The Solymar beach resort is not the most expensive resort in the Hurghada/Safaga area, but it’s also not the cheapest. Because of this, we were expecting it to be quite middle-of-the-range in terms of quality. At every turn, we were pleasantly surprised and delighted. The staff were friendly and courteous - whether at the reception, in the restaurant, or walking past someone watering the grass, you are guaranteed a friendly greeting. Everyone is quick to know their customers - after just a day in our usual spot on the beach, Ahmed knew our usual order. The hyper-energetic Magic Entertainment team members were also quick to build rapport and make us feel included in the resort vibes. We plunged immediately into extreme relaxation with a “honeymoon massage” at the spa, which included time in the dry and steam saunas, a special hammam exfoliation ritual on a heated marble slab, a full-body Dead Sea mud wrap, and an oil massage. The masseuses were talkative and playful - possibly not to everyone’s taste, but this seems to be the Egyptian way and certainly got me smiling and giggling along. There is not a moment of the day when you might be at risk of going hungry. From the early breakfast in the main restaurant, to the late breakfast at the beach, to the drinks and snacks on offer throughout the day at the pool bar and restaurant, there is always a wide array of quality F&B choices. There is some variation from day -to-day options, and it’s always worth checking out the “fresh-from-the-grill” area to see what the day’s speciality may be. Part of the stay includes one complementary meal at one of the two a la carte restaurants (Italian/Egyptian) where the food is a level or two up from what’s served in the buffets. Go hungry - the Egyptian meal included a starter of hot and cold mezze, a soup, a main course and a dessert (with alternative plant-based and kiddies’ menus). The resort has done a lot to ensure that it is eco friendly. Apart from the usual request to hang up towels to save water on unnecessary cleaning, they also purify their own water, which is left in your room in chilled glass bottles (it tastes a little weird, but it’s good for the planet). Overall, highly recommend the Solymar resort.

The location and the beach at Sheraton Soma Bay are truly beautiful, and the welcome upon arrival was friendly and attentive. The property is well maintained, but overall it feels quite outdated and somewhat old-fashioned. Unfortunately, we experienced several service and organizational issues during our stay. At the beach bar, we ordered a milkshake but were served a juice instead without being asked — we were later told there was an issue with the ice. Instead of informing us, the staff simply replaced the drink without consultation. At dinner, incorrect dishes were brought to our table, and when we pointed it out, we were told the mistake was due to our ordering. One evening, a staff member pressured us to pay immediately and insisted on accompanying us to the reception to clarify the charge, even though we explained that we wanted to charge it to the room. At reception, we were told that charging to the room was perfectly fine. At check-out, we also discovered that one dinner had been charged twice. In addition, our room key stopped working several times on the day of departure — even though we had paid extra for a late check-out. The food and beverage offering is disappointing. The selection is very limited, especially for non-all-inclusive guests, with very few healthy options. The bar menus — both at the beach bar and the main bar — are closer to snack-bar level than to a hotel of this category. All-inclusive wine is served from cartons, and plastic water bottles are placed on the dinner tables. At breakfast, fresh juices often ran out quickly and were not refilled. The restaurant is frequently overcrowded, making it difficult to find a table. Compared to other hotels in Soma Bay, this property offers noticeably less atmosphere, entertainment, and overall quality. In Conclusion: Beautiful location and beach, but service, organization, and overall standards unfortunately do not meet expectations for a hotel in this category. There are clearly better alternatives in Soma Bay.

We stayed in Jaz hotel for 4 days in early April in a deluxe pool-view queen room. Positives: - The hotel is situated in a very convenient location, on the touristic promenade and quite close to the airport.  - The pools are great, the hotels has in total 6 pools and even though we sometimes had difficulty finding an empty spot to sit at the main pool, we could always find a spot on the other pools where the atmosphere was equally amazing and very relaxing. - The restaurant quality is top notch, one of the best culinary experiences I have ever had anywhere, with a big variety across the different days, along with a focus on egyptian food and seafood, which i appreciated. The restaurant’s head chef himself supervised the dinner serving and gave us daily recommendations. Negatives: - The staff is helpful but not as overtly friendly and willing to help as we had experienced in other hotels. Service can sometimes be quite slow. - The room furniture, even though it’s modern, looks a bit used and is not very well maintained. - The rooms are clean, but again not at the same level of cleanliness you would expect at this price level. - Internet speed is quite low (2-3 Mbps), so no streaming possible - There are daily nightly entertainment programs, however, they are not as varied or extensive as other hotels i had experienced. I got the impression that the hotel is more targeted towards older travelers who prefer the peace and quiet and don’t care about nightly activities, but it may be because of the time of the year I visited in. Overall, it was a good experience and the negatives I listed can be considered nitpicky, but honestly, at this price level, I would expect a flawless experience and I have had better experiences at this price level in Hurghada. The only clear positive for Jaz is the quality of the restaurant.

