Comfortable, clean, quiet and a good breakfast. Well located for the bottom of the hill. No parking at bottom, but you can drop off and pick up outside. Staff helpful and friendly. Lovely traditional pub with great food. Ideal for eating then slinking off to bed! Would stay again.

We ate here twice during our visit to Staithes. The staff could not have been friendlier. Even in November this place was busy. The fish and chips was the best fish and chips I've had this year. And the beer was excellent. Walked past with the dogs every morning and they were always cleaning at 7.30. Definitely returning.

As we were walking the Cleveland Way the venue had agreed to take delivery and pass on our bags from the baggage transfer company. We arrived early feeling very weary and needed a cool drink, the young lady at check said just to let us know when we were ready and then took us to our room. The room was very smartly decorated and spacious and included free drinking water bottles. Great location in the centre of the village, the food was also exceptional quality and good value.

What a lovely place! We booked last minute due to great bank holiday weather and were so pleased. The staff were great, the room spotless - and smelt lovely! - the breakfast menu was varied and great quality. We couldn't fault it. We'll definitely be back. Thank you for a smashing break x

Went for a drink but staff were very unsociable and the a**osphere was very hostile. We felt very uncomfortable. We went on a Saturday night and this pub was not full. Would not recommend visiting this establishment.

Hotel is situated right in the centre of the village. It is down a steep hill from the pay and display carpark at the top, but it is only a short walk. Cost for 24hrs was £6. Staff at the hotel couldn't do enough to help us on arrival, with luggage etc. The hotel has a restaurant where we had a great meal that evening. A full breakfast was included and served in a separate room on the 1st floor. Overall a very enjoyable break for us in a lovely place.
