We had just stayed at the hotel's 4☆ sister hotel Miramonti in Bango Di Romango and were so impressed with the service and food. It was an accident to book Grand Hotel Da Vinci. We were hoping for great things and the hotel lobby and enterence were lovely. We arrived at the impressive gates to the hotel to be told we had to go down a side street to what looked like a piece of waste land. OK, not a big issue. You then have to walk round the back of the hotel, where the staff were all smoking and shouting, where the workmen and bins were. And walk round a tented part of the hotel held together with wood. Not a great first impression. The reception staff were friendly but more proficient than affording personal service, so different to the Miramonti. We were told the restaurant was open for dinner from 19:30-21:00. Later we went back to the reception to book a table for dinner to be told, the restaurant was closed for a private party and we could eat in the room or lobby bar. The lobby bar had no character and literally is just part of the lobby. What 5 ☆ doesn't have another restaurant or the facility to put another room together for guests to dine in?? We were not amused. The room was spacious but a bit well!! Italian OTT. The view was over a roof top. There was 1 welcome cake for two people. No complimentary water nor tea or coffee facilities. Again not really 5 ☆ The terrace and outside pool was wonderful. Really gorgeous and well set out. Must be wonderful in summer. After the wonderful spa at the Miramonti and the thermal spa, we were so looking forward to the pool and spa as it looked stunning in the picture, from a distance it looked nice but it really need attention. Total lack of maintenance and care. See photos. At breakfast, it was 'adequate ', but as there were only a few guests there, it was a good opportunity for the staff service to shine, but we had to ask twice for a person to cook the omelettes, when the waiting staff entered the kitchen their was loud shouting, laughing etc as if there were no guests present. Very bad impression. What makes a hotel 5☆ is not the size of rooms, not the building or stunning external pool it is; the total attention to detail and to the customer experience and this hotel doesn't have that. It has the appearance of a 5☆ but for Northern Europeans, used to attentive and responsive service and an attention to detail, it is more a 3.5☆.

This hotel is perfectly located between city centre and the beach. It’s also easy access to train station (10min walk) and bus 9 (airport). The bedroom was fine and bathroom was roomy and shower was good. Air con was pleasant. I didn’t try breakfast or restaurant. The safe had no keys but we eventually found them. My two quibbles: no one answered any of my emails so I had to call to double check they weren’t shut due to COVID 19 or something ; (annoying!) the cleaning starts at 7am, and frankly, the maid is the noisiest person ever. Imagine a hoover on the room next to you at 7am when you went to bed at 2am! The walls are paper thin and you hear the neighbours, which is not great, but cleaning staff can be scheduled for a more godly hour. I had the worst 3 mornings ever, up hours before I intended to be. As many travellers complained and clearly the hotel doesn’t care, I am giving only 3 stars.

Excelente hotel con excelente servicio. Nos quedamos allí con un animal de compañía, y no teníamos problemas. Los empleados fueron arriba y más allá para cuidar a los huéspedes. Nos quedamos allí sólo una noche, pero la experiencia fue maravillosa. Teníamos la habitación con una hermosa vista. Lo siento, pero aparte de la limpieza en las habitaciones y la ubicación, para mí y para mi familia es un hotel que debe olvidarse. Hemos tenido la pensión completa para un acuerdo con la empresa de la que mi marido depende. Presupuesto que me fui con silla de ruedas cuando antes de las vacaciones caí y me rompí la rodilla. Avisados días antes nos dieron la habitación en el tercer piso y el fondo del pasillo. Viva quien tiene problemas a caminar!!! El ascensor no está bien, así que mi marido tenía que cerrar la silla de ruedas cada vez para entrar y yo tenía que estar en un ángulo con una pierna sola con estampillas hasta el tercer piso y viceversa. En la sala de almuerzo comí lejos de la mesa porque no había lugar para la silla de ruedas ...otro desastre pero me apropié. Otro desastre el restaurante, comida cruda y a veces sin sabor, fruta con frecuencia falta. Dolci sólo la noche, siempre los mismos y a veces incluso descongelados en el tiempo para comer; a la mesa de cada vez se preguntaba las posadas adecuadas para la comida, las pastas y el queso. Organización en una horrible sala, llegaste primero y serviste por último .....no hablamos de la menú que te hizo compilar la misma mañana y a menudo no correspondía a lo que se comunicó porque en el proveedor no había entregado en el tiempo!!!! No voy a contar más episodios como ascensor un día sin funcionamiento y quedó más de media hora cerrada en un camión. Claro que ya no era fácil para mí y luego en estas condiciones aún peor. Para ser un Hotel de tres estrellas.... diría que una es más que suficiente. Sin duda, debe olvidarse en todos los sentidos.

I stayed at the Hotel St.Gregory for the first time and had a wonderful experience. The breakfast is very plentiful and delicious. The pool is brand new, always clean and perfect to spend an afternoon in peace. The staff was very friendly and helpful, they also recommended great restaurants nearby. The location was great, the view from the room was stunning. I have nothing negative to say, our stay was perfect. Super recommended!🤩

L'hotel ci è stato assegnato dopo aver acquistato un pacchetto per capodanno. Da fuori appare immediatamente vecchio e tenuto male. Alla reception siamo stati accolti con umorismo e battute che definire poco gradite è un eufemismo. Una volta entrati in stanza ci siamo trovati in una lercissima topaia. Sia i muri che le tende presentavano enormi macchie di chissà cosa. La cassaforte malamente appesa a un muro e il frigobar sporco. Sfortunatamente questo è nulla in confronto al bagno. Dalla descrizione dell'hotel sembra quasi che la mancanza di un box doccia sia un pregio quando invece devi praticamente lavarti sul lavandino. Una schifosissima tenda divide il wc e il bidet dal lavandino/doccia, se non rimossa te la ritrovi in faccia qualora tu debba usare uno dei due. Punto a favore il fatto che se si toglie la tenda si può facilmente usare il lavandino e il wc contemporaneamente dato che seduti sull'ultimo ci si trova praticamente con la faccia nel primo. Unica nota positiva in questo mare di sporcizia il balcone spazioso (anch'esso tenuto malissimo)
