«The service did not reach the expectations. As the description said, we can leave the baggages with the hotel. And when we asked, she just said that we can just leave our bags by the couch, with the not-a-service mind. The second front person we encountered was just a tiny bit better. So we had to go outside and pay for the bag deposit. The cleanliness is another problem. The floor inside the room was so sticky, to the point that we needed to wear the slippers all the time. We didn’t want to bother the receptionist so we had to endure that issue. We also requested the non-smoking room but we got the one filled of smoking smell.»

«This hotel was exceptional - the room was very clean, modern, and bright. The breakfast was also very extensive in selection - I'm a vegetarian and I had no problem finding things to eat. What stood out the most, though, was the service. From the concierge and dining / room service staff, to the housekeeping team, everyone was incredibly sweet, smiled a lot and went out of their way to be helpful. It's the best service I've received in a hotel anywhere in the world. Thank you to Able and Mark, and all of the other staff whose names I didn't manage to catch!»

HHenry from Toronto, CanadaThis is a brand new hotel in a developing city. Everything in the hotel was modern. My room was quite large and the TV was gigantic. The free laundry facilities were the nicest I've seen during my 7 week trip in China. I tried the breakfast one morning, and it was decent. The hotel seemed quite empty, likely because not many people and businesses have moved into the area yet. I did find a few restaurants within a short walk of the hotel. If I'm in the area again, I would stay at this hotel again.

UUsuario invitadoMy and my sister stayed there for two nights, the hotel had a great location on the owner was so kind to pick us up from the train station and to bring us back to the station at the end of our stay. He also carried our luggage. The room was clean and pretty, the bathroom and the shower were together so it wasn't comfertable to take a shower, but we had warm water, the floor was also warm. There wasn't a room service but we asked for more towels and slippers and they brought it to us. The towels weren't comfertable and the pillows were so hard we decided to sleep without it. But overall the stay was very good, the owner was amazing and a great location (10 minutes walk from baili gorge). Recommend not going on winter because it was too freezing and the view is not as great.

QQueenNatWooWe had a great time at the Holiday Inn Baoding. We arrived late in the evening. You know it’s a great trip when you have so much fun you forget to take photos. Checkin was a smooth process, there was a market store were you can get gifts, Lana is, drinks. Toiletries and etc. We received a free car wash that we used when we checked-out. It’s located on the property. The hot springs is located in another building that was a quick walk. This place is adult and kid friendly. Although you are in the middle of nowhere the city is just a quick drive. We did a little shopping at the shoe store. The room was comfortable and spacious. It’s great for families, our 13yr old son loved it.

La ubicación es inmejorable, cerca de zonas comerciales y atracciones turísticas, lo que facilita enormemente el desplazamiento. La habitación era amplia y luminosa, con Smart TV y wifi de alta velocidad para satisfacer todas mis necesidades de entretenimiento y trabajo. El colchón tenía la firmeza ideal y las cortinas opacas me aseguraron un buen descanso. La limpieza era impecable; el baño contaba con una ducha y un inodoro separados, sin olores, y las toallas eran suaves y gruesas. El personal de recepción no solo gestionó el check-in rápidamente, sino que también me recomendó restaurantes y rutas locales. Incluso respondieron al instante cuando les pedí prestado un cargador. Recibí un servicio excepcional durante todo el viaje, ¡y sin duda merece cinco estrellas!

GGlenysMThe Modern Crystal Hotel in Baoding is only a 2 minute walk to & from Baoding Railway Station and there are lots of small shops and places to eat, as well as a shopping mall nearby which includes an Apple store! The hotel is quite old and some parts of the rooms I saw were badly in need of refurbishing, but the customer service is excellent. Every staff member I dealt with during my 3 night stay was wonderful …. the Reception staff, and the lovely ladies who clean the rooms and work in the dining room were all consistently and naturally extremely helpful and friendly to me ☺️ The Reception staff ask if you use WeChat, which is great, because you can message them if you need to ask anything and they respond immediately. One of the young guys on Reception went out of his way to help me when the sole of my shoe came away from my shoe, by trying to find a shoe repair shop (there wasn’t one) and then finding & ordering shoe repair glue on Amazon China for me and delivering it to me in my room an hour later! That kind of service is really heartwarming to a foreign traveller 💜 There is a hotel laundry available for guests to use, which was great! BYO laundry detergent. The only real issue - and it’s a major issue - was that smoking is allowed (and encouraged) in the hotel, which, as an Australian, I find shocking and quite unacceptable in this day & age of global “no smoking” health laws. The first room I was allocated smelt so badly of cigarette smoke, I couldn’t stay in it and requested a clean smelling room. The Reception staff complied immediately, and the 2nd room was much better, although it also had a very faint cigarette smell which was not ideal because it spoils the enjoyment of the room, and a No Smoking room should not smell of cigarette smoke at all, but I assume that every room was probably the same. Even the lifts & foyers on each floor smelt badly of cigarette smoke, and it wasn’t nice to see ashtrays everywhere. I have found the same problem in other hotels in China on this visit, more than ever before, and it’s really not pleasant for those of us who hate the smell of cigarette smoke and also get headaches from the horrible smell. It’s a shame, because no matter how excellent the customer service is, the cigarette smoking would prevent me from booking there again, or recommending it to anyone. Pity 😟
