«El Hotel Kamenoi está ubicado en la montaña y es uno de los pocos establecimientos en funcionamiento en la zona. Sus instalaciones son muy amplias. Optamos por un paquete de media pensión, que ofrecía una buena relación calidad-precio. Además, como de costumbre, por la noche sirven ramen de cortesía, lo cual es perfecto para los niños en crecimiento. Nos alojamos en una habitación tipo suite que contaba con camas dobles de estilo occidental y tatamis japoneses. La habitación era muy amplia y espaciosa. El agua de los grifos del hotel es agua potable de la montaña, con un sabor fresco, dulce y muy agradable al paladar. Nos encantó. Además, me di un baño en el onsen exterior en medio de la niebla, una experiencia fantástica.»

«Located in a remote part of the lake, this hotel is has a great view of the lake and a marvellous garden The rooms are large with western beds as as as tatami futons I had the lake view room. Magnificent view Unfortunately in early spring, the spectacular autumnal foliage shown in the all the posters were absent The onsen do have a great view but again in spring time there was nothing much to see except the lawn and the bare trees We did not take dinner here but breakfast was decent Good place for zen relaxation.»

«The location was fantastic, connected directly to the station, bus interchange and shopping malls. The room was probably the biggest I have stayed at in Japan, which was great when sharing with a friend. The tatami sitting area was great to sit in and enjoy the station view, with the trains coming and going. Was not disturbed by any train noise however. They also gave a sheet noting the times you can view specific train models from your room window. Staff were friendly and helpful, despite the language barrier. Would stay here again next time I'm in Akita.»

«Fuimos de Kakunodate al lago Tazawa. Como íbamos a hacer turismo en el lago Tazawa, primero fuimos al hotel para dejar nuestro equipaje. En recepción nos dijeron que ya habían limpiado la habitación y nos dejaron registrarnos primero. ¡La actitud fue realmente buena! También nos explicaron la ruta y el horario del autobús hasta Tazawako, así como el horario del autobús que debemos tener en cuenta al regresar. ¡Muchas gracias! Después de visitar el lago Tazawa, me di un baño en las aguas termales del hotel ♨️, ¡que estaban limpias e higiénicas! Por la noche tuvimos un bufé y había sobre todo turistas japoneses mayores, así como un grupo de turistas de Taiwán. ¡Todos eran muy exigentes con los modales y la cortesía a la hora de comer! ¡Al día siguiente, después del check out, hay un autobús gratuito a la estación de Tazawako! Durante el viaje, mi pequeña hija dejó su teléfono celular en el autobús. ¡El conductor revisó el auto y me lo trajo de inmediato! Aunque vive en el piso bajo, el aislamiento del sonido es muy bueno para las ventanas. Si vienes a la próxima vez, también vienes a vivir. Mi plan incluye el desayuno de dos días, y el desayuno puede comer comida en el suelo 👍🏻»

«夜遅くに男鹿駅につきましたが、駅から近くてよかったです。 共同のお風呂がとても広くて快適でした。 ハーフバイキングの朝食のプレートのボリュームがあり美味しかったです。食べ過ぎないようにプレートがきてから他のものをとるとよいかもしれません。»

«I didn’t have good experience the last few times that I stayed in other hotels of Dormy Inn group in other Japan cities. I was afraid that I might get the same experience like last few times, if yes, it maybe the last time I stayed in Dormy Inn hotels. Not to mention the other hotel groups offer better service that I have experienced. Luckily, this stay was pleasant. Most staff were friendly with attentive service. Onsen was always the highlight. The only drawback was the the onsen was often crowded. The room was clean. The location was fine, 7 mins’ walk. Convenience store nearby.»

«Apologies for the rather low score on service but as this is an unmanned hotel, and I had no direct experience of utilising the help line, I could not rate any higher; I did bump into the cleaning ladies, who are doing an excellent job, on my early morning departure, and they were most kind. The hotel is right next to the train station and has its own storage lockers as well as a beautifully maintained lobby with excellent amenities, including vending machines and freely available teas and coffee. The room was well appointed and clean and there was no noise, as expected in a more rural area. The day before check-in, one will receive an email and will be asked to fill out a pre-check in procedure which will produce a QR code necessary when actually checking in at the machines upon arrival-there are no staff on site. This proved seamless for myself, but may be somewhat perplexing or frustrating for older folks or those, like myself, who are not so technologically literate. There is a help button for those who may need it. I was delighted to find that there are coin operated washing/drying machines available. Nearby, there are cafes and bakeries and everything worth seeing is within manageable walking distance. Walking a little further will bring one to some lovely shrines at the end of the town and on the opposite end a beautiful view overlooking the town and the cherry blossom lined river. Having missed cherry blossom season by a few weeks, the view at both sunrise and sunset was worn the extra steps. Do try the local udon, the set pictured was from Machiya Hall and was most delicious.»
