PpostcardsandstampsWe enjoyed our stay here, so when we returned from Shangri-la to Lijiang, we made a repeat booking at this place. The cleanliness of the place and the friendliness of the staff were the main reasons for our return.
Location: This place is situated near the border of the Lijiang Ancient City. It is close to the main road (2 min walk) which makes it easy to meet your driver for airport transfer or any tour you join. It is also extremely convenient to get to the main attractions such as Mu Residence (5 min) and Zhongyi Night Market (6-8 min). You will be away from the hustle and bustle at night, and get some peace and quiet.
Room: We were lucky that we got a room on the ground floor, as we had very heavy luggage. It would be very difficult to pull them up the stairs if we were on the upper floor. Every room has a different name, and shows that the owners put some thought into giving each of their guests a unique experience. The room we got was of moderate size, with a small sofa area for you to enjoy tea and snacks. There was also a kettle and four cups, and a 5-litre water dispenser that dispensed hot and cold water - I appreciated this, which was more environmentally friendly and generous than other accommodation which gave us 2 bottles of water (500ml each) each every day. The room was also equipped with heating, for the room and the floor, and they were controlled by the front desk. There was also a humidifier. The room's interior decoration was warm and cozy.
Outdoor: We also enjoyed sitting outdoors, idling, gazing at the fish, watching the flowers bloom, while enjoying many cups of tea.
Toilet: It was of decent size, with a shower cubicle that dispensed hot water pretty quickly. They provided us with everything so there's nothing you need to bring: shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, toothbrush, toothpaste, slippers, slippers for shower, towels for body and hair, one-time face towels, hair dryer, body lotion, soap, detergent.
Service: The staff was hospitable, friendly, and the service was impeccable. We enjoyed chatting with them over many cups of tea, and rose pastries. They even recommended travel routes and restaurants to us, which were very good, and we even got discounts or freebies by telling the restaurants where we were staying. It was easy to communicate with the staff on WeChat, they responded promptly, and arranged free airport transfer for us as we stayed more than three nights.
Food: Breakfast was served every morning, which included a bowl of Yunnan mixian (noodles), a steamed bun, a hard-boiled egg, corn, and some spicy preserved vegetables. Every booking came with one serving of afternoon tea, which included rose pastries and a variety of fruits. We arrived after midnight and the staff prepared some rose pastries and fruit for us, in case we would be hungry, which was very thoughtful of them!

RRenee C.I had a truly memorable stay at YUNDU and would strongly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, tastefully designed, and warm place to stay in Lijiang. Overall, the experience was very positive, with excellent service, cozy design, and many thoughtful touches. There were a few minor areas for improvement, but they did not take away from how much I enjoyed my stay.
Breakfast was excellent and honestly better than many meals I had outside. The local auntie who prepares breakfast is incredibly warm and friendly. The mixian is very foreigner-friendly, light, comforting, and not oily or salty like many outside options. I requested extra vegetables and additional boiled eggs, and she was more than happy to accommodate. This care really stood out.
YUNDU’s Samoyed dog, Sanjin (三斤), is truly the heart and mascot of the hotel. He is extremely friendly and intelligent. Staff would say things like “去拍照，去跟姐姐玩” and Sanjin would immediately come over. During my afternoon tea, he quietly came over and sat beside me, which was a very heart-warming moment. Upon checkout, I even received Sanjin fridge magnets and a Polaroid photo, which was incredibly thoughtful.
First impressions were great.
As part of the package, YUNDU arranged an airport pickup from Lijiang Airport using a clean, comfortable EV. The driver was friendly, chatty, and helpful, and the ride to the hotel was smooth and relaxing.
I was pleasantly surprised with a free room upgrade. The upgraded room was spacious, perfect for morning stretching, and included a large and very clean bathtub. Bath balls and a sheet mask were provided, which was a lovely winter touch. The bed was very comfortable. The pillows were a bit soft for me, but there were firmer ones available, and layering them worked well. The blanket was thick, soft, and warm, and even during power outages, I stayed comfortable.
Facilities were well thought out, including a Laifen hair dryer with strong airflow, a large high-definition TV facing the bed with VIP streaming access, and a large humidifier suitable for overnight use. The bathroom layout was excellent for winter, with separated toilet and shower. The electronic toilet has heating and auto-flush, and the shower area includes warm air from above. The mirror lighting is also great for makeup.
There were some minor layout quirks. There is no floor heating, and the slippers were placed far from the entrance. The electric kettle was placed on a cabinet with no power socket nearby.
Service was one of YUNDU’s strongest points. Staff helped with luggage, provided room tours, and checked in regularly via WeChat. When I mentioned possible altitude discomfort, they even gifted me an oxygen tank. The boss was friendly and happily helped me take photos with Sanjin.
The only small gap was the butler service. I only realised who my butler was on the last night, and one included service, a butler-accompanied visit to Baisha Ancient Town, which never happened — neither I nor the staff remembered it until I reviewed my package later on Trip.com. That said, my butler was extremely efficient in arranging transportation to Lugu Lake, with smooth coordination and reasonable pricing.
The entire property is tastefully decorated, cozy, and inviting. The fireplace in the lobby is a highlight and perfect for winter evenings. During my first two nights, there were power outages. While this delayed some of my work, the room stayed warm. The upside was zero light pollution, and I could see a sky full of stars, which became one of my favourite moments of the stay.
I strongly recommend YUNDU to anyone looking for a beautiful view, thoughtful design, warm service, and a cozy yet affordable stay in Lijiang. If you love Lijiang, come to Baisha. If you love Baisha, come to YUNDU.

