina, el aire acondicionado está muy ocupado con un pequeño refrigerador en el tayenne, y casi no hay lugar para limpiar ropa de ropa.

Glad to be able to pay a small amount and be upgraded to a room with facilities that we need. Love the heated bed. Spacious room. Loved their house dog who came to bid us farewell just before we leave.  If you go to the Heartland Hotel to dine, you get 10% discount by showing your room keys.

The hotel is great within walking distance to the train station for Tranzalpine, restaurant in the hotel offer awesome food and drink, the room is slightly basic with no air conditioning, however it has a fan and a heater

Reservamos dos habitaciones con cama king y baño privado, pero al llegar nos asignaron una habitación con cama king sin baño privado. En recepción nos informaron que el sistema no mostraba nuestra reserva con baño privado. Tras mucha deliberación, nos reasignaron una habitación con cama king y baño privado. La cama era dura e incómoda. El salón común estaba abarrotado.

Short drive to Lake Matheson and Fox Glacier view. Big and nice with shelter for car park right in front of the motel. Salt/pepper/rice cooker/bread toaster/milk/ basic utensils for cooking are provided. All is good except that towels aren’t changed daily.

We arrived around 9pm ish and the property was quite dark. The reception desk had a note stick on the door indicating our room assignment. We had booked 2 rooms, but unfortunately, both had bugs (moths) in them. Since we arrived late, there were no open stores or restaurants nearby, not even a convenience store. We found a nearby bar online that was advertised as being open until 1am, but when we called, they informed us they were closing early due to a quiet night. However, they were kind and prepared some chips, samosas and spring rolls for us, which we appreciated as it was our only option for dinner. For future guests arriving late, I highly recommend advising them to purchase food in advance.

Rimu Lodge was an absolute delight. From the moment we arrived, the owner, Sue Allen, made us feel incredibly welcome. Our room was beautifully decorated and offered a breathtaking view, creating a serene and relaxing atmosphere. Every detail was thoughtfully curated—from the fresh milk for our tea and coffee to the complimentary drinks and chocolates, all adding to the sense of warmth and hospitality. Breakfast was exceptional, with a delicious selection of cooked options to choose from. The entire experience was nothing short of wonderful. I highly recommend staying for at least two nights to fully appreciate the charm and comfort of this remarkable lodge.

Super place to stay set amongst beautiful NZ native trees ,incredibly clean/immaculate facilities and cabins, and an easy 10-15 min walk to town. Close to the stunning North beach of Westport too. Very warm, friendly and helpful host who gave us some great pointers to places for tea in Westport. An exceptionally clean with incredibly well maintained grounds holiday park, we enjoyed our stay thank you. Our A frame cabin was great. We were a bit slack as forgot our own bowls/cutlery which were very helpfully loaned to us by our hosts. So remember to take your own crockery and cutlery, cooking bits and bobs. Super comfie, super tidy and super clean!

It is alright, but not great - certainly it is worn around the edges. It is the first place I stayed in during my 3 week holiday with no fridge... So much for the by now warm riggers of beer I bought at breweries en route. The service was never with any kind of smile. The food in their restaurant was adequate and the beer was, to my taste, bland and unexciting. Staying here is not a disaster, but nor is it memorable. For the amount they must make (the room was not inexpensive) they could and should do better. But I guess it is a captive market in season, and ”just about good enough” is all they need to bother with.
