Quinta do Outeiro

Really beautiful quinta, our apar**ent was fantastic, really big with a lovely view from the terrace. The swimming pool was really nice and we often had it to ourselves. Highly recommended staying here.

This place is a hidden gem in the Douro Valley! I cannot say enough about the lovely staff and the wonderful welcome we received from Filipe. The property is breathtaking, our room was full of European charm, and breakfast was delicious. Not to mention the complimentary bottle of their amazing wine you receive as a guest. This was just a one night stay for us, but wished we could have stayed longer. We will definitely go back the next time we are in Portugal. 💕

We highly recommend this property. The room was large and beautiful. We stayed in the Dona Maria room in the manor. The breakfast was lovely and the staff were all very good. The surrounding area was beautiful and we enjoyed the pool (one of 3!). Such a relaxing stay after the drive on the twisty, narrow roads! We stayed 2 nights but could have stayed longer. Loved it!

Super clean, well appointed and excellently maintained hotel. Beautiful views of the valley and Douro river. We had two large king sized rooms with own access to the pool. Staff were very friendly and helpful - especially the evening porter, who had to stay back for our very late arrival. The hotel has it's own working winery and the wine was really good and reasonably priced for a hotel. Breakfast was great. Unfortunately no lunch or dinner were available due to staff shortages , but the overall experience more than made up for this slight inconvenience. Would definitely recommend.

The most beautiful hotel & area I’ve ever been

Every detail has been thought through on this property. It's beautiful and you will not be disappointed. We stayed in one of the 2-bedroom villas on the property and not the main house. However, we did opt for breakfast in the main house each morning which was lovely (the warm brie rolls were yummy). Villa and main lodge is beautifully appointed with a blend of antique furniture and modern comforts. Plus, there are 3 pools on property. Our villa had our own pool. The grounds are impeccable. So very stunning with lovely views of valley. The 2 Brits that own this place has done an impeccable job in brining this property back to life. And the wines are quite good as well. Felipe was so helpful and took great effort to ensure we had a lovely stay. And the day staff, although they did no speak English well, was also tentative to our needs. Highly recommend this property!

From the moment of arrival we knew that this was a place to relax and unwind. Nestled in the Douro Valley and spread over several acres the Quinta has the feeling of staying in your own little private village, the properties are scattered around the grounds and as you take a stroll you encounter the various other accommodations all centered near the main house. We stayed in the Boedeaux house at the top of the hill, it was very secluded with wonderful views of the countryside. Our room/apar**ent felt very luxurious with all of the modern facilities, in front of the house was a shared swimming pool for use by the 4 sets of guests on that part of the property although we basically had it to ourselves. A wander through the vineyard is a must, there were delicious grapes, oranges, apples, tomatoes and a splendid persimmon tree ripe for the picking. A look inside the private chapel is a must while you ponder the nearby grotto. However what made our stay extra special were the great staff, they were attentive to every need and nothing was too much trouble everything from check in to departure went very smoothly.

This property is amazing. It is located in the heart of the Douro Valley and about 10 minutes drive to Resende although it is a very winding road, but beautiful scenery. The breakfast was very good and the outdoor areas relaxing and quiet.

Excellent staff in every way. Beautiful rooms and grounds. 10 out of 10.
