I was stunned by this hotel. Set in rural Portugal, near the Spanish border, this spa resort is beautiful. Very modern, clean, well equipped throughout, incredibly welcoming staff and superb food in the restaurant. The hotel is the perfect mix of old and new as it is set on an old vineyard, with modern extensions which complement the original 1700's building. Outside the back side is a huge stone terrace which extends the whole width of the 1700's original building with views of the mountains and spa pool and beautiful gardens. The old part of the hotel is magnificent, but we also enjoyed the comfort of our modern room which had a huge terrace overlooking the valley. Everyone working there was friendly and efficient, and the owner spoke English perfectly. I would really recommend this place to anyone visiting northern Portugal. It made for a great relaxing break for my older parents in there 80’s to relax and enjoy the slower pace from Lisbon and before moving on to Porto on a 12 day vacation. The attention to detail and 'nothing's a problem' attitude from everyone we come into contact with is just exceptional. The breakfast is plentiful and has a great selection. We were very happy with the breakfast which offered a large variety of fruit and breads, cheese, ham, several types of jam, as well as cereal and yogurt. The evening meals are so good that you can't stop eating! The manager/owner, Fernando, is the most gracious host that will attend to your every need, while assuring your quality experience is filled with lasting memories and a strong desire to return again. In the evenings we dined in the hotel restaurant. Fernando was truly a phenomenal host, who made us feel welcome. On one of the evenings, he started us off with local sausages and cheese along with some local port from the local vineyard. He made excellent recommendations for our wines and did not disappoint with his selections. The food was delicious. We ate there every night for 4 nights, and everything kept meeting and exceeding our expectations. The beef is something that the region is known for, and it was delicious. Fernando also took us on a tour of the impressive 17th century wine making that uses filtration and gravity. The preservation of the original wine making is located in the lower area that is used for wedding receptions and large parties. The way it is incorporated into the new modern areas was impressive. I will be visiting Portugal in the future and will be re-visiting Fernando's Hotel Rural Casas Novas. We truly enjoyed our stayed here while we visited local vineyards, Chaves and Peneda-Geres National Park.

Me he alojado Caritas vexes en este hotel y cada Vez que voy salgo más contento. La habitación es muy cómoda, amplia y cama confortable. Limpio y muy tranquilo. El personal de recepción como de la cafetería y desayuno muy agradable. Es un hotel al que seguro, voy a repetir. Por cierto, detrás del hotel hay una fuente de agua que sale a 70 grados, es muy típico ir con un vasito a tomar un poco de ella, comentan en el hotel que es muy buena para la salud.

Nosotros hicimos una estancia de relax y el sitio es magnífico, la atención del personal de 10 y las comidas exquisitas hay un montón de rutas se senderismo y para bici, el el spa fue todo amabilidad, desde luego que volveremos. También había campo de golf , muy bueno, pistas de padel y de tenis. El sitio merece la pena. La relación calidad precio perfecta

Pequeño hotel ideal para disfrutar de la tranquilidad de la villa de Vidago, paseos, aguas y golf, o como punto de parada en itinerarios por la célebre Estrada Nacional 2. Instalaciones, limpieza y atención correctísimas. Ambiente acogedor y respetuoso, acorde con la preciosa localización (cuya historia se comprende aún mejor visitando el puesto de turismo) y sin duda favorecido por el cuidado que cada persona del staff pone en lo que hace. Acostumbro a pasar varias semanas al año en el municipio de Chaves, y desde la primera vez que elegí alojarme algunos días en Vidago he repetido siempre (incluso en los dos veranos covid) en este hotel, en principio por su localización y después por el ambiente y la atención ya referidos. Consejo: Si necesitas algo, por ejemplo orientaciones o el famoso secador de pelo ausente en el cuarto de baño, solicítalo, y atenderán tu petición razonablemente y con profesionalidad. Si viajas en modo irresponsable o con niños demasiado revolucionados, tal vez este no es el lugar.

Um hotel de 4* que poderia dizer, rapidamente, que espreita as 5, pois era merecido, pelo menos pela minha estadia muito positiva. Um hotel situado num local calmo e com bastante estacionamento, sendo um local de qualidade, moderno e apelativo. Os quartos são modernos e confortáveis, faltando apenas luz no teto, não sendo a dos móveis suficientes, a meu ver. Tinha ao dispor de uma boa cama, canais de TV, WC moderna e com banheira, no fundo, tudo excelente. No hotel em si, destaca-se um ginásio muito bom para um hotel, piscina muito grande, mas que as aulas a crianças torna o momento de lazer menos prazeroso, por conta do barulho. Por fim, o hotel em si é muito agradável com detalhes minimalistas, mas é moderno e funcional, onde o pequeno almoço é também uma variável positiva perante a diversidade que se encontra e frescura dos alimentos.

Ha sido una experiencia estupenda. Las casas del bosque ofrecen una experiencia única de contacto con la naturaleza y aislamiento con todos los lujos. Disponen de cocina, frigorífico, agua Pedras Salgadas gratis, bien acondicionadas y aisladas de forma independiente. El parque termal, que se cierra por las noches, ofrece al visitante, y al que no lo es, una experiencia única de visitar las fuentes termales y de disfrutar del aire libre y de los servicios de balneario y cafetería. El parque sería parecido al Retiro en Madrid, pero en el que solo se escucha a la naturaleza y está salpicado con casas del bosque y casas en los árboles, sin duda una experiencia única. El personal del hotel es muy servicial y atento, ayudando al viajero en todo momento.
