facilities are too old. Light in the toilet will result a storm noise. No refrigerator. All electric sockets are loose.

This is a lovely hotel! The staff are very friendly and considerate - when I was there I was a solo traveller and they had a wedding on, as I wasn't part of the wedding party they made sure I had a room away from the festivities. The room had a fantastic view and there was no noise from the wedding. There weren't many power sockets but you rarely have everything you want in life! Great stay, I'll definitely return one day.

The staff in the restaurant were polite and friendly. I asked at reception if I could have a quiet room and was then given a room overlooking a busy road. I had to buy ear plugs to sleep.

Lack of hotels in the area except for Brighton, took a chance and pleasantly surprised. Old period building with quirky features if a little dates on rooms and in need of TLC, however room clean and well appointed. Staff friendly and attentive and the breakfast was the best I have had in the UK by a margin. All produce tasted fresh and high end quality wise. Just stay for the full English if nothing else! If you can’t do stairs however give it a miss. Will definitely stay again.

The decor was nice and didn't feel too dated. The receptionist was friendly and efficient. However, I was left waiting for a long time at the bar to get a drink. I was speaking to someone at the bar when my food arrived, but no one told me, so I don't know how long the food had been on my table before I got back to it. In the morning, I had to have a cold shower because, apparently the pilot light went out on the boiler because of the wind. The bed was also very soft and uncomfortable.
