We enjoyed our stay at the Maldron and felt it was great value overall. The location was perfect. Everything was within walking distance but also slightly away from the main high street so it was nice and peaceful at night. There were also loads of excellent restaurants and coffee shops within a few hundred meters of the hotel, offering loads of cuisine choices. The staff were very helpful and friendly. When we arrived, I realised I had accidentally booked one of our rooms as a double room when we needed a twin. After just a quick call to reception the staff found us a twin room within minutes, and were even mindful of keeping our families on the same floor for convenience which we hugely appreciated. The rooms themselves were very clean, modern and spacious enough for the two of us and our suitcases. The sound proofing was pretty decent too, and there was minimal noise from the corridor/outside apart from a few doors banging in the morning as guests left. Other highlights include: a very good shower where you can switch between a rainfall + handheld head, plugs on both sides of the bed (an essential these days!) and a comfortable bed. The TV system is a little dated in my opinion, however it does allow casting which was a bonus. Overall, I'd highly recommend this hotel for a mid-low budget stay.

El personal de Moxy fue muy amable y útil con excelentes maneras. La única ”reclamación” que nos ha sido encontrada en nuestra habitación muy caliente, incluso con la ventana abierta. ¡Un fan de techo habría sido perfecto! ¡Gracias equipo!

Excellent location, superbly clean, delicious breakfast, friendly staff, all amenities one could think of. What else is required. I travell a lot and this one is one of my favourite.😊😊😃😃

El hotel está bien ubicado. Se bien la habitación era hermética (no tenía ventanas) era espaciosa y el baño también. Lo que no se entiende es el espejo de la bacha donde uno no se veía la cara. Desayuno simple, de panadería, sin sobrarle en demasia pero sin faltarle condimentos. La atención de los empleados fue buena y cortés.

The Marriott Hotel has updated the rooms to a good standard. However the bathroom has not been updated and was very poor with various areas dirty. (See photos). Also the shower screen did not close meaning lots of water was spilled onto the floor when taking a shower. One of the bath towels in the room had a hole in it. Other small things were that there is only one chair in the room meaning my wife had to sit on the bed. Also only one tea spoon in the room. This is not what I would expect from a Marriott Hotel!

Habitación estupenda, muy espaciosa y con vistas increíbles al río y al SEC. Algunos detalles básicos, como el panel del aire acondicionado muy antiguo y la puerta del baño y el asiento del inodoro de baja calidad, resultaron un poco sorprendentes. Además, la ubicación de los enchufes es un verdadero engorro; para preparar té hay que levantar toda la bandeja y poner la tetera junto a la cama. El frigorífico tampoco estaba enchufado y, si quería usarlo, creo que tenía que sacarlo del todo. Aparte de estos pequeños detalles, mi estancia fue estupenda y agradezco los aperitivos y el agua de cortesía.

While I can’t say I fully enjoyed my stay at DoubleTree by Hilton, that may partly be because we had just come from a really lovely hotel in Aberdeen, so my expectations were quite high, particularly regarding the housekeeping standards, given the hotel’s reputation and heritage. Unfortunately, the cleaning service and general room upkeep felt somewhat lacking during our stay. That said, it was still a good stay overall. The reception staff were fantastic, very professional, welcoming, and helpful throughout our visit. The breakfast was decent as well, although we were unable to try many of the buffet options due to personal preferences and faith-based dietary restrictions. Overall, we enjoyed our time in Glasgow.

Booked it as we were attending a concert. Man on reception was so lovely and cheery. Made us feel immediately at ease. Breakfast was fantastic - quiet and plenty of food. A very chilled vibe! Would definitely book here again next time we are in Glasgow!
