設施：床品温暖，毛巾雪白，免費氣泡水、歡迎牛奶。有熱水壺，床頭USB插座。
餐點：早餐七八種套餐可選，全英式的非常豐盛，甚至可以選擇低卡咖啡、低卡茶！

UUsuario invitadoWe loved our stay at the guest house. Kirsty was really friendly and made us feel at home. Breakfast was brilliant and the decor was cool. Excellent location! Lovely and warm but we could turn the radiators down if we wanted to. Great views across the fields. Would come back thanks for having us!

UUsuario invitadoRum Doodle, well it was our first time at The Lakes and it certainly won't be our last! The location was just right with being part way between Windermere town and Bowness and was walkable to both. There were plenty of shops, bars and restaurants in walking distance as well as lake Windermere itself.
We found Rum Doodle with ease and was greeted at the door with a smile and friendly man (the owner but didn't catch his name). We were bought a fresh glass of apple and orange juice to our room which was refreshing after a long drive to Windermere. Our room was comfy, not too big or too small, a wardrobe, seating in the bay window, hairdryer, hot drink making facilities, wine glasses with cork screw and bottle opener. Very modern, clean and well presented bathroom with soft and fluffy towels, and a really nice shower. The bed was very comfortable and welcomed after a busy day exploring the surrounding area.
Breakfast was really good with cereal, fresh fruit and yogurt, toast, and then a choice of breakfast which were great too.
We had a pleasant and informative chat at breakfast with the lady that works there who gave us the heads up on some driving routes to try and avoid which was really useful.
After a day out exploring we went back to Rum Doodle to a cleaned room and freshly made bed with the tea and coffee replenished, so we were able to just drop and the bed with a nice cuppa and biscuit. Then out for a walk, some lovely food and a couple of drinks.
We couldn't recommend The Lakes and Rum Doodle enough! Well worth every penny

KKTtThe room was warm, clean and spacious. Staffs were cheerful. Location is great. Easy access to many attractions, such as the Bridge House, Orrest Head Viewpoint, Queen Adelaide's Hill. The breakfast is rich and they do veg breakfast.

UUsuario invitadoEl Macdonald Old England Hotel está bien situado, siendo sólo una piedra tirada del lago y las tiendas en Bowness.
El personal es amable y obligatorio y el servicio se ajusta a su actitud.
El desayuno es bueno, aunque el personal puede ser un poco lento en la rellena de los turísticos.
No hemos utilizado el spa, por lo que no podemos comentarlo.
En general, encontramos que el hotel tiene todas las instalaciones que buscamos y nos alegraría quedarnos de nuevo.

UUsuario invitadoWe absolutely loved Woodlands. The location in Windermere walk to village. 15 minute walk to Bowness. Easy driving distance of the national parks. Comfortable rooms. Enough rooms for bags. The full English breakfast is to die for. The staff are all friendly and professional. Would highly recommend staying at Woodlands.

KKristinMMy husband and I stayed here in one of the larger posh 4-poster bed rooms for 2 nights nights. It is an ideal location, being a very short walk from the village high street, across the road from the harbour with beautiful lake views, but tucked high enough away from any street noise. And because it's a proper hotel, the room we booked was large enough, and even had a bidet. There was adequate parking, a lovely full English breakfast buffet, and a fancy bar and restaurant onsite. The only downside was that the lift was broken, so we had to climb to the top floor many times a day, and construction was taking place on site, but that was quiet for us as our room was around the other side of the building. If you're there in the dead of summer, there was no AC. (Just a heads up in case you're from the states and used to it all hotel rooms) Not currently any pool or hot tub at the time of typing this.
I would definitely consider staying here again and would recommend it to my friends. 👍🏼

Yo estaba más descontento con un camarero masculino, su actitud era particularmente mala, supongo que era un ******, su actitud era realmente mala, he permanecido en tantas partes del mundo en hoteles y B&Bs, esta actitud de camarero masculino fue la peor, Entré en el área de personal es mi culpa, pero entré del restaurante, no hay personal sólo para entrar en los timbres, el cuidador masculino me derribó como un perro, me sentí insultado.El cuidador me disparó como un perro, me sentí insultado, Parece que la calidad del pueblo británico realmente debe mejorarse.
