I'm a Korean tourist on a family trip with my wife and two daughters. Out of a total of six days, we stayed at a hotel near May Fourth Square for the first three nights and this hotel for the remaining two nights. This hotel is located in Qingdao's Chengyang District, making it a better location for exploring the city and Jimo Ancient Town than hotels in the old city. It also offers easy access to the airport on the last day. It's also conveniently located for jjimjilbangs, Korean restaurants, and massage services in the old city. While hotels near the old city are somewhat expensive due to the many major tourist attractions in the old city, this hotel, despite its excellent facilities, was relatively affordable. If you're visiting Qingdao, splitting your stay between the old city and this hotel would be a great option.

The staff was welcoming and quick to assist, ensuring a pleasant start to my stay. Their friendliness and professionalism set the tone for a comfortable visit. The room was clean and well-maintained, which immediately provided a sense of comfort and relaxation. I appreciated the simplicity and practicality of the room’s design, which focused on essential amenities. Despite its central location, the hotel offered a peaceful and quiet environment, allowing for uninterrupted rest after a busy day. The pricing of the Yuemingze Hotel is very competitive, making it an attractive option for budget-conscious travelers. While the hotel does not offer breakfast, the surrounding area has plenty of dining options to explore, so I didn’t find it to be an inconvenience. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Yuemingze Hotel. Its strategic location, alongside the ease of check-in, cleanliness, and serene atmosphere, made it an excellent choice for visitors to Qingdao. It’s ideal for those who prioritize value and quiet without sacrificing comfort. I would recommend it to anyone visiting the area, especially if breakfast is not a necessity in your accommodation choice.

First, the good points - Room & Location: The room and location are totally worth it. If you're a foreigner like me, it might be a little hard to get there. But once you arrive and see the view and the room, it's absolutely worth it. -Service: The male staff at the restaurant is very polite, quick, polite warm and thoughtful. · The driver and the auntie at the restaurant are very warm and friendly. Now, what needs improvement The front desk female staff came across as unprofessional. I booked a 45-minute singing bowl session starting at 12:15, and then booked a photographer for 13:00. But at 12:48, the front desk lady called me and even called the singing bowl teacher — while my session was still going on. I think this is basic knowledge for front desk staff: a singing bowl session requires a calm, quiet environment, and my session hadn't even ended yet — it wasn't time for the photographer. After my session ended and I could finally check my phone, But when I got to the front desk, The photographer already left because he was in a hurry. But he arrived at 12:45 — and then said he was in a hurry? The front desk staff's poor coordination not only ruined my need for a peaceful healing session, but also made the hotel's ”photographer service” gift completely useless. At first I thought I would come back to stay here again. But after this experience of inefficient coordination, I'll really have to reconsider whether I want to stay here next time.

I stayed here for one night as a solo traveller and found it suitable fir a gateway. The location is the real highlight, just across the road from a beautiful beach, and only a few minutes by bus from the entrance to the Laoshan scenic area. The room was confortable overall. The hotel provides several disposable towels, which are quite thin, but sufficient for a short stay. Do note that access to the rooms is via stairs, which can be inconvenient if you have large luggage. The walls seemed rather thin, so noise from the corridor and the stairwell was quite noticeable. The window opens onto a small terrace where a dog is kept in a cage and can be heard whining. Additionally, the blind was not working properly, making it difficult to open the window.

The hotel provides 24 hours check in, plus free airport pick up and drop off service. Extremely convenient, especially my plane arrived at 1am in the money. Called the hotel via internet (as my sim only has data, no phone number) to the hotel using the internet call function provided by trip.com app, the car arrived within 10 mins. The people there do not speak English. The hotel room is very clean and spacious but does have cigarette odder like many other hotel rooms in China. Also the place does not have lift. None of those was particularly problematic for me as I just need a place to lie down for a few hours before my next leg. For $15 Australian dollar, it is an incredible good vale for money!
