Cute boutique hotel in a prime spot near Buchanan St and with some rooms overlooking George Square. We stayed in a studio with a balcony on the 7th floor, which had a great view, but was a little unhandy when the only elevator went out of service 3 of the 5 days during our stay. The room was spacious in terms of hotel rooms in the city centre, and well equipped with everything we might need in the kitchenette, plenty of storage space, good quality linens and towels, upscale toiletries, and a roomy bathroom with a nicely tiled shower. The staff were all very helpful, and did a good job of communicating with us when my husband's golf bag we had shipped over from the US preceded our arrival by a few days; they kept it in reception until we got there. Parking is a good distance away, and there is no good place to load/unload, though if you follow the instructions from Reception, you can get a discounted daily rate at the parking garage they recommend. The shuttle bus from the airport, subway, and, train station are within a few blocks, so you definitely don't need a car to get places within (and to a great extent without) the city. Honestly we loved this hotel, found it a good value for the price, and will definitely consider staying here again on a return visit to Glasgow.

El hotel está en una ubicación excelente, a solo unos minutos a pie de la estación de tren. El edificio es precioso y la recepción/bar es luminosa y acogedora. Todo el personal parecía muy amable y servicial. Teníamos una habitación enorme y encantadora con una cama enorme y una ducha a ras de suelo maravillosa. Lo que menos le gustó fue la limpieza (café pegado a la pared, el rodapié y restos en el suelo del baño) y las almohadas, terriblemente blandas y de mala calidad. Cuando leí que la habitación tenía minibar gratuito, esperaba más de dos latas de agua y dos barquillos Tunnocks que nunca repusieron después del primer día. Otro gran inconveniente para nosotros fue que, tras leer varias descripciones del hotel, mencionaban la deliciosa comida escocesa del restaurante. Fuimos la última noche y nos dijeron que solo había comida del menú del servicio de habitaciones (que no tenía mucha variedad) y que se servía en el bar. Sin embargo, el desayuno estuvo estupendo, con mucha variedad de fruta, cereales, bollería y comida preparada.

We absolutely loved our stay here. The room was spacious and the beds were the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in. Seriously- wow. The bathroom was fine and the shower was amazing. Some dust and little dirt here and there but overall ok. I didn’t have breakfast so can’t comment on that but did go to the champagne bar and absolutely loved it. The drinks, staff and view- spectacular.The staff at reception were so bubbly too: The only thing I would change would be the coffee in the room as it was terribly weak. Overall great experience.

We enjoyed our stay at the Maldron and felt it was great value overall. The location was perfect. Everything was within walking distance but also slightly away from the main high street so it was nice and peaceful at night. There were also loads of excellent restaurants and coffee shops within a few hundred meters of the hotel, offering loads of cuisine choices. The staff were very helpful and friendly. When we arrived, I realised I had accidentally booked one of our rooms as a double room when we needed a twin. After just a quick call to reception the staff found us a twin room within minutes, and were even mindful of keeping our families on the same floor for convenience which we hugely appreciated. The rooms themselves were very clean, modern and spacious enough for the two of us and our suitcases. The sound proofing was pretty decent too, and there was minimal noise from the corridor/outside apart from a few doors banging in the morning as guests left. Other highlights include: a very good shower where you can switch between a rainfall + handheld head, plugs on both sides of the bed (an essential these days!) and a comfortable bed. The TV system is a little dated in my opinion, however it does allow casting which was a bonus. Overall, I'd highly recommend this hotel for a mid-low budget stay.

Un hotel decente, muy céntrico. Las habitaciones son pequeñas, pero tienen todo lo necesario y son nuevas. El desayuno estuvo genial: a mi hija le encantó la máquina de tortitas. El gimnasio tenía suficientes aparatos para entretenerse. En la planta baja había muchas zonas de estar con juegos, lo cual se agradecía.

It was a lovely stay, but can be a little noisy outside in the early hours, I would like to see ear plugs provided, although you can ask receptionist for anything you need, lovely comfy and clean bed, bathroom was a wow factor, shower with rainfall head, a mini fridge, coffee machine & kettle rounds things off, was surprised to see no robe and slippers,would definitely stay again, I’m probably being picky,

Es un hotel nuevo. El hardware es en general bueno, pero todavía hay algunos defectos menores, como que el asiento del inodoro está torcido y la puerta corredera del armario se descarrila fácilmente. El servicio del personal de recepción es muy bueno y el espacio público en el lobby del primer piso es increíble (mesa de billar gratis, cafetera, etc...).

Otra estancia estupenda. El servicio de limpieza llegó a las 10 de la mañana, lo cual fue una decepción porque la salida no es hasta las 12 del mediodía, así que me sentí un poco apurado por salir. La calefacción de la habitación no supera los 26 °C, aunque el termostato sube a 32 °C, y como soy friolero, me desperté bastante durante la noche porque la habitación no estaba lo suficientemente caliente. Recomiendo encarecidamente el hotel: el personal es estupendo y la piscina, el baño turco y el gimnasio son geniales. Lo único realmente decepcionante del hotel es que el desayuno cuesta unas 18 libras y no soy muy desayunador, solo tostadas y café, así que no me merece la pena. Creo que debería haber una opción más barata para quienes comen poco.

The Marriott Hotel has updated the rooms to a good standard. However the bathroom has not been updated and was very poor with various areas dirty. (See photos). Also the shower screen did not close meaning lots of water was spilled onto the floor when taking a shower. One of the bath towels in the room had a hole in it. Other small things were that there is only one chair in the room meaning my wife had to sit on the bed. Also only one tea spoon in the room. This is not what I would expect from a Marriott Hotel!
