Hoteles en Glasgow con desayuno

El hotel está en una ubicación excelente, a solo unos minutos a pie de la estación de tren. El edificio es precioso y la recepción/bar es luminosa y acogedora. Todo el personal parecía muy amable y servicial. Teníamos una habitación enorme y encantadora con una cama enorme y una ducha a ras de suelo maravillosa. Lo que menos le gustó fue la limpieza (café pegado a la pared, el rodapié y restos en el suelo del baño) y las almohadas, terriblemente blandas y de mala calidad. Cuando leí que la habitación tenía minibar gratuito, esperaba más de dos latas de agua y dos barquillos Tunnocks que nunca repusieron después del primer día. Otro gran inconveniente para nosotros fue que, tras leer varias descripciones del hotel, mencionaban la deliciosa comida escocesa del restaurante. Fuimos la última noche y nos dijeron que solo había comida del menú del servicio de habitaciones (que no tenía mucha variedad) y que se servía en el bar. Sin embargo, el desayuno estuvo estupendo, con mucha variedad de fruta, cereales, bollería y comida preparada.

Buena ubicación, justo enfrente de Buchanan Street y la zona comercial de St. Enoch. La estación Glasgow Centra está a unos 8 minutos a pie y la estación de metro de St. Enoch, a 2 minutos. De todas formas, es muy práctico. Los supermercados Tesco y Lindl están a solo 2 o 3 minutos a pie, así que puedes comprar algo para cocinar en el apartotel si lo deseas. La despensa de la habitación cuenta con microondas, hervidor de agua, vajilla, vasos, etc. Hay una lavandería con lavadora y secadora (se paga aparte £3+£3). El estado actual es el mismo que en las fotos. También es maravilloso pasear por la orilla del río, que está a una manzana del hotel. Hay pubs cerca del hotel, pero no se oye el ruido con la ventana cerrada y el aire acondicionado encendido. Éramos 4 personas: dos dormimos en la habitación y las otras dos en el sofá cama del salón. Una estancia agradable y muy recomendable.

We enjoyed our stay at the Maldron and felt it was great value overall. The location was perfect. Everything was within walking distance but also slightly away from the main high street so it was nice and peaceful at night. There were also loads of excellent restaurants and coffee shops within a few hundred meters of the hotel, offering loads of cuisine choices. The staff were very helpful and friendly. When we arrived, I realised I had accidentally booked one of our rooms as a double room when we needed a twin. After just a quick call to reception the staff found us a twin room within minutes, and were even mindful of keeping our families on the same floor for convenience which we hugely appreciated. The rooms themselves were very clean, modern and spacious enough for the two of us and our suitcases. The sound proofing was pretty decent too, and there was minimal noise from the corridor/outside apart from a few doors banging in the morning as guests left. Other highlights include: a very good shower where you can switch between a rainfall + handheld head, plugs on both sides of the bed (an essential these days!) and a comfortable bed. The TV system is a little dated in my opinion, however it does allow casting which was a bonus. Overall, I'd highly recommend this hotel for a mid-low budget stay.

My stay with the ibis hotel was somewhat mixed with both positive and negative. On a positive, the accessible room that I had booked was of a good size and the main bedroom area was clean. The staff on arrival were helpful and provided me with all necessary information upon check in. Sadly, I was disappointed when ordering from the hotel resturant. My son wanted a pizza and the menu provided a list of three types. When ordering, I was told that there was only one type which wasn’t listed on the menu. I found the food to be of substandard which is disappointing given the price. Equally on check out, I advised that the bathroom had a build up of dirt and hair around the shower tray. I was told “apologises, this is a housekeeping issue”. I voiced my disappointment regarding the food to just be told “sorry”. Lastly I expressed my disappointment that I was charged £12.99 per person for a breakfast buffet. I felt this was a bit steep considering my under 5 ate half a croissant. The front desk only advised that usually they did not charge for under 5’s and would need to take this up with the app I booked to is stay through. No solution or refund were offered.

La ubicación del hotel es estupenda, muy cerca del centro de la ciudad y muy conveniente para viajar. Sin embargo, el aire acondicionado no funcionaba por mucho que lo ajustara, la habitación estaba extremadamente fría, así que tenga cuidado al qued**** en invierno.

Great location, super close to city centre and very convenient. Staff members are always helpful and super friendly. On my final night there was a storm in Scotland and staff was super helpful with trying to see if they can book me for one extra night just in case if trains don’t run the next day :) really happy with the service. Breakfast has good selection! Room is okay, the AC seemed a bit old and broken but still works, temperature in the room is fine!

Hampton by Hilton, Glasgow Central is located on West Campbell Street and this truly is right in the heart of the city centre! Located just around the corner from the bustling shopping street of Sauchiehall Street, you’ve got everything you need at your disposal within walking distance of this hotel! Even Glasgow’s Central station is just a short 10 minute walk away - ideal if you’re coming in from another such as Liverpool like I was! A double room in this hotel is a fair size. To maximise on the space, Hampton by Hilton have removed wardrobes and cupboards and have replaced them with walk-in spaces. It works - the L shaped room can feel a little cosy at first, but once you’ve passed through the corridor, the main area where the bed and TV is feels quite spacious. The breakfast provided - which is free for all guests - is to a great standard. Make sure you try out the fresh waffles which come as standard in Hampton by Hilton hotels. The breakfast area isn’t huge though, so if you come around 8.30/9am, space might be limited! There’s also a fitness suite in the hotel which has a good range of equipment available. No windows in there though! Some areas for improvement - the room could do with a bit of refurbishment as the furniture is looking quite tired in parts and there are a lot of scratches and dirty marks on the walls. The room is very functional rather than a luxurious stay. Having said that, Hampton by Hilton is not marketing itself as a luxury brand. It’s firmly in the budget hotel bracket, probably at a similar standard to Premier Inn - which certainly isn’t a bad thing! Another thing to note - if you stay here during the weekend, it could be noisy. There are three nightclubs right near the hotel and on a Saturday night, the noise didn’t stop until 2.30am and this meant we didn’t get much sleep one night. However, the staff were very helpful when we flagged it with them the next morning and gave a credit for a free night’s stay at any Hampton by Hilton! All in all, this hotel is a good base to stay whilst exploring Glasgow. It’s functional, it does the job and you’re going to be well fed during breakfast. True, there are areas for improvement, but this shouldn’t impact your overall experience too much!

La habitación no se limpiará desde el check-in hasta el check-out. El desayuno es muy bueno, autoservicio, con frutas, tortillas, pan y leche con nutrición equilibrada. Las cortinas de la habitación en la que me alojé estaban rotas, por lo que me despertaban todas las mañanas. El servicio es muy educado y considerado. Hay un pequeño lago afuera y el ambiente es muy hermoso.

La ubicación es realmente buena, está cerca del Winterfest Market (Mercado de Navidad). Sólo por 5 minutos a pie. La cama está limpia y privada. El cuarto de baño también está muy limpio. La única desventaja es el pub al lado del albergue, ponía la música a todo volumen hasta medianoche. Para mí estuvo bien, pero para alguien que necesita un espacio absolutamente tranquilo será el problema.

Very basic stay but not cheap. Room is big and the bed is pretty nice but carpet and table needs a refresh. Bathroom was pretty antiquated but adequate. It is a walk to city center but there are a bunch of clubs and restaurants right around the corner from the hotel. Subway stop is literally right next to the hotel.
