I came from Istanbul for a business trip kn 23 26 Jan 2024. There were polite and friendly staff. Dinner was very nice. Rooms were clean. Just there was no any English or other Language channel in the room television or I couldn't find :) The breakfast was quite enough for a Turkish person. Thanks a lot.

Hotel Bornmühle is a quite excellent hotel, where the main emphasis is on activities, spa and wellness. And located in the middle of nowhere. The hotel has excellent German cuisine, but not in international class, and the price level is relatively high. The room standard is good. But - the hotel is not intended for non-German speaking guests. All oral and written communication is in German. OK - we are in Germany, but this is a four-star hotel.

Hotel located on a lake, large rooms, excellent bed, fantastic breakfast (the best one ever tasted, even if not too many sweet alternatives are possible). The swimming pool is very nice, indoor, with large windows. Terrace of the restaurant is looking to the lake and a garden with horses... it is a very relaxing place. That's a pity the waiter is so unpleasant, sure not at the same level of the rest of the personnel of the hotel.

Normalerweise verdient die Gastro-/Hotellerie mit den Getränken. Hier nicht. Hier gibt es einen jungen “Künstler”, dem die Perfektion seiner Kreationen wichtiger ist, als zufriedene Gäste oder Umsatz. Traurig, da ja alle Gastronomen jammern. Aber wenn ich 20 Minuten warten muss um überhaupt bestellen zu können, während 2 Drinks zubereitet werden, dann passt das nicht. Wir sind dann schnell noch nach NB a die Tanke gefahren, da es am Abend zuvor schon genau so war.

Die offene Toilette im Einzelzimmer ist gewöhnungsbedürftig, über die Farbauswahl der Zimmer kann man mal nachdenken bei der nächsten Renovierung. Wellnessbereich ist super und eure Küche ist Sterneverdächtig. Dem Personal scheint es gut zu gehen, was am Service merkbar ist, unbedingt beibehalten!

Wir haben das Wochenende in der Bornmühle verbracht und unsere Erfahrungen waren ganz anders als beim letzten Besuch. Wir reisten gegen 12:30h an. Offizielle Eincheck Zeit ist 15h. In jedem anderen Hotel, wenn man vorzeitig einchecken möchte, wird nachgesehen, ob die Zimmer schon frei sind. Wenn ja, kann man einchecken, wenn nein, wird oft angeboten, dass man telefonisch benachrichtigt wird, wenn die Zimmer bereit sind. Nicht hier in der Bornmühle. Hier wurden wir gleich weggeschickt, erst um 15h darf man einchecken. Punkt. Dann sind wir in den Wellness Bereich, weil wir dort am Pool warten wollten. Und wir konnten sehen, dass der Poolbereich GANZ leer war, kein Mensch drin. Aber auch hier wurden wir abgewiesen. Am Anreisetag darf man erst um 15:30h in den Spa Bereich. Weil „na wenn alle Gäste früher anreisen würden, könnten die Handtücher nicht für alle ausreichen“ . So So, dachten wir uns. Dann wollten wir auf der Terrasse in der Sonne was essen und trinken. Aber nein, hier wird erst gegen Abend bedient. Aber auf der kleinen Terrasse im Schatten, da würde man uns bedienen. Und ab jetzt waren wir bedient! Und zu guter Letzt. Wir fragten dann nach einem late Check-out. Wir könnten statt um 11h um 14h auschecken, zu einem Aufpreis von über 100€ pro Zimmer. So was hatten wir noch NIE erlebt. Und das werden wir auch nicht mehr erleben. In die Bornmühle kehren wir nicht mehr zurück. Von Kundenservice (in einem sogenannten 4 Sterne Hotel) hält man hier leider nichts mehr! Die Zimmer und das Essen waren gut - aber das wars auch.
