We just returned from another amazing time on Soneva Fushi. So lovely to see again many of the folks we know from our former stays. Pastry legend Shanta, chef Ravi from Down to Earth, Ravi from the Tandoori grill and his collegue (Nashid?), also our barefoot guardian Chelsea. Not to forget Majeed from Mihiree, he was so dedicated during breakfast and dinner time. Also, villa host Sonja was very attentive, our bath room was always niceley scented, I loved it! We stayed again in one of the new Crusoe Suites. The villas are really impressive with the high-ceiling wooden entrance door. Nice to have coral-friendly sun lotion and Aloe Vera gel on top of the usual things in the villa. The outdoor area comes with loungers, tables, a swing and extra hammock plus an additional lounge area on the upper deck which is ideal on rainy days. Anyway, still missing the added garden shower which the old categories featured. That was always a very unique feel standing under the open sky amidst the lush greenery. As usual, new constructions are going on and many larger villas are in the making. Also the former entry-levels will be upgraded. Hope the last remaining Soneva Fushi Villa (should be #33) will not be demolished for some nostalgia reasons, even if we never stayed there. Food-wise, it’s really top notch. I am very into the lunch buffet, luckily this time it was open every day due to the temporarily closure of Out of the Blue. The choice of ceviche, tartare, different salads, vegetables, mezze, sushi/sashimi and so on is simply perfect. For the first time we tried Shades of Green with the plant-based dishes and it was also a great experience. Sandbank cocktails on Tuesday are always fabulous, also the subsequent buffet. Yet, on Saturdays it would be good to have an alternative outlet to be open, not only the buffet option. 2 times per week only the buffet is a bit limiting in terms of exploring different venues, especially if you only stay a few days like we do. Vegan is on the way, not only in terms of milk and butter, as well consequently now also in the ice-cream parlour. It tastes surprisingly nice! Once again Eva‘s cheesecake was not on offer unfortunately, as it is one of my favourite flavours. I think the next time I need to pre-order 😉. One thing to mention regarding all outlets: I really value all those real candles which are placed allover. It creates a warm and cosy atmosphere during the night-time, that‘s simply classy. The only flaw food/beverage-wise are the challenging prices. Of course for the active ones there is a big bunch of things to do, especially in terms of water sports with some interesting gadgets like eSurf-board. Wellness lovers have plenty of holistic options in the huge Soul temple and the kids‘ club is simply outstanding. We spent our days riding through the stunning jungle, snorkelling, strolling along the beaches, and sipping some afternoon cocktail at cosy Out of the Sea. En julio de 2022, nos quedamos en el hotel Madi Finolhu por 4 noches, y cuando llegamos, nos acogieron Marten y Mamoon, que fueron muy amables y lo que podían hacer para asegurarnos de que nos sentimos felices y cómodos. La habitación era muy espaciosa, con una cama grande y un montón de habitaciones para manejar. El desayuno se sirve diariamente en el café de Marten, nos gustaba que le ofreciera un desayuno local maldivial cada mañana. Durante nuestra estancia, tuve mi licencia de agua abierta avanzada Padi con el centro de plungeos de Manta Tribe Maldives, que fue genial y nos llevó a algunos lugares de plungeo agradables. El hotel está situado en el centro de la isla de Marten y Mamoon, donde se encuentra el hotel, y se encuentra en el centro de Marten y Mamoon.

