La ubicación es excelente, se puede ir andando a todas partes, ya que el hotel está dentro de la zona turística. El personal de recepción es muy paciente, detallista y atento. Hay agua caliente y ascensor. No hay microondas, pero se puede pedir café y comidas ligeras. Hay muchos sitios para comer cerca. Es muy fácil guardar el equipaje. Las chicas que se alojaban eran muy educadas. Unos chicos jóvenes coreanos que se alojaban allí me ayudaron a abrir la puerta, muy amables. Las normas del albergue prohíben comer o hablar por teléfono en el interior, y todos eran muy conscientes y respetuosos con los demás. Quizás por haber caminado mucho durante el día, dormí muy bien por la noche. Las luces de la habitación se apagaron alrededor de las 10, y mi habitación, que solo estaba ocupada a la mitad (temporada baja), era realmente espaciosa y el aire no estaba sucio. Está a seis minutos andando de la estación de tren y a tres minutos de la parada del autobús del aeropuerto. La próxima vez que venga, me alojaré aquí de nuevo. Le doy la máxima puntuación.

Check in was easy, parking was not a problem. Food in restaurant was more finger food and more like what you’d get in a cinema. I was happy with it but hubby thought otherwise hahaha. We played pool at the lobby which had a pink table. Lots of fun before retiring for our super early flight. Room was ok for short stays. 7-10 mins walk to airport. On the whole was nice.

I stayed at Courtyard by Marriott Edinburgh from 22 February to 26 February 2026 in Room ***. Unfortunately, my experience fell significantly below the service and housekeeping standards expected of the Marriott brand. 1) 22 February 2026 (Check-in) Upon arrival, I immediately noticed several cleanliness issues with my room. The kettle was dusty and visibly dirty, the shower gel was completely empty, there were noticeable stains on the bed sheets, the shower room floor was unclean, and the shower water pressure was extremely poor. I reported these issues to the front desk on the same day. In addition, during the check-in process, the staff did not provide any information about hotel amenities, such as gym operating hours, availability of facilities like the ice machine or microwave, or other services. I only became aware of some of these facilities on my last day during check-out, which was disappointing. 2) 23 February 2026 The shampoo had run out and was not replenished during housekeeping services. I emailed the Front Office Manager regarding both the missing amenities and the ongoing low shower pressure issue. I did not receive any response. 3) 24 February 2026 The situation continued. Coffee and tea bags were not refilled, the stained bed sheets had still not been changed since Day 1 check-in, and both shampoo and conditioner were empty. I called the same Front Office Manager twice, and only shampoo was delivered. I then contacted the front desk twice more to clearly request conditioner, yet incorrect items were delivered again. As a result, the conditioner remained unreplenished for me for 3 consecutive days (22–24 February). 4) 25 February 2026 In the morning, I requested a new toothbrush through the front desk and was told housekeeping would provide one during housekeeping service. When I returned to my room after housekeeping, no toothbrush had been supplied. I later learned that when Trip.com contacted the hotel on my behalf regarding the service lapses, the Operations Manager informed them that everything had been “addressed and settled with me” which was not accurate. While individual staff members made partial attempts to assist, the repeated housekeeping lapses, lack of follow-up, and unresolved maintenance issue reflect systemic operational shortcomings rather than isolated mistakes. Throughout my entire stay (22–26 February), the shower water pressure issue remained unresolved. The hotel’s location is excellent and within walking distance of many major attractions, which helps save on public transport costs. However, good location alone does not compensate for the overall service deficiencies experienced during this stay. As a paying guest, I expected basic cleanliness, consistent replenishment of amenities, and responsive service, especially from a reputable hotel property like Marriott. Unfortunately, those expectations were not met during this stay.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel that other travellers should know what to expect. I stayed in a single room on the top floor and was very disappointed, especially considering the price. The room was much smaller than I had expected and felt rather cramped. I paid £136 through Trip.com, even with a discount, and I simply did not feel that the room offered value for money. The room looked tired and dated. The carpet did not look very fresh, the furniture was old-fashioned but not in a charming or historic way, and there were marks on the walls that could easily have been touched up. The bedside lamp also appeared to be damaged, as the lampshade was noticeably crooked and could not be adjusted. I would also like to mention that the room and bathroom were clean, and the bed linen was fresh and clean. I knew when I booked that the room did not include a safe or a fridge, as this was mentioned in the description. However, for a four-star hotel at this price, I still feel that a safe and at least a small fridge should be provided. The television was also very small, and overall the room felt very basic for the price and hotel rating. The bathroom itself was a reasonable size, but it was not very practical. There was no shelf above the sink for toiletries, which was inconvenient. In the shower, the large shampoo and conditioner bottles were placed on the floor of the shower, meaning I had to keep bending down to reach them. I would also like to mention that access to the upper floors involves a very steep spiral staircase. I was aware that there was no lift, but I did not expect the staircase to be so steep and difficult to climb. As I was not comfortable in the room, I asked whether it might be possible to move to a different room. Unfortunately, there were no other rooms available. I had originally planned to stay in Edinburgh for another night, but I decided to move to a different hotel instead. The location of the hotel is good and convenient for Waverley Station, and the staff were polite and friendly. However, my overall experience did not meet my expectations for a four-star hotel, especially at this price. Unfortunately, I would not choose to stay at this hotel again.

