I'm going to give my honest review about Gold Tulip Resort in Dar es Salaam. This should not be a 4 Star Hotel it should be a 2.5 - 3 Star. My husband and I stayed at this location from 02/02/23 - 02/10/23. The driver for the hotel picked my husband and I up from the airport very nice man. I would like to talk about the Pro's and Con's of this place. Con's Finally arriving at our destination I was so confused and disturbed by how unpleasant it looked in the back of the building. The inside of the receptionist lobby was very clean and it smelled amazing. It was nice and cool. Taking the elevator to the 16th floor was extremely hot. They should install an air conditioning system or a fan inside of the elevator because it's very hot an muggy. My husband and I stayed in room 1606. The room was nice and spacious. Several things I did not like about the room. 1. TV was really small and it wasn't directly in the middle where it should've been. 2. No sports station only in the restaurant on the 20th and 21st floor which was super annoying. You're not able to enjoy your stay and watch sports in your room. 3. On February 9th it stormed and my husband and I were asleep. The sound of the thunder and lightening woke me up. I tried going back to sleep but I kept hearing rain drops which sounded as if it the rain was dropping onto the floor. I get up at 3am and check and low and behold the window seal was completely drenched and water was also on the floor. How is this possible??? They need to do some immediate work on their windows because this is extremely dangerous. 4. Bathroom was very unpleasant looking. The toilet was absolutely disgusting. No matter how many times the housekeeper came to clean the inside of the toilet where the water refills was so corded with rust. Everytime we flushed the water was brown. That was disgusting. It really bothers me when I needed to shower water would get all over the floor because there was no door to keep the water inside the shower. The existing glass door that's there water gets underneath it and gets all over the floor. Water temperature takes time to get hot. 5. Air conditioner unit is horrible and they need to replace all of them in each room. For this place to charge so much money they can afford to upgrade the air conditioning unit, TV, TV Stations, Glass door for shower, toilets, etc... 6. My husband and I ate at their restaurant almost everyday. The prices of their breakfast is ridiculous because the food they have for all you can eat wasn't pleasant. To charge what they charge is a bit outrageous. The drinks they have out are NEVER and I mean NEVER iced cold. When you ask them for ice it's always a hassle to get because their machine doesn't always work. It's really hot in the morning and not having an iced cold beverage is annoying. Dinner Menu I got really bored with. First thing I ordered on their menu was Chicken Tom Yom Soup. When I tell you this soup was no where near Tom Yom.soup. It tasted not

I spent one night in the Chelsea Hotel to do some sightseeing in Dar and it was very good for that purpose. The hotel was a little bit dated, but otherwise completely up to the standards which I expect from a hotel. It's located not far from the clock tower, which to my understanding pinpoints the centerpoint of the city. The actual sights I went to see started further away, about 20 minutes by foot. The room was adequate in size and had good aircon. I had a twin room. I first tried sleeping in the bed further away from the aircon, but the air blew directly there, so I had to move to the bed right under the aircon unit. The hotel was located close to a busy road and the honking of the cars could be heard up to the sixth floor. However it wasn't bad. The breakfast was ok. It didn't have a very wide selection, but the items I tried were tasty and of good quality. Also the setting in the restaurant was pleasant. The only negative I have to say is the extraorbitant exchange rate. I had paid my room rate in advance, but I had to pay the city tax (1.50 USD) at the hotel. I asked to pay in Tsh and had to pay 7000 Tsh, equivalent to about 3$. My loss was only 1.50$, so it wasn't a big deal in my case, but the principle left a bad taste in my mouth. If the room rate would have been 1.50$ higher but the city tax 3500 Tsh, I would have left as a happy customer. The hotel offered airport transfer for 42000 Tsh. It was quite pricy. The fixed price at the official taxi stand at the airport was 30000 Tsh. On the way back to the airport I used a rideshare app to get my transfer, it cost Tsh 12000.

Excelente ubicación y servicio:) Cerca del puerto donde se toma el ferry y del Museo. Incluye desayuno buffet muy completo, instalaciones en excelentes condiciones y un gran servicio por parte de todo el personal.

Situado en una ubicación muy central en la ciudad. Servicios están bien. Seguridad es buena y estrecha. Más selección de restaurantes/bars será buena. En general, una agradable estancia.

Honestly I have received the best service in RAMADA RESORT.. ! I would highly suggest anyone to go since it’s facilities are super great and highly cleaning 😍😍.. it’s location is dope with the best ocean view 🌊 ... the beeesstt in DARESALAAM 🥰🥰🥰🥰

Hôtel sympa, avec chambre, terrasse qui donne sur une plage, la mer, incroyable, grande chambre, avec de l'espace, petit déjeuner devant la piscine et la vue au top, en plus bien situé, à côté de petit restaurant et autres activités, le service est top pour ma part, quelques animations de l'hôtel qui fais passer le temps en soirée. À revenir avec les amis pour passer un séjour à Dar Es Salaam.

This is a 5 star hotel in downtown Dar with a very interesting history. I booked an arrival airport transfer that was simply forgotten. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful but most other staff members barely noticed the guests. My room was large but not in very good condition. Breakfast was excellent.

He pedido pasteles para varias celebraciones y siempre ha sido una experiencia maravillosa con amigos y familias que disfrutan de las pasteles. Me gustaría extender mi sincero agradecimiento al jefe Pankaj, que hace poco hizo la torta de la muñeca por mi pequeña princesa como quería y lo hizo muy especial para ella. No he estado en el centro de la ciudad, pero no he estado en el centro de la ciudad.

Great atmosphere and tasty food. Walking into the property with its lush green gives you a sense of zen and the restaurant by the water follows the same vibe. Loved the shells curtains and the sand lounge area. Food was simple but tasty and service was great. We went for dinner but very impressed with the grounds and will consider staying there next time.
