The New management is upgrading this facility. We have stayed her while birding Loess Bluffs over the years. Fresh paint, entrance looks much better. They are doing plantings on the outside. The staff is very attentive. It is a family operation, and the owner/ manager is young . It is a cheap place to stay , the breakfast is mediocre ,but, you aren't paying for a HI Express . We had a problem with the TV and the manager came to the room and fixed it. He was describing the plans for the rest of the upgrade . They have 4 suites which is basically a larger room with a jacuzzi, but for the price differential worth it. . .

The hotel has gone downhill with new management. Not terrible, but could be improved. Easy access to the interstate and fuel. Nice small town to visit.

Awesome people, friendly service. Most likely will choose this as my lodging go to. People were really helpful. Stayed here a year ago and would’ve optimistically gave it 3 stars. The new owners truly put some serious work into the place. And good work at that.

Traveled with 8 other friends in four rooms for four nights. The Hindu people running the place couldn't be communicated with easily and wanted to charge us extra a $25/room to check in 1hr 45 min early (1:15pm). Two in a room $200/night! Only the first day was one room cleaned and towels changed. Couldn't get clean towels unless we turned in dirty ones. Shower fixtures pulled out of wall and looked like a child installed the ceiling tiles. The refrigerator missing knob so didn't know if was on/off/cold up or down. My bed had a dip in it. Also, wouldn’t credit my friend's card so I could charge half of the room to mine. Not customer friendly! Not anything I expected for a Super 8 motel. I would not suggest to stay here and to go elsewhere.

Small town friendly and very clean. This hotel far exceeded our expectations and was so much better than the big city money grabbing corporate rip offs down the highway. These small town hidden gems have all been forgotten about.

Holes the size of my head in the towels. One bed was visibly sagging. One floodlight was missing from the bathroom light - leaving an empty, open, uncovered socket & wiring open, with a nonspinning fan.

To say I was disappointed would be an understatement. Desk people flat out lied when asked questions. The Web site showed pictures of a pool when I asked about the pool when I checked in I was told that it was under renovations. When I asked the desk person in the morning he said that there never was a pool and it was a problem with the Web site then later said that it was filled in and they were going to dig it out again in the spring. Will never stay here again.

Start with perfect and work back. I was a late arrival. The clerk seemed shocked that I showed up as he had called me to confirm whether I was a no show and I didn’t answer. I don’t answer random numbers and he didn’t leave a voicemail. Luckily he didn’t give my room to someone else. It was pre-paid, so this is a weird practice! Next odd thing is the “Free Breakfast” ZERO protein. It was Waffle, toast, cereal or packaged muffins.
The hotel is one of only a couple of options in town and to me, after staying there almost a week, I still believe is the best option.
If you are going for the Refuge, this is a really great place to stay. It’s only a few minutes, convenience stores, grocery stores even restaurants all within a few blocks/short walk. And it’s right on the interstate!

Booked a King room and upon arrival was advised they had none, despite the fact that this site still showed availability of a King room.
Asked for restaurant recommendations and hostess mentioned a Mexican restaurant nearby, but would not provide any more information than that. Finally found the Mexican restaurant which was closed. Upon getting into room, there were no lights working over bathroom sink so had to ask for different room.
