Hoteles de 3 estrellas en Ella

We had a wonderful stay at Greenland Villa. It is perfectly located right next to the Kithal Ella train station, from which you can directly board the famous train that goes through the nine arch bridge. The property was beautiful, very well equipped with everything we needed including a great kitchen. It was clean, well ventilated, and more importantly it felt like home. The owner took time to decorate it with great taste. On top of that he was such a humble and polite person.Upon arrival he gave us a ride to get our groceries; another day he brought us his homegrown vegetables, which was such a nice gesture. Having said that, there were a couple of issues that needed to be addressed. The WiFi connection was not great, probably because of the location, but we struggled with it. And the breakfast was very carb-heavy, which may work for you but wasn't particularly to our liking. Nonetheless, We would book it again if I ever come back to Ella. We can only recommend Greenland villa highly.

This was my first time in this city and my stay here was amazing. It was incredibly peaceful and quiet, offering a full immersion in nature that you can't find in big cities. The atmosphere and accommodation were very private. The owners provided excellent service, making me feel like family. The rooms were large and spacious, not at all intimidating. On my arrival, I requested to try on traditional Sri Lankan clothing, and the accommodation provided it for me. I was extremely impressed.

El hotel estaba un poco fuera del camino, pero una hermosa ubicación, y el dueño me llevó al centro de la ciudad y me recogió, y también me llevó a la estación de tren.....todo por GRATIS ! El desayuno era increíble (pero demasiado para una persona). Yo me quedaría el otro.

Es un poco alto en una colina, pero la vista desde mi balcón era maravillosa.También está justo a la calle principal, así que si no te importa el paseo y baja todavía está relativamente bien situado a estar cerca de los bars y restaurantes y tiendas de los backpackers. El desayuno tenía muchas opciones locales de Sri Lanka que aprecié muy bien, y el personal también estaba feliz de explicar cada plato a los nuevos. ¿Un pequeño consejo para el equipo: quizás contratar a algunas mujeres empleadas? Como una mujer que viajaba sola, una de las primeras cosas que noté fue el personal de todo el hombreo al menos, no vi una mujer trabajando allí en mi estancia 2-night. No tengo ningún problema con eso, pero los viajeros de mujeres solitarias más jóvenes podrían estar involuntariamente asustados

El hotel es el quinto que hemos asentado en Sri Lanka y, francamente, el mejor. Un buen olor a árboles frescos, habitaciones limpias, agradables, techos altos y buena aire acondicionado. Y lo principal es las mantas, no todos los hoteles tienen mantas. Nos conocimos muy bienvenidos, tratados con coco. La única desconexión en este hotel es la audiencia de los vecinos. El desayuno era muy delicioso y nos ofreció un delicioso desayuno tradicional de pasta de cacao aguda con hortalizas - muy delicioso. Y aquí hay un buen café y un té de ginger muy delicioso. Regresaré a este hotel, se ha demostrado ser un gran añadimiento a nuestra visita a Ella.

La ubicación **primera** fue inviable – sólo un paseo **2-minute al centro de la ciudad principal**, con fácil acceso a restaurantes **tendientes y lugares vibrantes**.   ¡Qué hace que nuestra estancia sea especial es el **servicio atento y atmosfera caliente **. **Gran comida, servicio fantástico y personal de verdad cuidado ** – No podríamos haber pedido más!   **Muy recomendable** Alta Vista para viajeros buscando **comfort, comodidad y hospitalidad genuina**. **Gracias por un estancia memorable Una cosa que puede hacer más eficaz es WhatsApp servicio. WhatsApp acelerará las cosas. Servicio fue rápido si tienes un número de Srilanka sobre la llamada telefónica.

Keeping in mind this is a 3 star hotel, the positives are the rooms are big with a balcony looking out at amazing views (ours anyway), and the pool is clean and quite big also with amazing views and a concrete elephant water feature!!! The location of the hotel is pretty good too - far enough from other properties to be quiet but close enough to Ella main drag that you can walk in 10-15 minutes or pay a tuk tuk driver double the rate of Colombo to get to and from. The big negative for us was that despite being told upon checking in that the room would be cleaned every day, it was not. And I was told the reason why was that we didn’t hand in our key for it to be done - which seems bizarre after staying in hotels for decades and not being told to or having to hand in a key in order to get a standard daily room clean. The insinuation that it was our fault for not handing in a key (not that we were told to do so on checking in) was extremely irritating. Food was ok but overpriced so we ate elsewhere (lots of options). There were lots of little things in the rooms that could be easily addressed to make them nicer - definitely not having ripped old bath towels, and removing an empty TV bracket from the wall (like a TV used to be there but not anymore - or was it just our room, who knows). All these little things add up to I really think the room rate is too high - but we are here in the high season so maybe that’s just the going rate.

El hotel es perfecto para quienes planean pasar el día fuera, explorando los encantos de Ella y volviendo directamente a la cama. Me alojé en una habitación estándar (una cama, una mesita, una silla, una mesita de noche y un baño con ducha). La habitación era demasiado pequeña para mí y no cabía en la cama (mido 1,90 m). Pero aprecié mucho la hospitalidad del dueño y su amigo; fueron muy amables e hicieron todo lo posible para que mi estancia fuera lo más cómoda posible. Hay una amplia terraza en la planta baja donde se puede pasar la tarde o trabajar con el portátil. Los desayunos son deliciosos y equilibrados, algo que también disfruté mucho. Cené allí varias veces y todo estaba riquísimo.

J’ai apprécié l’emplacement un peu à l’écart de la grande avenue, mais il est vrai que le soir la rue est sombre. La chambre est grande avec un grand balcon, la literie est confortable. Par contre je n’ai pas aimé que le petit déjeuner soit mentionné et qu’on m’ait averti la veille qu’il ne le servaient pas sans même trouver d’alternative. Le wifi n’est pas du tout stable et la communication avec le gérant est presque inexistante. On ne m’a jamais répondu ni pour le petit déjeuner ni pour le wifi

We stay here for 3 nights and it was a lovely experience! The rooms were clean and tidy, we got fresh towels each day and new bottles of water! They were happy to tidy the room each day which was the first time we had this on our whole journey in Sri Lanka so was a lovely extra touch for us but we were happy with just new towels and water! They are currently renovating downstairs to build a restaurant so we were a little confused when we first arrived but this did not take away from the experience of the hotel, the staff were super friendly and accommodating! The hotel is in the perfect location on the main road through Ella with bars, restaurants and shops everywhere! With the train station a short 5 min walk everything is accessible. We would 100% recommend to stay here for your trip to Ella
