No cumple las expectativas de Belmond. 1. La comida es media, lo mismo que teníamos en un pequeño pueblo, cambiar un chef, no gusto en absoluto. 2. En un desayuno camareros siempre trae frutas y después de 5 minutos preguntando si los necesito. ¿Por qué en la tierra debo comer frutas en 5 minutos? Y por qué lo necesitas? La calidad y la variedad del desayuno no es agradable todos los días no teníamos frescos azul. En mi país tengo azul de Perú y es más fresco. ¿Cómo es posible? 3. Bienvenido no es en estilo Belmond: no hay champán ni chocolate bueno. 4. Un día pedimos que limpiara la habitación antes de 12, que lo hiciera, vinimos y estaba seguro que estábamos solos en la habitación. Cuando estaba desnudo vi un jardinero en nuestra terraza privada. También me vio. ¿Cómo es posible que entré en nuestra terraza cuando estaba en la habitación????? ¿Con no sonar y golpear???? 5. Alpacas alimentación también es un desastre: todas las personas del hotel vienen, nunca se obtendrán fotos como en Instagram. ¿Por qué no lo hacen por cita? Hemos tenido muchas experiencias con animales en diferentes países, esta es la peor. 6. Las cosas no están bien entrenadas, la comunicación es super artificial. El lugar es hermoso, pero eso es lo peor de Belmond que hemos estado. Pregunte al Monasterio Belmond sobre buena experiencia y servicio de primera calidad.

Our stay at Sumaq Machu Picchu Hotel was excellent. The hotel is new, well maintained, and is an ideal place to enjoy a comfortable rest before visiting Machu Picchu. The service was warm and attentive from the moment we arrived. A staff member was waiting for us at the train station and assisted with our luggage both to the hotel and back to the station upon departure. Our room was comfortable, and the bed provided a much-needed good night’s sleep. The hotel is also conveniently located within a short walk of the bus departure point for Machu Picchu. Everything was clearly explained during check-in, while the check-out process was equally smooth and well organised. Overall, Sumaq Machu Picchu Hotel offers excellent service, comfortable accommodation, and a convenient location. We would highly recommend it to anyone seeking a relaxing stay before visiting Machu Picchu.

Excellent location in Ollanataytembo. About a 5 minute walk from the main plaza and 15 minutes from the train station. The route to the hotel is along a narrow, stone, bumpy path so taxis or colectivos will drop you at the main plaza and you will have to walk the rest of the way. Check in and out was straightforward and the hosts were lovely people. Breakfast was basic but the orange juice and fruit were fresh and tasty! Room itself was very warm with a veranda looking towards the mountains. Bed very comfortable with extra blankets. Bathroom was a bit small but the shower was good after a long day of hiking. Would recommend and would definitely stay again!

The hotel is literally at the train station! Very convenient for taking train to Machu Picchu. However this is an eco lodge - 100 years old & it feels like that. There are no amenities to speak of, the onsite restaurant is very limited especially for vegetarian options.  The rooms are  bare with floors & bed that creaks!! (Did I say it’s a century old?) The bathroom is very basic and more like a 2* hotel. Level of furnishings is again basic.  I paid $425 for 1 night & felt badly conned. Definitely not worth that amount.  Service- receptionist & all staff are very warm n friendly so that was really nice.  Cleanliness- very clean hotel.

La ubicación del hotel está en un extremo de Hot Spring Town, cerca de las aguas termales, por lo que es bastante tranquilo. El río fluye justo al lado del hotel, y el sonido del agua es muy relajante y ayuda a dormir. Las instalaciones son bastante nuevas. ¡Muy recomendable!

La ubicación era buena. El personal de servicio fue amable. El hotel también permitía guardar el equipaje. La habitación estaba limpia. Pero, - la habitación no estaba lista a la hora del check-in. - la habitación asignada estaba encima de la fila de restaurantes, justo al lado de las vías del tren. Extremadamente ruidoso, especialmente cuando pasa el tren (¡y hay muchos trenes!). - se podían escuchar los ruidos de arrastrar sillas de la habitación de arriba. - música a todo volumen en el pasillo temprano por la mañana, alrededor de las 7 a.m.

El servicio es muy bueno, la ubicación es también buena para seguir las atracciones a distancia. Porque el hotel de otoño nos ha actualizado la cama super super super grande. La mañana siguiente también nos ha preparado el desayuno de acuerdo con el tiempo. Además de la comida de buffet, puede ayudarnos a comer huevos por separado. La recepción también explica muy pacientemente dónde y cómo comprar un billete de un caballo de la misma clase.

Time 20min · Helpful and Friendly Owner: A major highlight was the owner. He was exceptionally helpful, offering great advice and guiding us on our tour plans. This local insight was invaluable and made our trip much smoother. · Good Daily Breakfast: The included breakfast was tasty and satisfying, providing a great start to the day. It's also the time when tea and coffee are served, so you can get your caffeine fix before heading out. · Clean and Tidy: Daily cleaning service is provided, and our room was always kept spotless. The hotel feels very well-maintained. · Convenient Currency: As noted, USD is widely accepted in the area at the market rate, which includes settling your bill at the hotel. This makes things very easy for international travelers. Things to Note: · No In-Room Tea/Coffee: Be aware that there are no tea or coffee making facilities in the room. You'll need to wait for the breakfast service or pop out to one of the many nearby cafes if you want a drink outside of those hours.