El Regina es un hotel básico con todo incluido en pleno centro de Hurghada. Está a poca distancia a pie del puerto deportivo y hay bares, restaurantes, etc., justo en la puerta. La mayoría del personal es amable y las propinas te ayudan a disfrutar más (como en la mayoría de los lugares de Egipto). Samir, quien limpió nuestro bungalow, fue absolutamente fantástico. Cada día dejaba algo en la habitación que nos ayudó a disfrutar de nuestra estancia. Desde una tetera (poco común en Egipto con todo incluido) hasta zapatillas bordadas del hotel y una sonrisa maravillosa todos los días. Espero que la gerencia lo tenga en alta estima, ya que es simplemente genial. El bungalow era bastante espacioso, pero la ducha era diminuta, las camas eran cómodas y había muchas toallas limpias. La comida es básica y no está al nivel que he probado en otros hoteles de Hurghada, pero siempre había algo para picar. La cerveza se sirve en vasos pequeños de una botella y todos los licores son locales. Si, como yo, necesitas café temprano por la mañana (antes de las 7), tendrás que pagarlo. Tienen una máquina en una pequeña cafetería y en los chiringuitos de la piscina y la playa, pero no hay café de máquina disponible mientras se sirve el desayuno. En su lugar, se sirve en una tetera enorme y no es muy agradable. Si llegas antes de las 15:00, no tienes derecho a comer ni cenar después de las 12:00 de tu último día de salida; te cortan la pulsera al salir. Si llegas después de las 15:00, puedes obtener un cupón en recepción que te permite comer. Nunca he tenido esto en ningún otro hotel de Egipto (esta fue mi decimoctava visita) y le da un toque más básico al hotel. Si buscas un hotel económico para disfrutar del sol, el Regina podría ser ideal.

Antes de reservar en el Steigenberger Aqua Magic Hurghada, investigamos: vimos videos, leímos reseñas y ajustamos nuestras expectativas. Al estar catalogado como un hotel de 5 estrellas en Google y TripAdvisor, esperábamos una experiencia de lujo. Sin embargo, al llegar, nos dimos cuenta rápidamente de que la realidad estaba muy por debajo de la calificación. 1. El ”todo incluido” que no es tan ”todo incluido” El hotel anuncia seis restaurantes, pero el paquete ”todo incluido” solo da acceso a tres, e incluso estos tienen limitaciones estrictas. Debes hospedarte al menos cinco noches para poder reservar; de lo contrario, el buffet es tu única opción garantizada. Pero incluso si cumples con los requisitos, conseguir una reserva es una odisea, y una vez dentro, te presionan para que pagues extra por los servicios que no están incluidos en el paquete. La insistencia en ofrecer productos adicionales es constante, desde vinos de alta gama hasta ciertos platos, convirtiendo lo que debería ser una comida relajante en una venta agresiva. Ah, ¿y si esperabas un zumo natural con el desayuno? Se cobra aparte. 2. Instalaciones: Aceptables, pero no dignas de un 5 estrellas ✔ La piscina, la zona de playa y el salón están bien mantenidos. ✔ Los bares están abiertos todo el día y el personal se esfuerza por mantener las instalaciones limpias. ✖ Algunas habitaciones muestran claros signos de abandono, lo que le resta mucho a la imagen de un verdadero hotel de 5 estrellas. Si este hotel fuera realmente de 5 estrellas, no habría problemas de mantenimiento visibles, un servicio deficiente ni una calidad inconsistente en general.

泄湖景完全是來搞笑的，所謂泄湖就是個小水泡，陽臺中間還隔着一段距離和樹擋着，跟其他評論一樣，存在一定的歧視，但是大部份工作人員還是挺友善的，雖然這本來就是他們應該做的。中間想加錢升級海景，帶我們去看的也還是一個稍微大一點的水泡而已，工作人員告訴我這已經是最好的海景房了，最後並沒有升級，泳池開放時間特別晚關閉時間卻很早，如果要出海這家酒店完全沒必要，吃的甚至不如國內100塊錢人民幣的自助餐，基本都靠吃麪包吃飽的，我們拿行李小費給了一美金態度還可以，同行的另一對沒有零錢了給了10埃磅態度就很差，對於一家五星級酒店這種事不應該發生，還是建議加錢選擇更好的全包酒店，或者普通的全包，想省錢或者出海沒有時間在酒店那就市區選擇一家便宜的就好了，這邊出行也並不方便，最後，我們check out的時候工作人員態度非常好，忘記問他的名字了，當看到我們自己拿行李過來了一直在向我道歉，告訴我他們應該安排擺渡車過來接我們的，海邊和泳池邊工作人員也很好，太陽下山後我們想去游泳，海邊的工作人員告訴我太陽下山後海里很危險，並且開玩笑説會有鯊魚，泳池邊的工作人員很耐心的告訴我泳池關閉了，要消毒，會傷眼睛，總的來説，真的不值這個價

Hotel estilo resort con varias piscinas, cerca de la playa, a unos pasos de la playa, puedes unirte a un grupo de buceo en el hotel, el tamaño de la habitación está bien, cada una con balcón privado, los camareros son muy entusiastas y receptivos, el buffet no está del todo en línea con los gustos chinos, todos son gustos árabes y europeos y americanos, un poco desacostumbrados

Este hotel con todo incluido ofrece una excelente relación calidad-precio, lo que me permitió finalmente descansar un poco después de mi agotador viaje cultural por Hurghada. Mucha gente dice que el bufé es mediocre, pero a mí personalmente me pareció bastante bueno. Quizás sea porque no había comido bien durante mi estancia en Egipto, así que un bufé fue un verdadero placer. Hay un pequeño supermercado justo al lado, lo que facilita mucho las compras. El único inconveniente es la pésima conexión wifi; era prácticamente inutilizable.