From the property, you are treated to breathtaking, unobstructed views of the mountains that remind you exactly why Lijiang is so special.
🛎️ Seamless Service from Start to Finish
Navigating an ancient, car-free city with luggage can be daunting, but the hotel made it effortless. They provided a free car pickup from the train station, and upon arrival at the city gates, they arranged a human rickshaw to whisk our luggage through the stone streets directly to our door.
A special shoutout to 阿龙 (A-Long), 李琳 (Li Lin), and the entire team. They truly go out of their way to make you feel like family rather than just a guest. Their attentive, friendly, and proactive service is the heart of this boutique stay.
🛏️ Modern Comfort Meets Tradition
Our room was a dream—clean, incredibly spacious, and centered around a large window that framed the mountain views perfectly. While the aesthetic is traditional, the amenities are high-tech, ensuring a stay that is as convenient as it is comfortable.
🍎 Heartwarming Touches
We happened to stay during Christmas Eve, and the staff surprised us with two beautifully wrapped Lijiang Apples (平安夜苹果) for good luck and peace. It was such a thoughtful, culturally resonant gesture that made our holiday feel so personal.
✨ All-Inclusive Ease
The value here is exceptional. We loved that breakfast, afternoon tea, and even laundry services were included. It took all the stress out of our travel, allowing us to simply sink into the relaxing atmosphere of the inn.

古城内车辆无法进入，但完全不用担心行李问题。客栈贴心地安排了火车站免费接送，到达古城口后还有人力神同步拉车帮我们把行李一路护送到客栈，服务非常周到。

UUsuario invitadoCuando estaba investigando para mi viaje a Lijiang, me sorprendió la abrumadora oferta de B&B. Una vez que llegamos a las afueras de la ciudad antigua, el dueño del B&B tiró de un carrito para llevar nuestro equipaje. Luego nos invitó a té y pasteles de flores, y nos dio una guía detallada de Lijiang.
Después de registrarnos, decidimos quedarnos allí inmediatamente y cancelamos nuestro otro B&B del viaje (sintiéndonos muy mal por el dueño). Este B&B parecía sencillo y elegante, tranquilo en una zona bulliciosa, limpio y ordenado, con un estilo chino moderno. Solo había seis habitaciones (las fotos no le hacen justicia). A pesar del interior de madera, la insonorización era excelente (el dueño dijo que tenía cinco capas de insonorización). Lo más importante, me sentí como en casa, y siempre podía visitar al dueño para tomar el té. El dueño recomienda restaurantes y cafeterías locales, te dice qué no comprar y dónde comprar lo que sí, e incluso te guía personalmente cuando está disponible. Una noche, incluso nos invitó a cenar (aunque luego le devolví el dinero) y me llevó a un bar de música folclórica local a las 23:00 (le ofrecí una bebida gratis).
En general, alojarse en este B&B es increíblemente sencillo. Ni siquiera necesitas planificar un viaje; simplemente comenta tus ideas con el dueño y te dará sugerencias. Este B&B es una opción ideal si visitas Lijiang. Planeo quedarme un mes la próxima vez. Muy recomendable.

Nos alojamos en este patio de una casa de huéspedes que conserva el estilo antiguo de las casas Naxi: tejas azules sobre tejas azules, ventanas de madera que reflejan las montañas lejanas y el suave tintineo de las campanillas de viento en los aleros, ligero como un sueño. Por la tarde, sacaba una silla de mimbre al patio, tomaba el sol y pelaba naranjas, viendo cómo las nubes flotaban lentamente desde las cumbres hasta los tejados. Incluso el tiempo se ralentizaba, convirtiéndose en poesía.
Por la noche, me dormía arrullado por el viento de la montaña, y mis sueños se llenaban del susurro de los pinos y las estrellas. Al levantarme por la mañana y abrir la ventana, el aire fresco de la montaña nevada se mezclaba con la niebla matutina, y hasta la respiración se sentía pura. Aquí no hay bullicio, solo montañas, nubes, un patio antiguo y días que fluyen lentamente, invitándote a vivir el tiempo de forma tranquila, como un poema. ¡Un buen viaje! Lo recomiendo.

