From the moment we arrived, the caretaker's service was truly exceptional. They were incredibly welcoming, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay. Their warmth and professionalism made a huge difference.
The house itself was spotlessly clean and very well-maintained. It was clear that great care is taken to ensure the comfort and hygiene of the guests.
As a whole-house rental with three spacious bedrooms, it was perfectly suited for our family. There was plenty of room for everyone to relax comfortably.
One of the major conveniences was the fully equipped kitchen. It had every single cooking utensil and appliance we could possibly need, which made preparing meals for the family easy and enjoyable.

CChloe Lim SanThe heart warming and hospitality of this family is one of my best experiences in Japan.
It was my first time traveling to Hakuba and it was snowing heavily. Masanori san was busy with dinner but he had his daughter to pick me up instead (she have left for university so I reckon on normal days, he will have to go out of his way to pick passengers if they needed.) One key thing to note was to specify where you are properly because i took a bus and they didn’t stop me at the interchange but instead they dropped me off at the Hakuba stop (outside North Face shop) so it was quite confusing and they couldn’t find me at first.
The room is very spacious and the morning snowing view was really nice. The free Hakuba shuttle bus is just one minute away and it comes every hour, you can have breakfast at 7/7.30am and take the shuttle bus at 8/9am (might not come on time but just be earlier as there are many others taking the same bus). In house Onsen was decent with hot enough water but will be perfect if only it was outdoors (more for the ventilation and view).
The dinner made by Masamori san was one of the main reasons why I booked this hotel - French cuisine. It is delicately made and ingredients are carefully sourced, you can literally taste the freshness of their ingredients. Book at least one day in advanced!
At 84, their granny got to be the cutest and sweetest, we sang that one or two Japanese song she knew and she was so happy she served us tea, we kind of almost feel bad that she is serving us but after speaking to her daughter knowing that it is working there that keeps her body strong and makes her happy (so during Covid, she was feeling weak).
And also they link up with Lion Gear for all rental of everything you need. You just have to let Masamori san know and he will arrange for them to pick you up at your preferred time. After choosing your gears, he said they will send me to the slopes (went Goryu/Hakuba 47), but they didn’t and instead they sent me to Happo and I had to bring my gears and walked 20-30mins to the bus stops and paid for the V2 buses (the larger buses are not free - so you got to pay 800Yen per person). After I told Masamori san the story, he was really apologetic and immediately called them up. The next day, he got them to compensate me for the trouble and it really did helped ease the not so great experience and time wasting - the Lion gear boss was generous in compensating and explained that it was their new staff and they didn’t follow the previous arrangements.
Supermarket is about 15-20mins walk away, can be pretty cold but the walk is really nice, proper walking path with snow built up like walls.
All in all, I will still rate this place 9/10 for the hospitality and sincerity of this family, the food and the spaciousness of the room! Highly recommend you to go for the French dinner!

UUsuario invitadoit was an excellent service from the host, fluent in english and he even pick us up and drove us to the station. the villa gave us a magical experience, everything was top notch. and also important thing is the location, if you plan to go to iwatake snowpeaks then komakusa villa is the best place to stay, just 1 minute walk and you can see the gondola from the room. thankyou yutaka fukushima

UUsuario invitadoEste viaje a White Horse se alojó en tres hoteles, a cargo de japoneses, europeos y estadounidenses. Esta casa es la más satisfactoria.
En primer lugar, el hotel elegido por los japoneses en Hakuba debe ser mejor que el de los europeos. No importa la limpieza del hotel o el entusiasmo del jefe.
Esta pareja de ancianos japoneses lleva más de 30 años administrando una casa de familia.
A primera vista, el jefe ha acumulado muchos años. La casa de familia ocupa dos villas unifamiliares, ¡y el jefe es dueño de un autobús! Los dos nos sentamos en el autobús exclusivo para disfrutar del servicio de recogida y devolución. Mi barbilla estaba asustada. Nunca vine a Baima para ver el autobús del hotel.
La ubicacion es genial. A cinco minutos a pie del campamento base, una de las principales paradas de autobús de Hakuba. Si va a Wuxi 47, será más conveniente.
Además de la habitación. Es muy grande y tiene su propio inodoro separado (incluido el baño), que no está disponible en muchos hoteles de estilo japonés. El único defecto de la habitación era para nosotros dos, pero solo había dos camas individuales y ninguna cama grande. Cuando me registré, nos dieron una nueva habitación familiar. También tenía tres camas individuales, así que tal vez no haya una habitación doble.
La habitación que reservamos no incluía las comidas. El desayuno costaba 600 yenes por persona. Pensamos que no era caro y lo probamos. Em, solo había una rebanada de pan tostado y cereal de leche con café ilimitado, lo cual era demasiado monótono y no valía la pena probarlo. Es mejor salir unos cientos de metros para comprar el desayuno cerca del campamento base.
Finalmente, el propietario está muy entusiasmado (esta es la ventaja de todas las familias japonesas). Hay manzanas locales a la venta en la recepción. El precio de 100 es una conciencia. Me quedé 3 noches y comí 5 manzanas. Fue muy dulce.

CChadd LimMy wife and I had an excellent stay at hotel hakuba. It was easy for us to access the neighbouring ski resorts using the free shuttle bus provided by the ski resorts. The breakfast had a good spread and an even better view. One negative feedback is that the beds in the double room is quite uncomfortable.

RRaeMeteor Garden is located conveniently 5-7min drive from main Hakuba Village. One thing to note is that the main cafe in the stay is not open so need to find other dining alternatives. Rooms and amenities are clean and well maintained, the one issue is that it’s not well marked on Google map as it keeps pointing to the restaurant which was not opened and gave us a false alarm. Wifi is not the fastest and does not handle multiple devices that well especially when you are trying to work. There was some confusion when booked via Trip as the contact information was somehow truncated so hotel was unable to contact me without going through Trip thus messages were delayed. Overall it was an enjoyable stay and everyone had a great time…

Overall, it is reasonably priced, conveniently located near the ski resorts, and has a bus shuttle stop right in front that runs between the hotel and the ski areas. The onsen is a great bonus, especially after a day of skiing.
However, I must say that the breakfast is not as good as last year, and the service has declined slightly compared to our previous stay. The open-air onsen is not as clean as before, and the indoor onsen also shows signs of neglect, with used towels piled in the corner.
