Premier Inn Glasgow Pacific Quay

The location is great if you are attending an event at the OVO or Armadillo. It’s a four minute walk. The room was clean and felt in better condition than some Premier Inns. Negatives - windows don’t open. Pillows are very thick. Would stay again.

One star for a clean room, with nice view and Costa coffee attached to the hotel. However the room was apparently a Premier Plus room and I was charged £143. The room looked very tired, carpets were old and worn, it was on the top floor. There was no telephone to contact reception, no usb ports, no tissues and a lack of toiletries and glasses in the bathroom, which didn’t have a walk in shower. The tv remote didn’t work properly and the tv couldn’t be turned off. The bed was extremely uncomfortable. I had an extended stay in a Premier Inn standard room earlier this year (different hotel) which was by far superior to the ‘plus’ room, I was given. I was extremely disappointed and feel completely ripped off.

Hotel is ideal location for hydro. Fantastic staff, so friendly and welcoming. Room was spotlessly clean, comfortable and so quiet, lovely view over the Clyde. We ordered the meal deal, you get what you pay for, dinner was edible and breakfast was OK. If you want better then go elsewhere and pay more. We booked our parking before we arrived but there was really no need to. We will definitely return again mainly because of the staff and the comfortable nights sleep.

What an amazing welcome by Michelle at reception, smiley, fast, friendly and very efficient. An excellent start and a VERY good first impression of the hotel. Room was clean, spacious and very comfy. Thank you for making us feel so welcome it makes such a difference

The hotel itself was very clean and modern, but I have to say the staff were somewhat surly and uniformed. The new cocktail was advertised all over the hotel, from when you went in, then in the lift and at the entrance to the corridor. However when we asked what was in it before ordering we were told ‘I don’t know, it’s pre made’ We actually laughed this off until I went to the bar and asked for a certain beer only to be told we don’t do it, just the zero. I had to point the beer out to the member of staff as it was staring me in the face. I also came down at 12:20am for a nightcap to take to my room, only to be rudely told ‘bars shut’ that was it. No explanation that I may have been to late. Just that and they walked off with the slop tray. We actually found the village hotel directly across the street (granted, maybe a little bit more expensive) we’re the staff treated us like a guest and couldn’t have been more pleasant. Maybe a lesson staff at the premier inn could learn.

Been coming to this hotel for years as location is fantastic for the Hydro. Sadly the room we had this time was tired and really in need of tlc. Scuffed and peeling paintwork, stained chairs, broken lamp and mouldy grout in the bathroom. Such a shame as the location and breakfast were great. Maybe if I had a room in the newer part it would been better? If a below par room doesn’t bother you’ll be fine as the rest is good!
