A listed building so you will encounter the odd problem concerned with age. The staff were very pleasant throughout: cheerful and attentive. The dining was good and you expected a wait for freshly cooked hot and edible food. At lunchtime I had the best ham sandwich that I have had in years. We were there during the heatwave so the lack of AC and the constant noise from a very busy main road was a small problem but nothing that the owners could do about that. A most enjoyable 2 day stay that I would be more than happy to repeat.

Reception was very good. Called us during the day to check our arrival time and any requirements.
Room was very nice with lots of extra touches.
Good breakfast and choices available.
All staff cheerful and helpful.
Would definitely stay again as we visit the area regularly.

Loved our room (Cheddar) and had excellent service at check-in and checkout. The food and service for dinner and breakfast were top-notch as well. We would stay here again anytime!

honestly, we didn’t know what to expect when we checked in, but it was one of the best place we’ve stayed . absolutely brilliant Service food in the restaurant couldn’t get enough of it was brilliant
