We had a wonderful time! The Airport is only a 5 minute bus ride away and there is a bus stop close to the hotel. It’s also an easy walk to the bus station and Continente. Car parking appeared quite limited. I found the staff to be polite and friendly, and the hotel is beautifully clean. I was very happy with our room, it was clean and in good repair. We had a fridge, and were provided bottled water each day. Rooms are cleaned daily. Amazing views from our room, no balcony but dual aspect windows that can be opened fully, which was good as the air conditioning didn’t seem to do much. Aeroplanes can be heard, but it didn’t bother me. We did all inclusive….which was wonderful….limited vegetarian items were available BUT we didn’t inform the hotel as hubby didn’t want to make it an issue. And usually a choice of 3 meat or fish options, with a soup, a pasta and salads, pastries, breads, fruit, desserts etc. we drank mainly shandy, fruit juices, coke and a few cocktails…..there is a list in the piano bar of what drinks are available on fully inc. There is evening entertainment (some better than others! ) and a lovely chap who organises bingo etc. They even provided us with a bottle of plonk on my birthday. The hotel is right on the promenade and there’s some fabulous walks to be done. The hotel has, table tennis, billiards, tennis, a dive club etc. It’s a quiet area, with small shops,ice cream parlour, restaurants, cafes etc. I would like to know how busy it gets in summer! I would love to go again!

Having just spent 5 nights at Ocean Gardens I think it represents really good value for money. There’s a few things that if addressed would have made my stay perfect but I think back to how reasonably priced this place was and I don’t think you can expect perfection. Firstly I’ll mention the beautiful views. From my room and balcony I could see out into the ocean and it’s lovely. Unfortunately this also looks out onto a road which at times was a little noisy. If you’re a light sleeper this may bother you in the morning. From the restaurant and pool areas you can see out into the bay of Funchal. This is an exceptional view. The restaurant was lovely, brilliant setting and good service. The food is well cooked and represents typical food of the area. Though it’s very meat-heavy! There was music playing on a few nights that made me want to pierce my ear drums but that’s personal taste! The room itself was spacious but a little dated. At first I was impressed by the huge bed but it was in fact two singles pushed together not not fixed together. Having two single mattresses meant I really only slept on one for fear of falling down the middle so was a bit disappointing that I spent a week on a single bed tbh. That bathroom is spacious and clean. However I didn’t ever get what I’d consider to be HOT water. Either from the sink, bath or shower. It was warm at best. The room has floorboards and whilst a nice feature it means when someone in walking in the room above or to the side of you, you hear every step! Wifi is patchy at best. Ok in the room but elsewhere in the hotel not so great. Not brilliant because 4G service isn’t perfect in the area either. It rained a few times while I was there and both times that resulted in my balcony being flooded due to there being a slope. The pool area is lovely. Lots of space and loungers. The pics on here don’t do it justice. How’re eve the pool was REALLY cold! Expected for the time of the year and it meant the pool and area were very quiet. Staff are efficient and friendly. The shuttle into Funchal was good but it’s also easy to get into Funchal from the busy stop on front of the hotel at anytime. Reception only give you details for Bus 39 when I’m fact there’s about 4 or 5 buses that can take you on and bring you back. It’s about €2 a trip and they run into the evening. All in all I enjoyed my stay and as above I do this it represents good value for money. But if you’re expecting sleek, modern and perfection you’d maybe want to spend more and look elsewhere.

Położenie przy samym oceanie, bezpłatny shutlle bus do centrum Funchal, restauracja tematyczna ala carte, przepyszne jedzenie - urozmaicone i sporo owoców morza, all inclusive działa bez zarzutu - nie wiem która sangria lepsza czerwona czy biała. Pokoje czyściutkie funkcjonalna duża łazienka. Wieczorem animacje w tym portugalski folklor - pozdrawiam Filipa z recepcji który skradł show :) Obsługa na światowym najwyższym poziomie - Jeśli Madera to na pewno RIU. Widok z restauracji z tarasu sztos do potęgi. Niedaleko hotelu na końcu promenady można wybrać się na klif poza szlakiem.

Reservé esto para un descanso de 3 días basado en las fotos. Se construye dramáticamente en una roca en el sur de Madeira. Mi habitación era enorme y tenía una terraza con vistas al mar. El lugar es grande y un poco de lago. Es muy limpio. Es 4 estrellas y eso porque aunque tiene excelentes instalaciones no es frijoles. Pero eso no es nada de preocuparse. El personal es excelente. He hecho cama y desayuno y el desayuno fue grande, catering con diferentes sabores. We stayed for NYE and the views of the fireworks from the rooftop were unreal! The hotel was so beautiful designed with great attention to detail. Lots of extras in the rooms. The pool temperature was perfect for a New Year's Day swim. Breakfast had so much options I also highly recommend this hotel if you have mobility or accessibility issues. They whole building is adapted to support and the staff are brilliantly helpful

Hotel recomendable ya sea para ir en familia con niños, adolescentes, jovenes, o con amigos. Habitaciones limpias y grandes. Baño amplio. Vistas fascinantes. Servicio gratuito de transfer que te lleva hasta Funchal (tarda unos 15 minutos). El hotel dispone de distintas áreas: piscina exterio, piscina interior, 2 gimnasios, tenis de mesa, animaciones diarias (aquagym, petanca...). El servicio muy amable. El desayuno variado (fruta fresca, distintos quesos, beicon, huevos revueltos, bollería variada, panes varios, y un largo etcetera. Además, realizan también comida en el momento). Se encuentra cerca de la playa Reis Magos. El único punto negativo que destacaría sería que no insistían en las medidas de seguridad COVID-19 respecto al uso de mascarilla o la distancia de seguridad.

La experiencia del cliente es excepcional en todo el mundo. La habitación era muy agradable, y la habitación estaba muy bien. Creo que el nombre del bar era Hoy, no puedo hablar lo suficiente de él. Tienes que probar una de sus recomendaciones de cocktail. 🍸La limpieza global del hotel es muy buena con habitaciones limpias todos los días. La ubicación es muy cerca de todo lo que necesitas. La habitación de la habitación es muy agradable.
