I stayed at Boulcott Suites for three nights and overall had a pleasant experience. The location is excellent — plenty of eateries nearby (many Asian options), a New World supermarket just around the corner, and Cuba Street all within walking distance. For those driving, private parking is available at NZD 29 per night, though it does need to be booked in advance by calling ahead. The room itself was well-equipped, with nearly everything listed on their website provided. Amenities included tea, coffee, hot chocolate, an infusion tea selection, a coffee machine, kettle, washing machine, clothing rack, clean towels, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, and a hair dryer. There’s also a convenient kitchenette with a stove and full set of utilities if you’d like to prepare meals. Do note that some basics like a toothbrush, toothpaste, shower cap, and bottled water aren’t supplied. I just drank the tap water, which seemed perfectly fine. On the downside, I felt the room was a little dusty, which took away slightly from the otherwise good presentation. I had also requested a baby cot during booking and was told it would be included, but it never arrived in the room. It wasn’t a big issue for me personally since the bed was large enough to co-sleep with my baby, but it’s worth mentioning for others who might rely on that service. All in all, Boulcott Suites is a convenient and comfortable choice in the heart of Wellington, with great amenities and an ideal location. With a little more attention to detail on housekeeping and guest requests, it would be close to perfect.

Nice accommodation in Wellington. I stayed on the top floor but still could hear noise from the street during the night. Overall, it was a good stay for the price.

The staff were very friendly, welcoming & very efficient. They took the time to go out of their way to make us comfortable. The lift & room was just a little bit older around the edges, but still very good! The bed was heavenly-soft & lovely, we just wish we'd had time to rest & relax more than one night in Wellington!

Overall, the hotel was clean, and the staff were friendly. The breakfast offered a good variety of options; however, we found a mouldy bagel and a hair in the full cream milk, which raised serious food safety concerns. The staff at the egg station were also not very friendly. In addition, the room's heat pump/air conditioner was very noisy, and my friend couldn't sleep well throughout the night. We hope these issues can be addressed, as they affected an otherwise pleasant stay.

Seriously lacking in hospitality. Asked for a latte at 5:57am and was told “ we don’t  open until 6am” No newspapers available. Bellhop service virtually nonexistent. Room service was good. Front desk agent untrained and unsupervised. No greeting upon entering the hotel or restaurant. Great mixologist at the bar.  Kudos to Andreas the only friendly person we met not really sure what his position is there but he was great, helpful and kind to two old ladies with multiple bags.  No hand soap in the bathroom and towels were not changed.  $45.00 per day valet car service seems a bit much given that there really isn’t another option. We stayed in a “superior double double “ Not sure what superior meant. One of the beds was hard up against a wall. Less than a meter between end of beds and desk/tv stand. Entertainment system did not offer any pay as you go options just a bunch of sky. No Netflix type options. I will not be recommending this hotel to anyone and most certainly will not be going back!

La habitación no es grande en la imagen, pero la sanidad es muy bien mantenida. La recepción es muy amable y siempre puede proporcionar la ayuda que necesita. El primer día me dio un mapa de la ciudad, dos días abajo, medían las calles y la cueva con los pies. Más amable para los viajeros que llevan la línea rápida AX del aeropuerto. En las calles Manners y Willis, caminando al sur por una parte de la calle de arriba a la derecha. Las toallas y el café son suficientes, y el chocolate. No puedo más café, beber chocolate, el hotel me prepara una taza grande en íntimo. Está cerca de la calle cubana, en realidad no está lejos de dondequiera. Cuando iba, Beth salió del trabajo, estaba en Biarritz, me llevó al aeropuerto, y me llevó a la boca, y me dio un vistazo al lugar de la fotografía del anillo. ¡Es muy amable! Si vuelvo a Wellington, seguro que escogí su casa.

Convenient location near main restaurant areas, like Cuba Street, in Wellington. Easy to get an Uber to the airport if you have an early morning flight. Comfortable rooms which are also clean, although many don’t have windows.

I rung ahead of time to check regarding parking and spoke to a friendly staff member by the name of Hunter who explained where entrance was and how to access car parking. We were impressed with size of the room and the facilities. Great location and didn't seem to hear much street noise. Room was nice and clean only thing noticeable was some scuff marks on walls and having a couch instead of 2 armchairs would have been perfect. Would highly recommend staying here, we had a great experience and commend Hunter on such great customer service

Quite the experience.  I was hoping for ‘cheap and cheerful’ fairly close to town. That was the case for the room and the breakfast options surpassed my expectations.  We slept well and were happy to have somewhere to stay that didn’t cost an arm and a leg.  After checking out we had a riotous time over a drink, reading through past reviews as we are clearly not alone in noticing the ‘Fawlty Towers-esque’ demeanour of the owner/manager.  He likes to complain about guests and after a couple of chats with him we were bemused to o notice that we had inadvertently behaved incorrectly and were the subjects of gossip with new guests - while we were still in the room!  I might have grey hair but my hearing is still intact.  My impression is that he’s harmless enough, just lacking in some social etiquette.  If you remember Basil Fawlty and take it with a grain of salt, you’ll be fine.

The room had multiple areas of built up dust that hadn’t been cleaned in a long time, and the shower had some mould in the corner and lots of soap scum around the bottles. The silicone holes in the shower head were all cracked and so the water dribbled down. I could also smell the drain. The additional windows installed (appreciate the building is historical) didn’t shut tight, which is a big problem in a windy city. The wind was howling through the window gaps when they were fully shut. Assume they were done as cheaply as possible. I was also a few doors down from the staff room, so I heard very frequent door slamming in the mornings which woke me up as it shook my door frame. There’s no way I’d be paying for full price for this hotel, but for a 50% off deal it was fine. The location is unbeatable and the bed was really comfortable. The room was a good size too.
