CcheungandyHotel room is awesome and overall condition is excellent!! Room was very comfortable! The onsen is great, both indoor and outdoor hot spring were very nice!! The service is outstanding!! Staff are very friendly and attentive!! Definitely would come back next time!!

UUsuario invitadoWe rated this hotel average as we were disappointed with the kaiseki dinner which should be one of the highlights of an onsen hotel. There were expensive sounding items on the menu such as abalone and lobster but they were not fresh and didn’t taste good at all. Prefer to have well prepared less expensive items.
We stayed in Sorakan, however the walkway from the main hotel to Sorakan on the upper part of the slope looked ugly and gave a bad first impression. Otherwise, th main buildings looks impressive.
The compensation is the nice view from the room and the indoor onsen.
The service is up to standard but is more like a city hotel instead of an onsen hotel.

UUsuario invitadoThe hotel is situated 15 minutes taxi ride from the Beppu station. So we have nowhere to go that night. But it's good enough to have hotspring and drinks in the hotel. The staff is very polite and can explain what you can do in English. Then you were lead to the room and tips rejected.
We booked the Kaiseki dinner and breakfast. The dinner time is either 6pm or 6:30pm and the breakfast time 8am or 8:30. The dinner is good but maybe my expectation is quite high, it didn't reach my expectation, especially for the sashimi.
For the onsen, there are 4 private onsens and 2 public. One of the private onsens is closed. Therefore we can use 3. You can use the private onsen when it is not occupied. Just lock the door and turn the plate to the other side. But all the onsen are closed by 12 midnight. And there is a room with free flow beer and soda, but it closes at 10pm. Don't drink beer before taking hotspring.
There is also an onsen in our room which can be used anytime. It's hot at night but not so hot in the next morning. Overall, the view is good. The staff is good. The food is good (just not so great) and the onsens are good. Beppu is a good place to stay a few days more

Aannc9I love this place. It’s so chic and modern. Everywhere is an art. It’s like a hotel inside an art museum. Rooms are spacious with a private Onsen bath in the room. Just have to beware not to soak in the Onsen right after meals or alcohol. Highly recommend to have dinner at the hotel and next door at their sister hotel. We stayed for two nights, so we tried both. The hotel is only around 10 min away from the Hells of Beppu tourist attraction. Best to drive here as the location is up on the hills but they offer free parking.

•the dinner took a long time to eat we didn’t liked the appetizers but the sashimi was fresh and the hotpot was good with lobsters.hotate and puffer fish
•we missed the show at 21:30pm
•the free ramen is delicious we had fun making the ramen
•the bed was soft and we had a great sleep

Nnana528El precio es económico, pero la habitación es muy pequeña. Dado que el hotel de negocios del mismo nombre está al lado, la tienda principal de Jiudian es muy grande, pero cara. Las instalaciones son compartidas. Los baños termales son muy buenos, con zonas interiores y exteriores. Se recomienda especialmente darse un baño por la noche para contemplar el atardecer y el amanecer por la mañana. Se puede disfrutar del mar y de la vista nocturna de Beppu. El desayuno es regular. Los alimentos básicos son limitados y no hay fruta. No olvides llevar traje de baño; es imprescindible ir a la piscina de la azotea.

TTon KorawitThe room I chose to stay in was a mix of modern and traditional Japanese style. The staff provided good service, and the hotel was quite clean. Amenities and Japanese-style robes were available for self-service near the elevator.
There are two onsen baths, both indoor and outdoor.
The hotel is located by the sea, not far from Beppu Tower and nearby restaurants.
The parking area can accommodate multiple cars, and there is no additional charge for parking.

JJunsgI stayed in Beppu for 4 nights, trying different onsens at different hotels.Tsuruta was my last Beppu hotel. Although the room i stayed in is rather dated and items worn out, all necessary equipment are working very well, i stayed at a newer 4.5 star hotel prior and the air-conditioner, hair dryer and toilet exhaust were noisy and faulty, while in the older Tsuruta where everything works well! This don't judge a book by its cover, older hotels is just as good! I've attached a photo of the park and harbour view from my room at Tsuruta.

location: it's relatively further from the station , around a 8-10min walk. there is a 7-11 just around the corner
room: my room came without a bathroom but for the ladies are 3 cubicles shared among the 7 mix gendered guests on the floor. i did not have to wait in line at all. there was more than enough space in the room to open my suitcase wide and still feel comfortable. bed and pillow was a bit hard though, and you can hear anyone talking loudly downstairs outside the building as the room is on 2nd floor, tho that doesnt happen very often.
food: amazing balanced breakfast that changes everyday - really delicious!
onsen: the one on 2F was smaller than 1F, but very good and comfortable. clean too. you can book a private onsen room for 500yen (50mins)
staff: all of them were super friendly, helpful and made me feel welcome. there are english-proficient staff available 24H as well :)
