Hostales en Ámsterdam

La recepción fue fantástica; ofrecían café o bombones de cortesía, y los huéspedes podían comer algo ligero allí. La velocidad de internet era excelente. El ambiente era clásico. Como es un edificio antiguo, hay un ascensor sorprendentemente práctico junto a la estrecha escalera. La ducha y el baño estaban separados, lo que me dio mucha seguridad. El registro fue sencillo. Es fácilmente accesible en autobús o a pie desde la Estación Central. Me encantan los hostales como este.

En realidad, es bastante adecuado para una mujer que viaja sola a Ámsterdam. No está muy cerca del centro, así que el transporte es bastante caro. Hay una pequeña zona comercial cerca y un McDonald's justo afuera del hostal, pero no recomiendo pasear demasiado tarde, ya que puede resultar un poco peligroso. Hay dos plantas, cada una con baño y aseo. Las camas tienen cortinas, lo cual es genial. También hay un espacio de almacenamiento extraíble debajo de cada cama, pero, sinceramente, no me parece muy práctico. La habitación para 12 personas está bastante llena, pero puede ser difícil dormir, así que recomiendo llevar tapones para los oídos.

Un lugar excelente para alojarse, con un servicio fantástico y un personal amable. Buenas conexiones de transporte con el centro de Ámsterdam. Lo recomendaría encarecidamente, lo único que encontramos fue que las almohadas eran muy blandas.

Great location and comfortable stay You really couldn’t ask for a better location — the hostel is only about a 9-minute walk from Amsterdam Central Station and right in the heart of the action. The hostel is clean and tidy, and the bed was comfortable. Each bed has a locker, personal light, USB ports and a standard power socket, plus a hook for hanging clothes. The air conditioning was very strong, which was great during the summer heat. The stairs are quite steep, so heavy luggage can be a challenge, and the ladder to the top bunk is a little difficult to use. The toilets were clean, although I had an issue with the hot water one evening. The showers also require you to press the button every few seconds to keep the water running. The staff were very polite, friendly and accommodating, which made for a welcoming atmosphere. There’s also convenient luggage storage next door after check-out — €1 per hour or €5 for the whole day. The only real downside is the noise, especially late in the evening. However, this is to be expected given the very central location in Amsterdam’s busy party area. Overall, I had a very comfortable stay and would definitely recommend it for anyone looking for a short stay in Amsterdam, especially if you want to be close to the station and all the main attractions.

Location: it's a great location because it's only a less than 10 minute walk from the Amsterdam Central station. It's so convenient. But the hostel entrance/reception is located inside a pub/restaurant. Personally I have no problem with this. I just find this interesting. There was also a security-looking guy standing at the entrance at night every day too, so it was pretty safe. Cleanliness: it was very clean. Every day someone took out the trash and cleaned the bathroom for us, which I didn't expect. They gave us a new, clean towel every day too. I really like these things about the hostel. Service: It depends on who you meet. The ladies that I talked to were all friendly and helpful. But there was a guy that was rather unhelpful and rude. I asked, ”Do you have data sim cards?” He said, ”No, we don't provide for that.” (Of course I knew the hostel didn't provide sim cards for free; I was asking if the hostel *sells* sim cards.) I asked, ”Do you know where I can get one? I can't get on the internet with the hostel wifi.” He said, ”There's no problem with the hostel wifi, otherwise a lot of people would be complaining about it.” (I wasn't complaining about the hostel wifi wasn't working; I was asking if he knew where I could get a sim card since I couldn't get on the internet to look for them.) Facilities: I like that there was a curtain on each bed. The bed and the room were also spacious enough. The windows were almost soundproof, isolating all the noises from the people drinking downstairs. The bathroom was also very clean. The only thing I didn't like was that there were brown stains on the blanket, which looked disgusting. There was also space for luggages (it's on the 2nd floor) if you don't want to store them in your room. There was, however, no kitchen or common areas. But the room was big enough and had a table. It was ok for me. One thing I really didn't like were the people who stayed in my room. All of them were obnoxious: wouldn't clean up after using the bathroom (hair everywhere), leaving their stuff in the bathroom/on the table so others couldn't use the space/table, kept coughing all night (meaning they were sick) and wouldn't open the windows for ventilation. I hardly had a good night's sleep because they kept coughing at night. But this wasn't the hostel's fault. It's those people's problems. All in all, I recommend staying at this hotel.

Everything was good until one guest decided to eat very smelly food in the room and we were very uncomfortable with the strong smell. I hope that only allow food like crisps or cheese sandwich or chocolate. But food like doner or meat sandwiches shouldn't be allowed in the room.

Puramente juvenil, quizá por eso no fui a todos 💯. El persistente olor a tabaco por todo Ámsterdam, en la planta baja, donde están las zonas comunes. Lamentablemente, no hay baños separados para mujeres, solo comunes, de ahí los baños tan sucios. Pero hay una cocina con armarios, neveras, hornillos y vajilla. Hay un bar con precios accesibles. Las camas son cómodas para dormir y la ropa de cama está limpia.

El ambiente es como un campo de concentración, pero la actitud en la recepción es muy buena y la ubicación está bien.

-taxes were added when we arrived, each night we add to pay 2€ per person plus others taxes not mentioned when we booked. -it was very noisy, all night we could hear slamming doors and people talking from Time to Time. -The bedroom was very big and well equiped (fridge) and the host was nice and handful. For the price it was overall correct.
