The Good: You cannot beat the location. Being directly connected to Nagano Station is a total game-changer, especially if you’re hauling ski gear or catching an early Shinkansen. The rooms are spacious, quiet, and the staff is incredibly professional. The Bad: The breakfast buffet is the biggest letdown. While the quality of the food is fine, the menu is extremely repetitive. If you are staying for more than two nights, you’ll find the exact same selection of eggs, bacon, and local sides every single morning. Verdict: Stay here for the convenience and the comfort, but maybe skip the breakfast add-on after day two and explore the bakeries in the attached MIDORI mall instead.

El hotel está muy bien ubicado, a menos de 10 minutos de la estación JR y en la misma calle que el Santuario, así que había muchos restaurantes cerca. Me alojé en una habitación compartida, que tenía más gente de la que esperaba (creo que vi al menos 60 camas/taquillas), por lo que era bastante ruidosa incluso de noche, ya que la gente entraba y salía constantemente. La cama en sí estaba bien, y el personal de recepción se tomó su tiempo para explicarme todo lo que necesitaba saber sobre el hostal. La sala común tiene una distribución un poco extraña, pero al menos tienes un espacio para usar si necesitas comer algo. La habitación compartida en sí, creo que tiene demasiada gente para ser cómoda, pero está bastante limpia. Las luces nunca se apagan, pero como hay una cortina, bloquea la mayor parte del ruido. El mayor problema es el ruido, ya que la gente entra y sale a horas aleatorias de la noche, y los botones para abrir la puerta también son bastante ruidosos cuando intentas dormir. Si quieres tapones para los oídos, los venden en recepción por un precio. En general, Nagano fue muy agradable, y su ubicación facilitó mucho los desplazamientos.

El hotel está muy bien situado entre la estación de tren y el templo. La habitación estaba limpia y el personal era muy eficiente. El vestíbulo tenía una zona acogedora con refrescos, tés y café gratuitos, además de pequeños aperitivos por la tarde. Tuvimos que retrasar mi llegada un día debido a un retraso que nos retrasó un día, y aunque no fue un problema que solucionar con el hotel, tuve que pagar el día completo. Técnicamente, esta era la norma, pero a veces, dadas las dificultades que tuvimos para llegar, un poco de flexibilidad habría sido de gran ayuda.

El hotel Tokyu Rei está situado a la calle de la estación de Nagano. Las habitaciones son de tamaño suficiente para un corto estancia para un par, un solo, o familia con niños pequeños. Las camas son cómodas y la habitación es limpia. Si te quedas una o dos noches para experimentar el Parque de Monkey Snow y la ciudad de Nagano y su entorno, es una buena opción. La estación está situada en la calle y ofrece muchos restaurantes y tiendas de alimentos.

Location: Near to Karuizawa train station (approximately 15 min walk to hotel west) and 10min walk to shopping mall. 5 min shuttle bus to reach ski area. Room: Clean and comfortable. But the bath powder is like toilet detergent scent. Amenities: there is Family mart operates until 11pm in hotel west. Service: Front desk lady can’t really speak English and hard to communicate. The man at cloakroom is unfriendly. Shuttle bus service: Shuttle bus service provided within the shopping area, hotel east and west. However, the instruction is unclear to us. When we queued up for the bus to station, the hotel staff did not inform us the bus was here and to align the bus but just change the next bus arrival timing. Until entire lane of the guests missed the bus. We had to walk all the way to station with our huge luggage. Snow Park: No clear direction or sign board to go snow park from hotel east. The snow park area is kinda small and suitable for young kid (below 7 years old). It is boring for kid above 7 years old.

Room is clean, spacious and quiet. Hotel staff is super helpful, we arrive at 12 and they let us to have early check-in. Location is a bit far from station, but we rent the hotel bike to and from sightseeing locations, so that’s ok. At the last day, hotel staff drove us to train station as well. Very helpful and friendly.

El menú de desayuno es limitado, pero la comida japonesa tiene un toque casero y está deliciosa.

One of the best hotels I’ve stayed in. We visited in early November 2025 during the autumn season, and the beautiful foliage added such a romantic touch to the surroundings. I loved the modern interior, the comfortable bed, and the overall room layout. The hotel looks incredibly romantic at night too, especially with the reflections on the pond. The outdoor onsen was a highlight. It felt serene at night, and the maple trees lit up in the evening made it absolutely scenic. The onsen is located in a separate building, so you do have to walk through the cold, but it wasn’t an issue as the hotel provides thicker robes. If I had to nitpick, the indoor slippers weren’t the most comfortable. We drove during our stay, so getting to nearby attractions was easy. There’s a large supermarket and a pharmacy about 5–10 minutes away, which was very convenient — we didn’t even need to visit any convenience stores. This hotel impressed me so much that it made me look up where else Hotel Indigo has branches in Japan!

El hotel está a unos 10 minutos a pie de la estación de Nagano, lo cual es bastante conveniente. Las habitaciones del hotel son limpias e higiénicas y el espacio es relativamente grande. Hay un autobús al templo Zenkoji en la puerta. conveniente Lo mejor es que el restaurante de la azotea tiene vista a los Alpes del Norte. El paisaje es hermoso y disfrutar de la vista pintoresca mientras desayuna es una ventaja definitiva.
