«Wow! Words cannot really describe how wonderful this place is.
We took the bus from Shangrila and the hotel picked us up at a designated spot for a quick 5 minute drive through some of the most spactacular mountain sunset views.
Check in was quick, easy and within minutes we were shown to our room. The room was huge with a floor to ceiling window facing Meili Mountain, a bathtub and projector with huge screen. The sofa was so big I began to think it was a bed.
The shower and toilet were spotlessly clean with beautiful large warm towels as well as some quality toiletries and bathrobes.
The bedroom was well appointed with very large bed, writing desk and a good oxygen supply. The whole place had underfloor heating which was super comfortable.
This little hotel has a rooftop bar/cafe with the most spectacular views. Drinks range from tea and coffee to some cocktails all of which are served with snacks by a very pleasant young man. He was super helpful each time we visited the bar and even made sure the stove was well stocked with logs on the night we wanted to stay late to see the stars.
We had local breakfast at the hotel each morning which was of excellent quality and very filling. We also had our evening meals at the hotel and the quality was excellent with great flavour and variety.
The staff are all super helpful and were able to recommend some local spots to visit as well as arrange a car to Feilai Temple and a car to take us back to Shangrila for a great price.
The whole experience at Deqen Meili GY Banshan Homestay made me wish I had booked more nights. It was the highlight of my trip to Yunnan and I will definitely stay here again next time. I can highly recommend and I miss it so much!»

«very clean hotel with unblocked views. staff were really nice and room was extremely clean. the voice command functions in the room were pretty cool too. there was even a surprise cup of warm yak milk in the evening which was a nice touch. there is also an eatery run by the hotel at the ground floor - the food is great and value for money. highly recommend upgrading/choosing the room with views though bc it looked much nicer and we eventually upgraded on the spot after being allowed to check out the upgraded option.»

«El hotel abrió sus puertas en 2026 y ofrece servicio de transporte, incluyendo un autobús cada 5 minutos por la mañana para ver el amanecer sobre las montañas nevadas. Las instalaciones son, en general, decentes.
Sin embargo, el aspecto más problemático es la calefacción por suelo radiante, que el hotel controla a una temperatura constante de 20 grados Celsius. Nos alojamos en febrero, por lo que la habitación solo estuvo a unos 10 grados Celsius todo el tiempo. Es como estar en un lugar sin aire acondicionado; ya hacía mucho frío afuera, y la única manera de entrar en calor era dándose una ducha caliente. Como ya se mencionó, las habitaciones son grandes, por lo que la amplitud y la calefacción constante a 20 grados Celsius dificultaban aún más subir la temperatura; solo se podía mantener el calor. They arranged an early warning car for me to experience the sunrise over the Meili Snow Mountains. This hotel is close to the bus station, and provides the ability to truly explore the town. ¡Muy Satisfecho! El ambiente es súper bueno y hay oxígeno difuso en la sala de llaves, que se enciende automáticamente de 10 p. m. a 7 a. m. todos los días. Las instalaciones de la habitación también son muy nuevas, el baño es automático ~ el secador de pelo es de Dyson ~ ¡Por supuesto, el entorno está justo enfrente de la montaña nevada de Meili! ¡Impresionante! El hotel es realmente bonito, con vistas a las montañas nevadas. Es muy cómodo disfrutar de la nieve tumbado en la cama. Al principio, reservé una habitación con dos camas individuales, pero el personal de limpieza nos cambió a una habitación de lujo con cama extragrande en el quinto piso sin coste alguno. ¡La vista es aún más hermosa! El desayuno también es delicioso y todas las camareras son muy amables. El diseño del hotel es precioso. Le pedí a un fotógrafo de viajes que me tomara fotos. Al principio quería tomar algunas fotos de forma casual, ¡pero muchas de las que tomé quedaron preciosas! La señorita Wanwan me ofreció un paquete económico y finalmente seleccionó muchas fotos que me gustaron. ¡Amigos! ¡Muy bien! ¡Recomendado!

Recomiendo el hotel si buscas unas buenas vistas de los picos y la montaña Meili. La habitación y baño está muy limpio. Nuestra habitación tenía un balcón con vistas a las montañas. El desayuno es occidental y está muy rico. El dueño del hotel es muy amable y nos ha conseguido un coche privado hasta ninong. Volvería sin duda a este hotel.

UUsuario invitadoExcellent service by all staffs from the moment we stepped out of the car on check-in until we stepped back into the car on check-out! Upon check-in, we were greeted with some snacks and local specialty tea! Check-in was seamless. The afternoon tea were amazing with surreal views of the Meili 13 Peaks. We had early dinner at the hotel restaurant and the food were scrumptious! At 8.30pm, we were served with some local dessert which, also, were delightful! The evening activities were fascinating where knowledgeable staffs explained about the different peaks of Meili Snow Mountain and a brief session of Astronomy! There was also a painting session that was fully assisted by the talented staffs! For breakfast, we were spoilt for choice. Our stomachs were filled with happiness. Will definitely return when we re-visit Shangri-La!