We had an absolutely wonderful honeymoon stay at your hotel! The special room decorations and thoughtful little gifts made our arrival feel truly magical and romantic. The staff’s attention to detail really set the tone for our entire trip, and we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect start to our married life. Estuvimos muy satisfechos con la habitación. Como viajábamos con mi madre, que tiene más de 80 años, el hotel tuvo la amabilidad de organizarnos una habitación adaptada para personas mayores, lo cual fue muy considerado. Estuvimos especialmente satisfechos, sobre todo con la recepcionista, que nos brindó un servicio excelente y nos ayudó a reservar un taxi. El conductor nos llevó al aeropuerto temprano a la mañana siguiente. ¡Les quedamos muy agradecidos!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Me alojé en Stewart by Heeton Concept durante 2 días y ¡sin duda volvería! El apartamento estaba impecable: sin polvo, sin chinches, sábanas limpias y un baño ordenado. Todo estaba en perfecto estado, lo que hizo que la estancia fuera muy cómoda. Fue un lugar ideal para relajarse y desconectar. Solo mencionaría dos cosas que podrían mejorarse: la hora de salida a las 10:30 me pareció un poco temprana y faltaban algunos artículos básicos de aseo como pasta de dientes, cepillo de dientes y zapatillas. Todo lo demás estaba disponible y bien surtido. En resumen, una estancia fantástica y muy recomendable. ¡Volveré seguro! 😊

A Wonderful Stay – Highly Recommended! My friend and I recently had the pleasure of staying at this lovely property, and we had an excellent experience. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed with the attention to detail and the warmth of the staff. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring we both got a restful night’s sleep. What truly stood out, however, was the level of service. I was feeling a bit under the weather during our stay, and the staff went above and beyond by bringing breakfast directly to our room, which was a thoughtful and much-appreciated gesture. This level of care really goes a long way in making guests feel valued. For those who prefer to enjoy their breakfast with a bit of fresh air, the hotel also has a charming terrace where you can take your meal while soaking in the surroundings. It's the perfect way to start the day if you want to enjoy a bit of sunshine. The location is also a major plus. It’s just a short walk to the city center, making it easy to explore, and for those who prefer not to walk, a quick 5-minute bus ride will take you wherever you need to go. The lounge area at the hotel is another highlight. It’s spacious, cozy, and thoughtfully equipped with blankets to keep guests comfortable if the temperature drops. It provided the perfect spot to unwind after a day of sightseeing. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting the area. The combination of comfort, thoughtful service, and a prime location makes it a top choice. We will definitely be staying here again when we return!
