Buen servicio, pero necesitan mejorar la limpieza y el mantenimiento. Al llegar a nuestra habitación, vimos un montón de moscas volando sobre la cama porque la ventana estaba abierta. El personal de recepción pronto nos la cambió por una habitación de categoría superior. La habitación está bien, pero hay moho en la ducha y las sábanas no estaban bien ajustadas. Además, la ventana de la habitación no se puede cerrar con llave.

Check in was easy, parking was not a problem. Food in restaurant was more finger food and more like what you’d get in a cinema. I was happy with it but hubby thought otherwise hahaha. We played pool at the lobby which had a pink table. Lots of fun before retiring for our super early flight. Room was ok for short stays. 7-10 mins walk to airport. On the whole was nice.

I stayed at Courtyard by Marriott Edinburgh from 22 February to 26 February 2026 in Room ***. Unfortunately, my experience fell significantly below the service and housekeeping standards expected of the Marriott brand. 1) 22 February 2026 (Check-in) Upon arrival, I immediately noticed several cleanliness issues with my room. The kettle was dusty and visibly dirty, the shower gel was completely empty, there were noticeable stains on the bed sheets, the shower room floor was unclean, and the shower water pressure was extremely poor. I reported these issues to the front desk on the same day. In addition, during the check-in process, the staff did not provide any information about hotel amenities, such as gym operating hours, availability of facilities like the ice machine or microwave, or other services. I only became aware of some of these facilities on my last day during check-out, which was disappointing. 2) 23 February 2026 The shampoo had run out and was not replenished during housekeeping services. I emailed the Front Office Manager regarding both the missing amenities and the ongoing low shower pressure issue. I did not receive any response. 3) 24 February 2026 The situation continued. Coffee and tea bags were not refilled, the stained bed sheets had still not been changed since Day 1 check-in, and both shampoo and conditioner were empty. I called the same Front Office Manager twice, and only shampoo was delivered. I then contacted the front desk twice more to clearly request conditioner, yet incorrect items were delivered again. As a result, the conditioner remained unreplenished for me for 3 consecutive days (22–24 February). 4) 25 February 2026 In the morning, I requested a new toothbrush through the front desk and was told housekeeping would provide one during housekeeping service. When I returned to my room after housekeeping, no toothbrush had been supplied. I later learned that when Trip.com contacted the hotel on my behalf regarding the service lapses, the Operations Manager informed them that everything had been “addressed and settled with me” which was not accurate. While individual staff members made partial attempts to assist, the repeated housekeeping lapses, lack of follow-up, and unresolved maintenance issue reflect systemic operational shortcomings rather than isolated mistakes. Throughout my entire stay (22–26 February), the shower water pressure issue remained unresolved. The hotel’s location is excellent and within walking distance of many major attractions, which helps save on public transport costs. However, good location alone does not compensate for the overall service deficiencies experienced during this stay. As a paying guest, I expected basic cleanliness, consistent replenishment of amenities, and responsive service, especially from a reputable hotel property like Marriott. Unfortunately, those expectations were not met during this stay.

Este hotel tenía una ubicación excelente. A 5 minutos a pie del centro comercial, a 2 minutos de la parada del tranvía y a solo 10 minutos de algunas de las principales atracciones de Edimburgo. El personal de recepción fue extremadamente amable y servicial, e incluso se encargó de nuestras maletas al hacer el check-out para que pudiéramos visitar algún otro lugar de interés en Edimburgo antes de irnos. El único inconveniente es que, al tratarse de un edificio antiguo, no había ascensor, lo cual no nos afectó, pero sí podría ser un problema para personas mayores o con discapacidad.

La bienvenida fue excelente; nos ofrecieron una habitación antes de la hora prevista de llegada, con una sonrisa. Sin embargo, al marcharnos, la persona encargada del check-out fue bastante desagradable. Eran las 5:00 de la mañana y era evidente que les estábamos molestando. Aun así, lo recomiendo encarecidamente.

We had an absolutely wonderful honeymoon stay at your hotel! The special room decorations and thoughtful little gifts made our arrival feel truly magical and romantic. The staff’s attention to detail really set the tone for our entire trip, and we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect start to our married life. El apartamento está a unos 20 minutos a pie de la estación de tren de Weiwei. Muy cerca de Princes Street y Edimburgo. Aunque el apartamento requiere llegada autónoma. Pero hay un administrador en la planta baja. Si necesitas ayuda, puedes acudir directamente a él. La lavadora, el frigorífico, la tostadora y la cocina eléctrica son todos muy fáciles de usar y el frigorífico tiene congelador. La limpieza se puede realizar diariamente o cada pocos días según las necesidades personales.

Transporte conveniente y estacionamiento gratuito. Hay una estación de autobuses en la planta baja. Hay muchos autobuses a la ciudad de Edimburgo por 2 libras. Se tarda entre 12 y 15 minutos en llegar a Princes Street sin atascos. Reservé una habitación familiar y el sofá cama extra era un poco incómodo.

Estuvimos muy satisfechos con la habitación. Como viajábamos con mi madre, que tiene más de 80 años, el hotel tuvo la amabilidad de organizarnos una habitación adaptada para personas mayores, lo cual fue muy considerado. Estuvimos especialmente satisfechos, sobre todo con la recepcionista, que nos brindó un servicio excelente y nos ayudó a reservar un taxi. El conductor nos llevó al aeropuerto temprano a la mañana siguiente. ¡Les quedamos muy agradecidos!

A Wonderful Stay – Highly Recommended! My friend and I recently had the pleasure of staying at this lovely property, and we had an excellent experience. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed with the attention to detail and the warmth of the staff. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring we both got a restful night’s sleep. What truly stood out, however, was the level of service. I was feeling a bit under the weather during our stay, and the staff went above and beyond by bringing breakfast directly to our room, which was a thoughtful and much-appreciated gesture. This level of care really goes a long way in making guests feel valued. For those who prefer to enjoy their breakfast with a bit of fresh air, the hotel also has a charming terrace where you can take your meal while soaking in the surroundings. It's the perfect way to start the day if you want to enjoy a bit of sunshine. The location is also a major plus. It’s just a short walk to the city center, making it easy to explore, and for those who prefer not to walk, a quick 5-minute bus ride will take you wherever you need to go. The lounge area at the hotel is another highlight. It’s spacious, cozy, and thoughtfully equipped with blankets to keep guests comfortable if the temperature drops. It provided the perfect spot to unwind after a day of sightseeing. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting the area. The combination of comfort, thoughtful service, and a prime location makes it a top choice. We will definitely be staying here again when we return!
