This hotel combines the convenience of modern high tech with the spiritual beauty of traditional culture. The rooms themselves are constructed around courtyards that give a sense of what life might have been like in Datong many centuries ago. In the lobby and in the rooms, murals decorate the walls with elegant designs of birds or flowers. The cabinets, bench, and floors made of wood and the countertops made of marble work together well and draw on design choices that are classicly, universally appealing. At the same time, the entire room is wired with the amenties of modernity. The toilet has a seat warmer and a light that turns on when you lift the lid so that you can find it in the middle of the night. Similarly, there seem to be motion-sensitive lights throughout the room that light up when you walk in the middle of the night so that you can find your way around. The water in the shower and the bathtub is able to get very hot (which I love!) and has high pressure. There is also a top-of-the-line hair dryer. It's the perfect blend of high tech and traditional amenities! If I have one complaint it's that the room was so hot that I had to open my window to let in the freezing air, and still the room was hot! That shows how effective the heating system is! The serivce at the hotel is also extraordinary! All the members of hotel reception are very friendly. And they send someone to your room shortly after you settle in to give you a platter of fruit, which was fresh and seasonal and artistically chosen it seems. They also have 24 hours service in case you need anything. My friend went into the lobby early in the morning shouting about coffee, and the staff came out quickly to make him a cup. The hotel is also very clean. The blankets, the pillows, and the sheets are as white as snow. The floors are free of dust and dirt and smudges. Everything in the shower and toilet room was scrubbed clean too. And the shower drains smoothly without pooling any water, showing how well it is maintained. Finally, the location is very convenient. You can see that for yourself by just looking at the map. But I would like to add that just outside the gate of the hotel, you can see the Prince's palace, which is beautifully lit at night. What's more, my favorite restaurant in downtown Datong (I think the restaurant is translated as BeiWei Family Garden or something like that) is less than 5 minutes walking from the gate. There are also multiple shops for buying vinegar or wine or shaji snacks. In less than 10 minutes, you can also walk to all the major commercial streets. I love the location of this hotel!

Nuestra estancia en Pingyao fue excelente. Helen, la anfitriona, así como su compañera, fueron encantadoras y muy atentas desde el primer momento. El hotel está ubicado en una antigua casa tradicional de Pingyao, muy auténtica y con un ambiente histórico que te hace sentir dentro de la ciudad antigua. La habitación era amplia, limpia y muy cómoda, ideal para descansar después de un día explorando las murallas y las calles del casco antiguo. Además, dispone de una terraza muy agradable, perfecta para sentarse por la noche, tomar algo y disfrutar del ambiente tranquilo de Pingyao iluminada por faroles rojos. Helen habla inglés con fluidez, algo que facilita mucho la comunicación para los viajeros europeos, y siempre estuvo dispuesta a ayudar con recomendaciones locales. En resumen, una estancia excelente que recomendamos totalmente a cualquiera que visite Pingyao.

Habiendo visto muchos hoteles, todos dijeron que había insectos negros locales en la habitación. Me temo que los insectos no reflejan insectos, y todavía está cerca de la antigua ciudad, hay grandes ventanas. La habitación está limpia y ordenada, y el diseño del patio es único. Un lugar fantástico para sentirse como en casa en una zona muy agradable del casco antiguo. Habitación amplia y bonita, cómoda y acogedora. Y por último, para mí, lo mejor de este lugar es el personal tan amable y servicial. Ya he estado aquí dos veces y sin duda volveré cuando más amigos vengan a China y quieran visitar las increíbles cuevas y el fantástico ambiente del casco antiguo. La casa de huéspedes estaba ubicada cerca de la Puerta Norte de la ciudad antigua, lo que la hizo fácil de encontrar. Al llegar el primer día, la recepcionista nos recibió personalmente, haciéndonos sentir como en casa. Nos acompañó hasta la casa y nos dio un mapa escrito a mano con información detallada sobre restaurantes y atracciones cercanas. La señora que preparó el desayuno también era increíblemente hábil; todavía recuerdo los fideos hechos a mano, mucho mejores que los de los restaurantes Lao Chai. Como era tan difícil conseguir reservas en Fenglinge y Longjuxiang, la recepcionista me dijo que Longjuxiang ofrecía servicio a domicilio, así que pedimos y comimos allí, ¡sin arrepentimientos!

Si llega tarde en primavera, es recomendable reservar el hotel con antelación para asegurar una plaza de aparcamiento. De hecho, el hotel está un poco lejos del casco antiguo. Aquí puede disfrutar de la comida para llevar de varios restaurantes antiguos, cenando directamente en la primera planta del hotel. La ubicación es inmejorable, a solo unos minutos del Templo Huayan y a 5-6 minutos a pie del Palacio Daiwang y la Muralla de los Nueve Dragones. The service provided by the staff was first class. The breakfast variety was fabulous as well. There is a night street side food market opposite the hotel which provides interesting food and snacks options. There was also a big park opposite the hotel which provides a good running route.
