Despite the insufficiencies in the room, I recommend this hotel for staff friendliness, airport pick-up/drop-off services and local transport service. For breakfast and other meals, there is the bun shop next door and the noodles restaurant of one minute walk away from the hotel. For recreation, there is the games machine outside the hotel. I will stay at Sycamore Tree Hotel again if there were another opportunity of an onward flight at night from Changsha to another city airport.

Chose this hotel as it was close to the airport. It's abit out of the way but the hotel provides free transport to and from the metro and airport which is excellent. The room was spacious and clean but the bathroom could do with updating as the bathroom floor is rather stained and needs resealing. The staff were very friendly and helpful. For the price, it's an absolute bargain and even included breakfast albeit very basic. Don't expect anything fancy but basic amenities and a quick stay over is fine.