The receptionist 橙子 consistently checked where we were headed and whether transportation was needed, and even reminded us to wear a hat when the UV was strong. Truly thoughtful 👍
I wanted to buy two boxes of flower cakes to bring home, but the shop was quite far from the hotel and I didn’t want to travel that far just for them. Orange took the initiative to bring two boxes back for me from the city. That was incredibly heartwarming 🥹
Even after we checked out, the receptionist 三朵messaged us to make sure we arrived in Shanghai safely 🥹 All these little details show how much they genuinely care about every guest.
There was also a skinny gentleman (didn’t get his name) who kindly reminded us to bring extra clothes or a shawl before we headed to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain Valley, as the weather could be colder up there.
Every night, the butler would check if we needed warm milk or hot chocolate before bed. These small, thoughtful gestures really show how sincere and attentive the staff are.

None of the corners is not instagrammable. The yulong view is perfect, you can see the view from the room and common area. Never forget to mention about their service. I didn’t get the names of the receptionists (a guy and a lady), both are really friendly and helpful, love their smiles. They provide free rides to shuhe and dayan guzhen

AAihuolongguoguodexiaojie和媽媽第一次來麗江玩，對比好多民宿酒店，最終定下了他家，懷着忐忑的心情入住（網上對於麗江古城周邊住宿差評太多），連住3晚贈送接機或送機一次，我們選擇了接機，由於古城道路和設施原因，汽車進不去，所以有三輪車幫忙拉行李，從北門進去，走路不到10分鐘就到民宿了。老闆小哥很熱情的接過行李，並貼心的幫我們升級了帶浴缸的家庭房，房間很大，衞生也很到位，最重要的就是房間裏香香的，連廁所都很香（入住期間一直好奇廁所的香味是從哪來的），附贈的早餐，下午茶，製茶都體驗過了，早餐屬於半自助形式，固定的是每人一份米線套餐，剩下的麪包，蛋糕，炒菜兩種，大米玉米粥，蒸南瓜，咖啡，豆漿，玉米汁都是自助形式，每天都吃的很滿足。下午茶是兩杯咖啡和一塊蛋糕，味道也都很在線，坐在院子裏吃上一頓美味的下午茶，簡直不要太享受了。製茶在古城裡的一個店內，老闆會很耐心的講解制茶過程，還會免費泡適合你的茶供你品嚐，製作的茶餅也會包裝好讓你帶走。入住期間，有任何問題，老闆都會耐心解答，每次出門進門，都會主動打招呼，就像在自己家一樣的温暖。房間的佈局，所用的設備，還有小院及屋頂的陳設，無一不體現老闆的審美在線，愛拍照的小姐姐選擇他家一定沒錯，希望老闆繼續努力，越幹越好，發大財，哈哈

DDonn Tan PSEl hotel de la ciudad de Banyan Tree, con su estilo y su estilo, está situado en el centro de la ciudad. Recomiendo este hotel a cualquiera que esté visitando Lijiang ya que incluso su ubicación es perfecta en el Medio de las 3 antiguas ciudades, así que viajar alrededor está dentro de 10-25mins y lejos de las ruidosas antiguas ciudades ocupadas.
Es mi primera vez que paso tanto tiempo y esfuerzos para dar esta revisión honesta porque creo que todo el equipo de árboles Banyan lo merece. Al entrar en la habitación, es espaciosa y luminosa, sencilla pero elegante, y el ambiente general es limpio y elegante. Las instalaciones de apoyo son completas y se tienen en cuenta en cada detalle las diversas necesidades. Lo que vale la pena mencionar es que la pequeña terraza adjunta al B&B ofrece una vista panorámica de las montañas cubiertas de nieve. Cuando la brisa de la mañana sopla en tus mejillas, te sientes renovado y cómodo. Tomamos té y charlamos aquí, con el magnífico paisaje de las montañas nevadas a la vista. Desde la bienvenida hasta el servicio diario, ya sea un saludo por la mañana o un servicio tranquilo por la noche, podrá sentir su atención y sinceridad hacia cada huésped. Este lugar no solo me permitió experimentar el entusiasmo y la vitalidad de Lijiang, sino que también me hizo sentir la calidez y la comodidad de un B&B. Fue una experiencia de alojamiento excelente y muy rentable.
