I've never stayed at a hostel before therefore my opinion is probably biased but I'll try anything once . The first thing that struck us was lack of signs from the car park to the reception, kept having to ask folk. On arriving at the reception one of our party had forgotten their photo I.D & because of this the rest of the family could not check into a family room. I never figured out why it was needed, we are all obviously British citizens. They had to wait over three hours before I.D could be emailed to them. Then there was the parking, not out the front what about those with mobility problems? The dinner consisted of powered mash, very much old school meal standard. The room could be described as a cell, first bathroom smelly. It put me off going to another one the next night, we headed home. Couldn't fault the grounds, views & hiking area.
