Hoteles de 3 estrellas en Glasgow

My stay with the ibis hotel was somewhat mixed with both positive and negative. On a positive, the accessible room that I had booked was of a good size and the main bedroom area was clean. The staff on arrival were helpful and provided me with all necessary information upon check in. Sadly, I was disappointed when ordering from the hotel resturant. My son wanted a pizza and the menu provided a list of three types. When ordering, I was told that there was only one type which wasn’t listed on the menu. I found the food to be of substandard which is disappointing given the price. Equally on check out, I advised that the bathroom had a build up of dirt and hair around the shower tray. I was told “apologises, this is a housekeeping issue”. I voiced my disappointment regarding the food to just be told “sorry”. Lastly I expressed my disappointment that I was charged £12.99 per person for a breakfast buffet. I felt this was a bit steep considering my under 5 ate half a croissant. The front desk only advised that usually they did not charge for under 5’s and would need to take this up with the app I booked to is stay through. No solution or refund were offered.

El hotel tiene una ubicación excelente y el personal es muy paciente, especialmente Denis en la mesa delantera. Las habitaciones tienen calefacción, lo que le ayuda a mantenerse caliente en invierno. El restaurante de desayuno estaba lleno, pero la comida fue rellena rápidamente y sabor buen. En general, me gustaría quedarme aquí de nuevo si vuelvo a Glasgow la próxima vez.

Hampton by Hilton, Glasgow Central is located on West Campbell Street and this truly is right in the heart of the city centre! Located just around the corner from the bustling shopping street of Sauchiehall Street, you’ve got everything you need at your disposal within walking distance of this hotel! Even Glasgow’s Central station is just a short 10 minute walk away - ideal if you’re coming in from another such as Liverpool like I was! A double room in this hotel is a fair size. To maximise on the space, Hampton by Hilton have removed wardrobes and cupboards and have replaced them with walk-in spaces. It works - the L shaped room can feel a little cosy at first, but once you’ve passed through the corridor, the main area where the bed and TV is feels quite spacious. The breakfast provided - which is free for all guests - is to a great standard. Make sure you try out the fresh waffles which come as standard in Hampton by Hilton hotels. The breakfast area isn’t huge though, so if you come around 8.30/9am, space might be limited! There’s also a fitness suite in the hotel which has a good range of equipment available. No windows in there though! Some areas for improvement - the room could do with a bit of refurbishment as the furniture is looking quite tired in parts and there are a lot of scratches and dirty marks on the walls. The room is very functional rather than a luxurious stay. Having said that, Hampton by Hilton is not marketing itself as a luxury brand. It’s firmly in the budget hotel bracket, probably at a similar standard to Premier Inn - which certainly isn’t a bad thing! Another thing to note - if you stay here during the weekend, it could be noisy. There are three nightclubs right near the hotel and on a Saturday night, the noise didn’t stop until 2.30am and this meant we didn’t get much sleep one night. However, the staff were very helpful when we flagged it with them the next morning and gave a credit for a free night’s stay at any Hampton by Hilton! All in all, this hotel is a good base to stay whilst exploring Glasgow. It’s functional, it does the job and you’re going to be well fed during breakfast. True, there are areas for improvement, but this shouldn’t impact your overall experience too much!

Hotel muy anticuado. La agente de check-in no pudo encontrar mi reserva a pesar de haber proporcionado todos los datos relevantes, y fue muy poco atenta con nosotros hasta que la encontró en el sistema. Por el precio, esperaba una nevera o una plancha en la habitación. No había agua en las habitaciones al llegar (¡es lo habitual en todas partes!). No había aire acondicionado, y la habitación parecía un horno, así que no pudimos dormir bien. Abrimos la ventana, pero se oía música laúd, así que no tuvimos suerte. La ubicación era estupenda y diría que el desayuno estaba buenísimo, teniendo en cuenta lo que quedaba a las 9:30 de la mañana, pero nada más. Los dos quedamos muy decepcionados. No volveremos. Por cierto, me he alojado en varios hoteles Mercure a lo largo de los años, y este fue, con diferencia, el peor. No estoy seguro de si este hotel fue adquirido de otra cadena hotelera o de quien sea en base a las experiencias día y noche en visitas anteriores a un hotel Mercure, pero no nos hospedaremos en uno de sus establecimientos durante bastante tiempo, si es que lo hacemos... no parece valer la pena.

It was what you needed. Warmth. Shelter. A bed. It was just my luck that I was with super loud people in my female only room. Really struggled to sleep but it was just a night so not that big of an issue.

Qualidade do serviço de atendimento péssima. Experiência de cliente confrangedora.  Desorganização e caos no pequeno almoço e com reservas para refeições. Pedido de limpeza solicitado, também não apareceram.  Apenas a localização como ponto positivo literalmente.

I had stayed here a couple years back when I had to have emergency surgery at Garnavel hospital and found it to be very comfortable and quiet. We needed to catch an early morning bus to Skye and the bus stops right by the hotel so it was perfect. The restaurant is also very good and there’s a nice little pond to walk around right by the hotel.

Great location. Stayed here before. Staff are friendly but it's really let down in other areas. Our room was filthy. Bed was fresh but the desk was sticky, carpet looked like it hadn't been hoovered in weeks and when I went to plug in my phone beside the bed there was the remains of someone's peperami snack lying on the floor. Bathroom had a brown poo mark on the loo seat (which we cleaned!) And the loo floor was covered in long black hairs. I am platinum blonde and my friend has long dyed red hair... We told reception who offered to comp us breakfast but we had already paid for it so they just took the feedback. We asked for an iron and ironing board, and they were really pitiful appliances. They could do with an upgrade for sure. Oh and during breakfast the coffee machine was fully broken and was being taken apart...

Very basic stay but not cheap. Room is big and the bed is pretty nice but carpet and table needs a refresh. Bathroom was pretty antiquated but adequate. It is a walk to city center but there are a bunch of clubs and restaurants right around the corner from the hotel. Subway stop is literally right next to the hotel.
