Rats in restaurant On arrival the hotel is really beautiful - a small oasis tucked away with gorgeous colonial style. The reception staff were really lovely and made us feel welcome. The room was really nice - but there were a few things we noticed (which we let slide at the start) - massive dirty lipstick mark on one of our water glasses, filthy lampshades above the bathroom sinks, bed linen that didn’t feel particularly fresh and the robes as well had a slight greyish colour rather than bright white which they were meant to be. These were all minor things at the start which we didn’t even mention to each other but did notice. We then had our first night at the cocktail bar where our drink was served by the lovely barman (very polite and smily) - as we were drinking we saw a huge rat run across the terrace - we decided it was an island and maybe this is normal (although we really weren’t happy about it). We then were dining within the restaurant and again a huge rat was running towards the table. For us, this is not ok. We asked to move tables as we saw a rat and the waiters barely acknowledged it - didn’t offer any apology and then proceeded to avoid our table for the rest of the night. We informed the manager the next day who assured us he was aware and the rat had been caught, and to “give it a chance”. We weren’t offered so much as a complimentary drink. After dining in the restaurant again the second night and again seeing a rat - for us it was time to check out. Not only is it unpleasant seeing rodents running around while eating but I would say it’s a hygiene issue and makes me question the cleanliness of the kitchen and the safety of the food. The only concession we were offered was to not pay for the remaining nights that we would not be staying for. Really disappointing. On hindsight some things we would add about the whole experience: - Not a 5 star in terms of food, service or cleanliness - Staff really hit and miss - some very friendly some really rude and unhelpful - Rooms didn’t feel clean - Food was average - nothing felt fresh including breakfast - Quite stingey with water - water not replaced within our room (had to ask for it) We are now staying at a different hotel and haven’t seen one rat, so don’t think this is “just an island thing” as the manager stated. The service and food are also worlds apart which has really solidified that our review of 20 degres sud as completely justified - not a 5 star experience whatsoever.

The friendly and professional staff were amazing at every hour, even with our late evening arrival. The facilities were beautifully designed and very well-maintained. Our room was spotless clean and had a welcoming feel. We ate at the large, main restaurant only for breakfast, but it had every food you can imagine, all presented nicely and very fresh. Even with a busy buffet, it stayed clean and organized. We booked dinner at ”East” the first night and the food and atmosphere was so good, we booked again for our final evening. The service was amazing and we met with the chef our final night when he prepared a special selection of sample plates. We also ate at the The Beach Restaurant, but not as impressed. It was busy, noisy with slower, cooler service. The menu had some fun selections, so we found plenty to eat. For our afternoon cocktails and snacks, we spent time with Abi at the Maison Lux cafe and bar - our favorite part of the hotel! Abi was the most attentive, gracious host and was an excellent representative of first class service at this hotel. The spa provided excellent massage services, but we were a little disappointed with the hot tub/ jacuzzi. It was cold and surprisingly stained and worn-looking compared to the rest of the excellent facilities. The steam room and sauna were nicely maintained and worked well. I usually try different places when I travel, but I hope to return to Lux le Morne again for a longer stay.

An amazing hotel right on the water with every room facing the water. The staff are friendly and always willing to help. Beautiful big rooms with lovely balconies. The dinner and breakfast were also really good, with a great variety and a lovely outdoor area to sit at. I do however think the cleaning staff need to take a bit more care when cleaning. We were there for 6 nights and 3 of the nights we had to phone housekeeping because we did not have towels, or we did not get toilet paper, or we did not get our bath robes… and then housekeeping took at least 20-30minutes to bring the items. The other thing was that they put a single duvet into a double duvet - so when you are sleeping there are many times when you only have a sheet and no duvet. Maybe change that. Otherwise I really can’t complain about anything. There are plenty of beach chairs and there were always chairs available and it was an amazing and relaxing place.

En la esquina está lleno de arte y hay sorpresas. No es el tipo de hotel de lujo de alto nivel que usted tiene básicamente las expectativas. Aquí está la residencia de adultos, el diseño de ideas y instalaciones son muy compatibles con las necesidades de los no padres, cómodo + personalidad + cuidado de los ojos + ojo + entretenimiento Higiene: El hotel está limpio en todas partes. Aunque la zona pública o la habitación, la playa está limpiando todo el día (excepto por la noche) No hay productos plásticos para el diseño de la idea de todo lo que se aplica al principio de la protección de la naturaleza. Yo mismo traje el saco de la zapata. Ambiente: el hotel en su conjunto es la existencia de una obra de arte.El estilo mediterráneo es color: azul + marrón + color amarillo + blanco y negro, junto con la playa de arena blanca + agua de los mares de mino ¿Hay más maravilloso que este color???La fotografía es genial, especialmente cuando la fotografía es alta (eso es bueno en el cielo, el sol es más poderoso para explicar el encanto de la ciudad natal del cielo) Servicio: La mayoría de ellos siguen siendo especialmente satisfechos, ha habido una pequeña distorsión, pero el gerente ha ayudado a resolverla, y el resultado es bueno! Me alegro de encontrar a un administrador tan sincero, no me importa la confianza de cinco casas! ¡Hemos establecido cinco habitaciones para la familia junto con mi señor. Hay una tienda aquí, todas las cosas que venden en su propio hotel, ropa, joyas son muy bonitas, compré muchas, algunas son huérfanas, deberían hacerte único. Beautiful location awesome property we loved it. One improvement can be, include Indian food in their breakfast buffet and Dinner buffet so that we don't end up disappointed with food next time with which we were quite disappointed this time. If not authentic Indian food atleast veg pizza will work, as most of the Indians like pizza.

El RIU Turquoise fue, sin duda, una de las mejores estancias que he tenido. Las habitaciones eran increíbles: amplias, modernas y siempre impecables. Se notaba el esmero con el que se mantenía todo a un nivel altísimo. La playa es preciosa, con agua cristalina y un ambiente muy relajado, y la zona de la piscina es igual de impresionante: mucho espacio, un ambiente genial y perfecta para desconectar. El spa también fue un punto fuerte, un lugar ideal para relajarse por completo. En cuanto a la comida, superó todas mis expectativas. La variedad de restaurantes ofrecía muchísimas opciones, y todo estaba buenísimo. El restaurante de carnes, en particular, destacó: sin duda, una de las mejores comidas del viaje. Pero lo que realmente hizo que la estancia fuera tan especial fue el personal. Todos, desde recepción hasta los equipos de los restaurantes, fueron muy amables, simpáticos y acogedores. El nivel de hospitalidad fue excepcional e hizo que toda la experiencia fuera muy agradable y sin complicaciones. En resumen, un hotel increíble con excelentes instalaciones, comida fantástica y un servicio realmente excepcional. Volvería sin dudarlo.

El checkin me llevó 1 hora. Cuando llegué al hotel, me pidieron que descanse un tiempo, alguien viniera a ayudarme a hacer el checkin. Estaba sentado en el lobby esperando que vinieran por 1 hora. Así lento. Pero otra experiencia es agradable.

I had a great stay at Royal Green Resort. The hotel is very clean, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The location is good if you have a car — about 57 minutes from the airport by car. I would like to thank Vedhna in particular; she was professional and very kind in all her interactions with me.