Hemos estado dos semanas en familia y la verdad es que hemos vuelto enamorados de la isla, el resort y el trato de todo su personal. El sitio es alucinante, las Villas muy bonitas y cómodas....nos encantó el baño abierto para poder ducharte al aire libre....fue una delicia. Aunque hemos tenido mal tiempo casi todos los días, no ha importado...siempre encontrábamos algo que hacer y el personal ayudaba a que fuese todo fácil con su amabilidad y ganas de ayudar en todo momento. La comida muy buena...siempre había una parte India, una china, y otra más europea....pero había bastante variedad y todo el producto era de calidad. Destacar el restaurante A la Carte....espectacular...por su ubicación, sus vistas y sus deliciosos platos....además de sus puestas de sol con música en directo...placeres inolvidables...y la chica que canta...es un ángel...tiene una voz preciosa que tardaré en olvidar. En el bar principal de la piscina también puedes comer durante toda la mañana y hasta las 15h hamburguesas, fajitas, ensaladas, paninis, pasta....todo súper rico y con buen producto por si te cansas del buffet. Buenas instalaciones deportivas. Con el todo incluido te dejan material para hacer snorkel...totalmente recomendable....hemos alucinado con la cantidad de peces que hay delante mismo del hotel....una locura!...espectacular también la salida de pesca al atardecer...fue increíble! Todo ha estado súper bien organizado...quizá lo peor fueron las 6 horas de espera en Male hasta que salió el avión que te lleva a Dharavandhoo...llegamos a las 7h después de más de 15h de viaje y el avión no salió hasta las 13h....luego una lancha rápida para llegar al resort...bien equipada con buenos motores y muy cómoda. Quiero dar las gracias a todas y cada una de las personas que nos han atendido...especialmente a Prasad por estar siempre pendiente a nuestras peticiones y quiero mandar un saludo especial a Rukman (el señor del bar de la piscina) por ocup**** de que nuestra cerveza siempre estuviese bien fría 💕 y a Della por su eterna sonrisa y dulzura ❤️. Gracias a tod@s...ya soñamos con volver.

Es mejor reservar un paquete de cuatro noches para el desayuno o la cena o dos arenas y dos aguas. El personal de la estación Shuifei le dará la bienvenida y sentirá el entusiasmo. Cuando se encuentre con los huéspedes del hotel en la isla, será recibido calurosamente. Antes de ordenar por la noche, temía no estar acostumbrado a comer. Está completamente más allá de tu imaginación. Los ingredientes son frescos y deliciosos. También puede disfrutar de una noche de cocina japonesa en un hermoso restaurante junto al mar. Si tienes un ama de llaves, ayudarás. La experiencia del concepto es increíble, hotel resort perfecto.

After reading plenty of 5 star reviews on Tripadvisor and Google, we booked at Kiha Beach with half-board accommodation. The whole structure is very clean, the room was very nice, the bed really comfortable, the staff very friendly. Still considering that we are not on a resort Island, we rate the structure itself, the rooms and the cleanliness with 4 Stars. In contrast, in our opinion the food deserves max. of 2 stars. While the small breakfast buffet was “ok”, the dinner menu was quite boring. Actually, we were expecting to enjoy every evening a small buffet as we read on all reviews, But in fact, out of the 7 days we spent at Kiha Beach, the buffet was offered only one evening. As for the other days, latest 1 or 2 hours before dinner we were asked to choose dishes out of a menu with one starter, select among two main dishes and 2 desserts. The reason why was probably the low occupancy. Additionally, the staff wanted us to set a fix time for dinner. The food quality was ok, the selection of dishes, however, we found really boring… Ceasar’s salad (all Europeans will probably find the grated parmesan cheese served with it to be terrible) or a soup as a starter. Chicken, beef or tuna fish as main course (the sauces where always quite similar) with a selection of vegetables as side dish that was the same, evening after evening: roasted carrots, potatoes. Ice cream or fruit or chocolate cake or mango custard pudding as a dessert. The mango custard pudding was delicious! For half board customers sprite and cola are included (no need to mention water 😉).  All in all, we rate the price-performance ratio at Kiha Beach not really good.  We were really impressed about the fairness: for health reasons we asked if they would refund us some money if we leave earlier. The management told us, they would refund all the nights we didn’t spend there. It took 3 weeks and several inquiries “where is the money” before we got the reimbursement, but finally the promised amount was credited on our credit card account.  From of the overall friendly staff, we will keep Salim in our heart. A really cool guy, with a fantastic hospitality and helpfulness.  A final comment that has nothing to do with Kiha Beach particularly, but rather with Dharavandhoo itself. We found the island being full of mosquitos (also Asian tiger mosquitos), flies and sandflies. Impossible to enjoy breakfast as buffet and tables were full of flies. Impossible to stay outside or relax on the beach during daylight without repellent, because of the mosquitos and sandflies. For what we could experience, Dharavandhoo does not really have a real/effective mosquito prevention strategy. Especially the area closer to the small forest on the west side is rich of such nasty insects. Therefore, our dream of spending few days with snorkeling and relaxing on the beach vanished short after arrival. During our stay we also learned about 2 persons that contracted a dengue infection during the previous months. O
