North Devon Resort

Stayed in a second floor apartment for the weekend. Very basic rooms, no hairdryer or baking trays / utensils considering it's a self catering holiday. The apartment wasn't the cleanest I've ever stayed in; dirty sofa, the carpet didn't even met the edge of the room!!! The shower was very grotty... The surprise on our final night was a bingo night at their venue - due to finish at 10:30pm. The loudness of the music and riotous shouting was unbearable whilst trying to get to sleep with a child. The music abd shouting continued for over an hour past the finale - with no venue staff on site to complain to. It really ruined the holiday and what was a wkend stay and looked good on the pictures was quite the opposite and huge huge disappointed. We shall be staying elsewhere in future.

I am sharing this anywhere I can because I don t want other to experience what we did, We were Informed at the time of booking that there was a function there that evening which explained the lack of parking we didn't dare pop down into Ilfracombe because we knew we wouldn't have a parking space when we returned the function was actually a boxing match which as promised finished by about 10 o'clock we thought we may then be able to get some rest. 30 minutes later as we were just starting to settle down the boxing crew decided to pack down their gear and proceeded to throw it into the back of their pickup trucks making more noise than your average scaffolding company removing a three story scaffolding build. We were aware that the disco was still running however we were able to deal with the constant thumping noise from the disco as it was quite a constant beat and finally finished at about 11.30. However once the disco finished people decided to take the party back to their rooms screaming shouting fighting you name it, it happened on our block screaming banshees is the only way to describe the singing skills that we were exposed to. We were at the end of our holiday from travelling around the Cotswolds my husband had developed a condition with his heart which was known to us and we know the best way to deal with it is for him to have a good night's sleep that was the reason we had booked the room rather than another night camping, unfortunately not being able to sleep until gone half passed three in the morning meant that he didn't get the rest we had hoped and are such I had wasted over £100. People getting up at 6 to check out ment we got no more than 3hrs rest as the walls are paper thin and floorboard creaking ment we heard every move upstairs, added to the banging if bathroom doors and front doors, The 75 pound security that is taken when you get the keys and is then held for a week is beyond a joke when you consider the condition of the rooms the tap in the kitchen was not fixed and wobbled constantly the general decor was heavily bruised doors had their covers peeling off there was no lock on the bathroom door and holes present shower was in need of a good deep clean. Added to this the majority of this hotel is set down to emergency housing so not the most savoury of residents. Felt very unsafe. We would have been better off sleeping in the back of our van, but weren't sure if it would actually be in the parking space in the morning. No support from the staff no one on duty to deal with issues, when we checked out the guy was in tears as no doubt many had not been as considerate as I was. The company should have been refunding all that had a bad night there that night due to their inability to monitor the situation

Came with the family as a weekend getaway. Monkey Puzzle restaurant was lovely, kids club was also amazing. Makes it so much easier to relax as parents when the kids are being looked after. Very trustworthy and welcoming staff. Has a lovely spa, sauna and swimming pool. Food is enjoyable, rooms have lovely views and reception are extremely helpful in terms of specific requirements you may need (easy access, pet friendly rooms, etc.)

I stayed with my partner in one of the sea view apartments and honestly was stunned. The level of cleanliness was astounding, beds and pillows were fluffy and set the night up for a lovely sleep (which is usually quite difficult), views were amazing, TVs in rooms allow you to watch Netflix, Prime, etc. Staff were lovely and super welcoming at reception, and the food was surprisingly tasty and affordable. Would definitely recommend.

We stayed here for a friends birthday, we had a superior apartment it was clean and a good size. Really welcoming staff, and happy to help. The park was quiet, but this did not bother us. We ate in the Monkey puzzle a few nights, such yummy food! Overall a good weekend away.

We are utterly disgusted in that the Holiday Park took all our money for an appartment for 3 days paid up front-£420- despite the fact that it was absolutely impossible to get there as our car broke down on a bank holiday weekend. We asked them very nicely to at least refund us in part, seeing it was"Force majeure",but we only got a curt reply" you should have taken out travel insurance ".But I say to you readers" would you take travel insurance out only for 3 days?!!!!!!

We are a family with teens and younger children, found the place to be exactly what we expected and needed. Good clean accommodation, a soft play for younger guests, was a children's club on when we were there, which we didn't have time for but looked well attended. We brought a dog, great to find somewhere that just welcomes dogs. Pets seem to be welcome in a part of the restaurant. We have booked to stay again in October.

I'm absolutely fuming! Ilfracombe holiday park changed the dates of the event I was planning to attend with my family. Then flatly refused to change the dates or refund me the cost when I found out. I've lost a lot of money & I'm disgusted that they wouldn't even compromise. If you're planning to set up an event here or attend one, take my advice & avoid it. I feel thoroughly ripped off.

The entire place is very run down. From the mould in the shower to scratches and stains all over the walls. Check in was fine, we found our room at th e top of the rickety staircase and we had a sea view from the top bedroom window. Th me kitchen and everything you’d need but I was pretty grubby. The living room was ok, small telly and highly uncomfortable couches with other people’s popcorn down the back and underneath. Beds were what you’d expect, shower was mouldy and pretty dismal. Pool had advertised hours but these seemed to depend on the whim of the staff who announced it was closing an hour earlier on one of the days we went swimming. The pool changing rooms had lots of pipes sticking out, unfinished and dirty.