GGlobetrotter & HikerWe highly recommend staying in Yolo Guesthouse if you are staying overnight at Upper Yubeng Village. The owner and staff of the guesthouse was very friendly, helpful and informative throughout our stay.
We connected through WeChat prior to arrival and liaised with the guesthouse for transport from Lower Yubeng to upper Yubeng. The transport was included in the reservation. On arrival in the afternoon, the staff introduced and escorted us to a nearby restaurant for lunch even though it was drizzling.
The guesthouse is strategically located to have views of the valley downstream and upstream. The building structure is sturdy and well designed compared to many other accommodations in the villages. The interior of the room and the rooftop coffee bar is beautifully designed and clean. They also have Dyson hairdryer and Smeg electric kettle. Coffee at the rooftop bar was decent but it was accompanied by amazing views of the valley. We were the only ones at the rooftop bar after check in and we also had their in-house hotpot at night which we enjoyed.
Prior to departing for our day hike (Glacier lake from Upper Yubeng Village) the next day, the guesthouse even provided hiking poles, crampons, bottled water, Red Bull canned drinks and a homely ham and egg sandwich. We were also allowed to leave our bags stored with them as we had to check out in the late afternoon after returning from the hike. After checkout, the guesthouse also helped to call a vehicle to transport us down to lower Yubeng village.
We wished we had stayed here longer throughout our trip to Yubeng. We felt very welcomed and had a memorable stay. Thank you so much!

XxanixxIf you are looking for one of the most affordable ways to wake up to the breathtaking sight of the Meili Snow Mountain, look no further than FANSU at WUNONGDING. Our stay here was nothing short of incredible.
The primary reason for our visit was the sacred Meili Snow mountain, and the view absolutely delivered. Waking up to that majestic panorama right outside our window was a highlight of our entire trip. For the value, it's an unbeatable location.
The hospitality here is what truly sets FANSU apart. The staff are super helpful and friendly, going out of their way to make us feel not just like guests, but like family. They created a homey and comfortable atmosphere that made it hard to leave.
A special memory was made on our last evening when the staff taught us how to sing the beautiful ******* song ”FLY” by ANU. It was a spontaneous, joyful moment that we will cherish forever. A super big thank you to them for that!
Regarding the food: we found the meals to be absolutely yummy and comforting. While we've seen some comments about the dinner being expensive, we found it perfectly reasonable for our usual dining expenditure, and more importantly, the quality and taste justified it. The breakfast was also lovely and set us up perfectly well for the day.
We left with full hearts, amazing photos, and great memories. If you want an authentic, warm, and unforgettable experience facing the Meili Snow Mountain, we cannot recommend FANSU highly enough.

LLinda PuiJust to make it clear that the location of this hotel is not at the Meili Viewing Platform. You need to walk around 10 minutes to reach the platform to watch Meili at sunrise. The mountain that is in the background of the hotel is Baima mountain.
Having said that, we loved our stay at this hotel. The cabin was nicely decorated and equipped with all amenities. We loved the bathroom! The heater was working well in the cold weather.
The uncle was lovely. It was a bit hard for us to conmunicate what we wanted as we don't speak Chinese but through Wechat translation he was able to arrange a car (shared trip) to Mingyong Glacier and a private transfer back to Shangri La for us. The auntie at the breakfast was also lovely and welcoming, trying to chat with us all the time.
One thing to note is that aroud the area there are a lot of construction sites (there is one opposite the hotel), so it can be dusty and noisy at times. Please check with the hotel about the construction if it is still ongoing during the time you want to visit.
All in all, I highly recommend this place if you want a lovely cabin experience (with sky window!) away from the busy area. However, you won't see Meili from the hotel's windows.

Es como un paraíso. Viviendo en el Templo Feilai, extrañaba la montaña dorada bajo el sol, pero descubrí este lugar inesperadamente. Disfruté del valle nevado en solitario. El servicio también fue muy atento. Me cambiaron a una habitación de categoría superior. La cena y el desayuno estaban deliciosos. También pude montar en karts. Fue una sorpresa.

La habitación es espaciosa y cómoda, con una ubicación excelente, justo frente a las montañas nevadas. A la mañana siguiente, coincidió con el sol dorado de las montañas, lo que causó una gran impresión visual. Hua Zong organizó un coche especial para llegar a la tienda y preparó con esmero desayuno, comidas para llevar y cenas, prácticas y deliciosas. También preparó bastones de senderismo, garras de hielo, etc., que resultaron muy útiles para caminar por la línea del lago helado. Que tu hogar lejano prospere y tenga un futuro brillante. Que la flor siempre lo logre, es mejor que la caña de azúcar.
