Arrived early to be informed no problem with checking in early & that we were guests of the day so Lara informed us & we were upgraded to luxury room which was very nice over looking the sirport & terminal and mini bar was free as well as use of the club mellisme lounge which had snacks & drinks all day & free wines beers fizz ect ater 6 in evening including canapes & to top it all free breakfast down in the restraunt, what a wonderfull start to our holiday. We always try to book the Sofital whilst transiting through Gatwick . Thank you so much had a wonderful stay & the young man serving in the club lounge who was very sweet and had a lovely chat about working in the club and in and around GTW. Es genial y muy recomendable. Nuestro vuelo llegó temprano a las 7 am. Aunque no hay servicio de almacenamiento de equipaje debido a la seguridad del aeropuerto, el personal del hotel nos proporcionó una agradable área de espera y nos permitió registrarnos temprano cuando la habitación estaba disponible a las 12:15 p.m. El personal de recepción fue educado y servicial, especialmente la Sra. Magdalena, que fue realmente servicial e hizo un esfuerzo para que nuestra estadía fuera más tranquila y maravillosa 😘🥰👍👏 Excelente ubicación para conectar la terminal norte del aeropuerto de Gatwick. Solo un corredor para conectar, lo que toma menos de un minuto. Gran desayuno de 4 a 10 a. m. para comodidad de los viajeros que vuelan temprano. We had our vow renewal reception here for the most part it was amazing the history the rooms ect but was disappointed with staff and a few other issues Francesca was amazing but some of the other staff were rude to a few of our guests, the tables was not set out like we agreed when i spoke to the manager he said he was doing it his way. To many tables left were the disco was, we had exclusive half hire which means our guest’s only should be in the manor but when some older guests went to sit round the fire to chat there was another couple there that wasn’t with us so our guests couldn’t sit round the open fire . Also oneof the rooms included was full of chairs the receptionist was good and had them moved to another room but this took a while because her paperwork said it wasn’t included but our paperwork said it was . We was told at 12 all non staying guests were to leave , and the bar would remain open for our guests staying as long as we wanted but they called last orders at 11:30 and that was it ,it stayed closed so we couldn’t even order a soft drink or packet of crisps when a few of the guests were hungry and thirsty.
