Rats in restaurant On arrival the hotel is really beautiful - a small oasis tucked away with gorgeous colonial style. The reception staff were really lovely and made us feel welcome. The room was really nice - but there were a few things we noticed (which we let slide at the start) - massive dirty lipstick mark on one of our water glasses, filthy lampshades above the bathroom sinks, bed linen that didn’t feel particularly fresh and the robes as well had a slight greyish colour rather than bright white which they were meant to be. These were all minor things at the start which we didn’t even mention to each other but did notice. We then had our first night at the cocktail bar where our drink was served by the lovely barman (very polite and smily) - as we were drinking we saw a huge rat run across the terrace - we decided it was an island and maybe this is normal (although we really weren’t happy about it). We then were dining within the restaurant and again a huge rat was running towards the table. For us, this is not ok. We asked to move tables as we saw a rat and the waiters barely acknowledged it - didn’t offer any apology and then proceeded to avoid our table for the rest of the night. We informed the manager the next day who assured us he was aware and the rat had been caught, and to “give it a chance”. We weren’t offered so much as a complimentary drink. After dining in the restaurant again the second night and again seeing a rat - for us it was time to check out. Not only is it unpleasant seeing rodents running around while eating but I would say it’s a hygiene issue and makes me question the cleanliness of the kitchen and the safety of the food. The only concession we were offered was to not pay for the remaining nights that we would not be staying for. Really disappointing. On hindsight some things we would add about the whole experience: - Not a 5 star in terms of food, service or cleanliness - Staff really hit and miss - some very friendly some really rude and unhelpful - Rooms didn’t feel clean - Food was average - nothing felt fresh including breakfast - Quite stingey with water - water not replaced within our room (had to ask for it) We are now staying at a different hotel and haven’t seen one rat, so don’t think this is “just an island thing” as the manager stated. The service and food are also worlds apart which has really solidified that our review of 20 degres sud as completely justified - not a 5 star experience whatsoever.

This resort is an absolute gem! The staff were incredibly warm and welcoming, making us feel right at home. The views were breathtaking—every glance out the window felt like a postcard come to life. Its location was ideal, offering both convenience and a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle. The serene, quiet atmosphere made it the perfect place to unwind and recharge. Highly recommend for anyone seeking a relaxing getaway!

It’s a little adventurous to get here (only possible with own car or their van on request). But the views from their restaurant and rooms are extremely stunning!!!! The service is a bit slow and if there is something or you need something you have to call the reception with your own phone. Also, wifi connectivity can vary depending on the weather up there. Be aware, no kids allowed and the terrain is difficult for people who have difficulty with walking. At the end of the day you come here for the paradise view, which is just mesmerizing!

Hotel fabuloso. Elegimos el régimen de todo incluido, lo cual fue una buena decisión considerando que no había bares ni restaurantes a poca distancia del hotel. Nos alojamos en una suite junior Beach Bliss, que era amplia, estaba bien equipada y tenía una cama comodísima. Las bebidas y la comida incluidas en el paquete de todo incluido eran excelentes, con licores internacionales. Los cócteles estaban entre los mejores que hemos probado. Las opciones gastronómicas también eran de primera, con mucha variedad. Todos los restaurantes, incluido el buffet principal, eran buenos, y nuestros restaurantes de especialidades favoritos fueron Jade (asiático) y Waves (mariscos). El spa estaba bien y no probamos el gimnasio ni los deportes acuáticos. La excursión gratuita de snorkel, la clase de cocina mauriciana y la noche de barbacoa en Waves fueron muy divertidas. Un agradecimiento especial a Geetanjalee por su fantástico trabajo manteniendo nuestra habitación impecable, a Akhilesh por sus habilidades para preparar cócteles y a Stephanie por su excelente trabajo como anfitriona de la clase de cocina. En resumen, una estancia fabulosa y la única sugerencia de mejora sería agilizar el proceso de registro y añadir algo más de variedad al entretenimiento nocturno.

The friendly and professional staff were amazing at every hour, even with our late evening arrival. The facilities were beautifully designed and very well-maintained. Our room was spotless clean and had a welcoming feel. We ate at the large, main restaurant only for breakfast, but it had every food you can imagine, all presented nicely and very fresh. Even with a busy buffet, it stayed clean and organized. We booked dinner at ”East” the first night and the food and atmosphere was so good, we booked again for our final evening. The service was amazing and we met with the chef our final night when he prepared a special selection of sample plates. We also ate at the The Beach Restaurant, but not as impressed. It was busy, noisy with slower, cooler service. The menu had some fun selections, so we found plenty to eat. For our afternoon cocktails and snacks, we spent time with Abi at the Maison Lux cafe and bar - our favorite part of the hotel! Abi was the most attentive, gracious host and was an excellent representative of first class service at this hotel. The spa provided excellent massage services, but we were a little disappointed with the hot tub/ jacuzzi. It was cold and surprisingly stained and worn-looking compared to the rest of the excellent facilities. The steam room and sauna were nicely maintained and worked well. I usually try different places when I travel, but I hope to return to Lux le Morne again for a longer stay.

Seemed like a new hotel with amazing service and very polite and courteous staff. Pricewise, the quality you get in this hotel surpasses many others that charge you twice as much. It's in a serene, quite, and beautiful area. Definitely a place to revisit!

Las instalaciones de las habitaciones son bastante antiguas, el restaurante Chopsticks es una completa decepción, el servicio es regular, la piscina es agradable, especialmente la piscina para adultos que es preciosa, ¡y el hotel es un lugar estupendo para ver el amanecer!

Beautiful location awesome property we loved it. One improvement can be, include Indian food in their breakfast buffet and Dinner buffet so that we don't end up disappointed with food next time with which we were quite disappointed this time. If not authentic Indian food atleast veg pizza will work, as most of the Indians like pizza.

I had a great stay at Royal Green Resort. The hotel is very clean, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The location is good if you have a car — about 57 minutes from the airport by car. I would like to thank Vedhna in particular; she was professional and very kind in all her interactions with me.
