Palazzo Artemide - VRetreats

Bonito hotel, excelente ubicación, pero muchos problemas. En primer lugar, encontrar el hotel es complicado ya que está en una calle peatonal y hay muchos sentidos. Me tomó 2 horas encontrar el hotel en nuestro automóvil, algo que podría haberse evitado fácilmente si el hotel me hubiera ofrecido un mapa simple o indicaciones cuando me comuniqué con ellos sobre el estacionamiento antes de mi visita. Entonces no se ofreció servicio de aparcacoches, así que me dieron una multa de aparcamiento mientras llevaba mis maletas a la habitación. Ok, no es un factor decisivo. El registro estuvo bien, pero nuevamente el joven miembro del personal tuvo que ser interrogado para obtener información, como ¿a qué hora es el desayuno? ¿Puedo tener otra llave? etcétera etcétera.. La habitación estaba bien y limpia, aunque un poco anticuada. Sin embargo, el desayuno no fue el festín descrito en otras reseñas. Una selección mínima de fruta fresca y solo una hogaza de pan fresco. El personal simplemente puso un mantel sobre el desayuno y lo quitó a la mañana siguiente, por lo que los mismos pasteles viejos y rancios. No es una experiencia de 5 o incluso 4 estrellas.

I loved everything about this property! Everything was perfect. The hotel is beautiful as are the rooms. The staff couldn't be more gracious. We truly enjoyed our stay and would happily stay again.

The hotel is perfectly clean with beautiful furnishings, flooring, et cetera. There is no lift which is a major negative. The location is perfect practically attached to the duomo and on the main square. The breakfast buffet was one of the smaller ones I've seen in Italy or Sicily. The staff was helpful and friendly enough perhaps a little bit aloof. My classic room had no view and I looked into a tiny unkept courtyard, although there was a banana tree out there. The AC fan had an annoying sound like there was a wind storm going on outside. So a clean beautiful building and rooms but I found it a little sterile and the negatives of no lift and light breakfast would cause me to choose a different place next time. As for the view, other rooms had balconies on the Piazza so that would be good, but my room felt too isolated and was at the top of 3 flights of stairs straight up, then you had to walk down a few additional stairs to reach the door. This is just my honest report of the plusses and minuses.

great location , excellent staff. rooms are very loud, can hear everything on the street below and in the hallways. beds and pillows very stiff and uncomfortable. no water for guests in the room.

Super helpful staff, comfortable and clean room, nice restaurant. Good location. What's not to like?

Hotel Roma is very difficult to find, but it’s in a great location in the city. The only way to visit with a car is really to use their valet service which is 30 Euros per day. The rooms are small for the cost, but clean and comfortable. The staff is friendly, but slow to respond to requests (safe malfunctioned in room, bath towels were not left after cleaning). breakfast was excellent, but it’s difficult to get service for coffee (yes, multiple America cups) on the patio. The dinner menu is very limited, and unless you plan to order dinner, expect some push back for having a drink on the patio, regardless of the time. Dinner menu is quite limited, but there are so many other options that it’s not an issue.

Staff went above and beyond. Parking - valet for 30 euros a day, which was a great price considering. Very hard to drive to hotel through tiny streets and Google Maps lead us astray. Staff packed us a breakfast for our early departure. Comfy room and bed.

Hotel Roma is a very comfortable hotel in the heart of Ortigia. It’s a perfect base for walking around the old town. Great breakfasts and a lovely outside patio. The staff are very helpful.
